Was it just me or did the player Andrew, put on of those mulligan cards on top?

It does kinda look like that, but if you pause right around 2:57 as he picks up his deck, you can see the second card's corner peeking out from under the first card

Looked weird with black sleeves on black surface, but the mulliganed cards were under the deck.

why does thespian and Dark depths go to the graveyard? shouldnt it be only thespian?

The original gets legend rule’d before the other one get’s sac’d to make marit lage

When Thespian Stage becomes a copy of Dark Depths, the player chooses one of the lands to be sacrificed to the Legend Rule.
By chosing to sacrifice the original Dark Depths, the player is left with a Dark Depths with no counters on it, thus triggering its ability to sacrifice itself to create a Marit Lage token.

Other commenters explained it perfectly. Both end up in the graveyard if the abilities resolve.

Right i see. i thought The land's ability to generate the token hinged on it just entering the graveyard from the battlefield and that removing all the counters was its built in way of getting there. So i figured legend ruling would suffice however the land requires all counters to be removed to get the token.
