It's just me or the explosions feel... less explosive? Like I have been seeing this for a while and I feel like they are using pretty simular explosion teamplates and just changing the color. Also we are missing a lot of the over the top flashes and camera shake. I mean, not like the new ones look bad, I just think that at least the ultime attacks should be like EXTREMELY flashy when it's a ki blast, like totally over the top, bigger, shinnier, more quaky, up the sound, make them feel like they are REALLY hitting. This could be greatly improved with just minor tweaks imo.
I think the reasom why peolle feel like Sparking Zero looks weird is because we are so used to Budokai Tenkaichi looking like *THAT* . That look that PS2 era games had is just ummatched when it comes to nostalgia and aesthetic.
I'm old enough to ask for an additional Budokai 3 comparison. And I mean the original. They had to censor Broly's ultimate in the HD version for being too brutal.
I see a lot of kids talking about nostalgia and bias, but it doesn't have anything to do with nostalgia and they are the ones who are biased. As with everything new there will always be a large group of people trying to praise everything about it and defend it with their lives, ESPECIALLY in the DB universe, you are the nostalgic fanatics of the game and the concept of DB, that love it so much that cannot accept when something isn't what it could be and have to fight and deny reality. And as usual with these kind of delusional people, they then project that fanatism onto the ones who are making realistic criticism of different aspects of the game. It's the same phenomenon of DBS criticism all over again, the true, biased fanatics are, have always been, and will always be, the ones who can't take any sort of criticism whatsoever without recurring to ad hominem. Of course SZ has way better graphics, that's undeniable, but it falls very short of all it could be. The blasts are unimpressive, thin, lack good enough sounds, appear to have no impact, mostly disappear and just leave the same cloud explosion effect repeated several times. Some of the angles and cammera effects of the attacks leave a lot to desire, such as the cammera in the beam clashes. And a DB game will, normally, be judged largely by the impact, visual and sound effects of its beams, just like a GTA game will be largely judged by its driving physics, so yea, the game looks very good and even fun, but let's not pretend it has a lot of wasted potential.
thanks I can‘t get over the thin beams that all end in similar red / blue dust cloud explosions and vanish as fast as they came. I hope the sound effects can be fixed in the settings somewhat, but man…just make the attacks a bit bigger and last longer…
one big thing bout bt3 the impact and no censorship..it seems sz has censorship and the impact is just not there ..also the lazy fast forwarded effect they added to everybody..heavy characters like broly dont even feel heavy anymore and gogeta ssj4 impact too isnt here anymore..impact is a big thing but yeah sz somehow can't compete to a 15 year old game lol shows how lazy devs are or how the fans are glazing this game so hard that devs don't see anything wrong they definitely have the budget and technology to make this game way better than bt3

@@fzen788 No, look at dragon fist that kid goku or gt goku does. It's lackluster and censored in SZ covered by the dragons with no followed smooth transition to kamehameha
@@greensnake7483I don't know, bro. The only ones I don't feel impact are the Kamehameha's because the aftereffect is a bunch of dust. It feels like you popped a Piñata or something, but apart from that I feel a much more smooth and refined feeling than that od BT3 don't think it's a bad thing though. I myself prefer a smoother feeling rather than a raw and clunky one. I guess it just depends on which feeling you like a the most, but seems like most BT3 fans preferred the old one better so I'm not gonna argue with that
Gigantic hammer isn’t an ultimate in SZ
Seeing Bardock’s current design with an evil smirk looks really weird to me.
Just change his costume and stop crying
@@SprDeleto Did you read my comment?
I was not complaining about Bardock's current design. I only said that the smirk looked weird with his current design (since current Bardock didn't smirk in his appearance in DBS Broly). Geez!
@@startmirca I can’t read so…
Maybe modder might do the extra touch-ups on the PC to bring back the sound effects from the previous games.
Both are good in their own way
After all these years... ALWAYS.
So basically, Sparking Zero is a Budokai 3's remake.
It's the sound; the explosions exist way more, but the sound makes it feel less impactful.
I think the reasom why peolle feel like Sparking Zero looks weird is because we are so used to Budokai Tenkaichi looking like *THAT* .
That look that PS2 era games had is just ummatched when it comes to nostalgia and aesthetic.
Im going to play this full volume and the police is playing with me
insane how a game from almost 2 decades ago looks and sounds better
Glazing like a mf 😭
@@XxxOmniLuvlyfe nah. the 2007 game has impact and structure and doesnt look like a fanmade super

Bruh broly move and big bang kamehameha look better in BT3, more impact and camera shake
There is room for a better SZ sequel indeed
I'm old enough to ask for an additional Budokai 3 comparison.
And I mean the original. They had to censor Broly's ultimate in the HD version for being too brutal.
Bt3 sound effects and finishes fading yo white feel bad ass
Bardock, "Everything!!!"
Some things look better some things look worse. Valid complaints would be lack of SFX and camera shake in some instances.
And a DB game will, normally, be judged largely by the impact, visual and sound effects of its beams, just like a GTA game will be largely judged by its driving physics, so yea, the game looks very good and even fun, but let's not pretend it has a lot of wasted potential.
thanks
I can‘t get over the thin beams that all end in similar red / blue dust cloud explosions and vanish as fast as they came. I hope the sound effects can be fixed in the settings somewhat, but man…just make the attacks a bit bigger and last longer…
I hope they improve the sound effects for Sparking Zero the moves and beams barely have any sound or impact to them
Nostalgia guys commenting just to look like experts
This comment section shows that although the gaming industry in the West is in shambles, however, the audience has unrealistic expectations.
Dead Zone is finally done justice
one big thing bout bt3 the impact and no censorship..it seems sz has censorship and the impact is just not there ..also the lazy fast forwarded effect they added to everybody..heavy characters like broly dont even feel heavy anymore and gogeta ssj4 impact too isnt here anymore..impact is a big thing
but yeah sz somehow can't compete to a 15 year old game lol
shows how lazy devs are or how the fans are glazing this game so hard that devs don't see anything wrong
they definitely have the budget and technology to make this game way better than bt3
how are you gonna say it's censored when we've got one-armed gohan
the nostalgia glasses are on tight it seems

Can you shut up now people never can be happy with anything now days💀💀💀💀 you don’t like don’t play simple fool
Another incredibly outrageous comment.
the only thing what i want for goku ssj4 is to sharpen his eyes like in Bt3, cause in Sparking zero his eyes are slightly roundish.
They based him on Toriyama’s design and not his original GT design.
@@Panamaniax507who gives a fuck about toriyamas design it’s not his character. He didn’t write it or even design the character. His modern designs are fucking awful anyway.

Idk man. I grew uo with BT3 and for me there no comparition. Sparking Zero it's just... Superior
I watched the video again, I think the effects for Gogeta 4's ult were absorbed into the water. Granted, that should've blown up the world, but that could be why it wasn't as explosive. However, SZ is a clear upgrade in every way
Not every way.
