I sat and watched this with my hubby on our TV. We were both in awe that you stayed in a Samurai house that’s over 100 years old. If only those walls could talk! The stories they would tell! Thanks to you and brother Satoshi, I have many many bucket list places to visit. Even though I have many family members that live all over Japan, never have we ever visited places like this. TabiEats has opened up a whole new world for me. Thank you both for allowing many of us to live vicariously through you. Every single Vlog that you share with us, is amazing and shows us how hard you both work for us. Domo arigatou, for ALL that you both do!
First video to watch this morning! Newly retired. Slept in till 9:30... what a joy! Said morning prayers, got coffee, turned this on, cat settled into my belly to be petted. I sat and lingered and savored your trip... So lovely to see!
I visited about 10 years ago in Summer & it was jam-packed with tourists. I remember it being too hot to walk to all the various sites as I recall they are spread out. I also took the bus from Hiroshima but wished I had rented a car to get around as the heritage site is quite vast, a car would make it easier to explore the nearby Sanin region too. If you have time & enjoy slow meandering train trips - the Sanin line is for you. Wandering around Iwami Ginzan I could only imagine the hard life of the miners and their families back in the Edo period who laboured away to extract the silver. I came away thinking of it as a little bit of an eerie place.
Instead of beautiful, the word is majestic. Worthy of world heritage. A time I would never have envisioned or experienced unless through this media. Thank you for sharing such a lovely moment.
Simply amazing to be able to have this experience sleeping in this traditional house that was of a Samurai. The surrounding nature looks incredible with all the majestic trees and mountains. Thank you for sharing.
This was absolutely so wonderful!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with your viewers. I this will leave wonderful memories for the both of you. I wish I could take my cousin and his family here. Who knows...maybe it could happen
I think this is the most beautiful accommodations I have ever seen in your videos.. I don't have words to describe the beauty and the small touches make it even more special. I would love to visit and stay there!!! Thank you for sharing it 🙏💜
I think this is the most incredible place that I’ve seen you visit in all of your videos! The location is beautiful especially the moss along the paths! The hotel is a living museum! Shinichi, I felt the same excitement if all of the lovely historic details and the creative ways that the renovated the space! I will rewatch this video again because there are so many details! Thank you for this!
This was a beautiful house it was one of the most gorgeous interiors I’ve seen it was so rustic looking! what modern amenities they had did not detract from the old style feel, it looks like you guys enjoyed yourself glad you had a great time! looking forward to the next video!
This is definitely one if Japan's most historical hidden treasures . This was magical for me , I felt as though I was walking into the past with you .The Samurai house 🏠 was breathtaking, I loved both the old and the new . Now this I would pay alot of money to stay for the history, ambience, food , and the amazing people. That's exactly what I want to experience for my first visit . Thanks Shinichi World 🌎 I'm totally in love with Japan this trip was amazing. 💛🧡💛🤗👍
What an absolutely stunning place. I think I’d need a few days to explore and immerse myself into enjoying the area to really appreciate it. Your guides and hosts were so knowledgeable and welcoming and clearly love showing visitors this area. The accommodation and overall building was incredible, all the little details adding to peacefulness would make for a very restful stay. Thank you so much Shinichi and Satoshi for sharing your fantastic experience with everyone. I hope to one day visit here myself. Best wishes to you both 😊
Amazing place to stay! Like stepping into the past, but modern too! I want to stay here! Very cool areas to chill and read, study, whatever! I'm wanting to travel to Japan so bad! You two are the luckiest people that I get to follow, thank you for the tour and you do such a good job Shinichi and Satoshi! Much love from Maui Hawaii!
Wow! That was both gorgeous and fascinating! The beautiful natural setting with the jewel-like town nestled in was like taking a very welcome step back in time. So peaceful and idyllic. The mining tunnels remind one how hard and dangerous it was to extract silver from the earth in order to make adornments and practical items of glimmering beauty. And your accommodation--the amazing renovated Samurai compound, and your hosts--were a captivating slice of traditional Japan. If I'm ever fortunate enough to visit Japan, Iwami Ginzan will definitely be on my itinerary! As it is, I'll have to content myself with re-watching this wonderful video several times. There's just so much to take in. Thank you, Shinichi and Satoshi! ❤️❤️🌸
I have no words for this beauty and your tour is one of a kind on youtube. Thank you for it. Such a stay is not possible for lots of people and this place is hardly shown. Take good care ❤️❤️❤️
Wow Shinichi. Can't find this kind of content anywhere. Thank you so much. When we went to Japan last we wanted to experience something showcasing traditional Japan exactly like this. It transports you back 200 + yrs. Maybe next time we visit. Personally I like the side of the hotel you stayed at. We will definitely need a guide if we go to take advantage of all the things to see and do.
Another wonderful video Shinichi and Satoshi! What an amazing place you showed us once again. The accommodation was simply incredible. Iwami Ginzan is another one of those little hidden gems I would love to visit on my next trip to Japan. Everything about this video was so lovely and enjoyable. Thank you!
This is literally my definition of paradise. I’ve never wanted to visit a place more. The surrounding nature reminds me so much of rural Washington in the area that I live. There are many places to go near me that has nature walks like that with all the moss and ferns and forest. And when I lived in a different house six miles away from where I am now the forest I lived within was so much like that, I live in more of a prairie now. But goodness the accommodations the traditional house is breathtaking and I could cry with how much I long to be there. 🥰 It is all perfection to me I am stunned by all the beauty in this place especially the building you are staying in! There’s so much attention to detail and it all is so transporting to a different time. This is for sure on top of my bucket list now 🥺
Omg I would love to experience this place! I was shocked to see an American toilet! Lol Satoshi "understood the assignment" showing the accommodations, didn't he? ...good job
I recently read that Ume Mining disease was more because of the microbes in the soil would cause lung/breathing problems. The acids in ume-treated masks would kill the microbes and people got better.
Great video! I'm just going to make a little observation. When Shinichi talked about other people's abilities to speak English, it sounds offensive and obnoxious. It makes him sound like he is "the judge" about it...yup, it makes him sound judgemental. Thanks for sharing this great video.
Satoshi playing host was so cute! 💗💗💗
Yes it was!! 😊😊
He could have a side hustle as a Geisha.

This video is super impressive but I was totally blown away when saw people cooking on traditional authentic historic kitchen appliances. WOW.
Breathtakingly beautiful. I am in love.
I really truly am floored. Absolutely. I have never desired more to visit a place. 🥺

We have community gardens here in San Diego. We buy a small plot of dirt to grow veggies and fruit like strawberries
Good morning! Happened to get up and started watching....it's 3:10 am in Hawaii.

Loved seeing such a beautiful treasure. I love old architecture and it's fascinating how they've modernized it to be comfortable. I'm just enthralled!

I am fully amazed. May I know how much is the accommodation. I wish to visit there one day. Thanks.
Sad the original buildings had burnt down!!!
There English is pretty good!!!!
And the older lady’s place surprised me too with no power!!!! 😲
There I had my say
How much was the cost per night?
You have a global audience, Shinichi. Sorry, but I'm not getting up at 6 AM to watch your live stream.🙃
