One of those rare interviews when one feels one really glimpses the person behind the persona. There would appear to be a lot of Chris in John Corbett - making him a vulnerable, very likeable man. Not run of the mill, thoughtful and not a herd animal. Perhaps that is why the role of Chris was so right for him.
I cannot tell the difference between fiction and real...... I suspect John and Chris are merely the same person. Corbett said he did use anecdotes and mayhem from his West Virginia days into his monologues.
This video is the first that you've uploaded that it has appeared in my feed. Thanks for the upload! 👏 👏 👏 I currently live in the PNW and everyone tells me that I should watch the show but it's never been on my streaming services. But I will be keeping my eye out! I'm going to have to check out the DVDs from my library!!
1:10 John Corbett kept that sword. He also said kept the inner guts of that piano in a large garbage bag, When Corbett moved from Seattle the movers thought it was trash in the garbage bag and threw the rest of the crushed piano pieces away.. 5:48 Cosmetology wise he decided on this own to cut his long hair on a Sunday during taping and reaped an whirlwind of anger from the producers who called him into the office and yelled at him about his sudden decision. Yet they worked his sudden short hair into the script and it worked out. 7:19 Corbett says he owns almost all of Chris Stevens clothes from wardrobe. He took them from the prop department trailer.

John Corbett seems so open in almost every interview, but especially this one, so far. I am shocked how many snippets of NX are on my tapes.

John Corbett seems so humble. He’s a fav since watching him as Aiden Shaw in Sex and the City.
