Here's another backing track I recorded for my guitar students at 100 BPM.
You can use this backing track for practising a Major 2 - 5 - 1 (F#min7 to B7 to E△7) or a minor 2-5-1 (F#ø7 to B7 alt to Emin).
Some suggestions...
- Experiment using triads and their inversions
- Experiment using triads as chord extensions: F#m7 is A/F#, B7 is D#dim/B Emaj7 is G#m/E
- Experiment using 7 chords and their inversions
- Experiment using extended chords: 9s, 11s, 13s
- Experiment playing in the same fretboard position
- Experiment with different altered dominant chords and tritone substitutions
You have a bar of II, a bar of V and two bars of I bass note. There's a drum fill every eight bars along with a change of background. Enjoy!
