Not necessarily but it is certainly more difficult. Because your knee has going through the early phases of the healing process, many of the changes to the soft tissue around the knee have occurred. It often takes a long time of consistent exercises and the improvements are typically not as drastic as early on after surgery.

I just downloaded the ortho physical lite app. My best flexion is when I stand on the floor and put my surgical leg up on the first step of the stairs. I lean forward in a lunge position. My knee is now way over and beyond my toes, which was not the case at all in the early stages of PT. This app shows it's around 85° which is not even close to accurate. I tried some other positions that I use for stretching and the numbers are very inconsistent. Maybe it's user error but I'm not sure I'm getting good results. I didn't even think of apps for ROM measurement. Maybe there are others. I love the videos. Thanks!!

Thanks for sharing your feedback. It sounds like you are getting over 90 degrees of bend but the app is not showing that. If you can maybe try measuring with the app with a PT available to watch and do it with you to help identify any issues. There are multiple apps but I unfortunately can’t comment on which is the best for accuracy or cost and availability. I used this app because it was free, at least when I made this video. Thanks for watching!

What is the name of that app

The name of the app is orthophysio lite but I believe this app is no longer active. There a handful of different apps out there. Your surgeon’s office, hospital or physical therapist may be able to connect you with an app they are affiliated with as many of them require a fee / obtaining login credentials. Thanks for watching!
