- I hope you guys enjoy the content I provide, although at times I go off on rants. I want to say I appreciate each of you that watch, even the ones that dislike my videos, because at least you gave the it a chance.

Great video. Would love to see some reviews on lower-end aftershaves, some of which I will mention you can get at your local supermarket or drug store. Pinaud and Aqua Velva variants are of them, but I’d also like to see a review/thoughts on Brut, SkinBracer, & Gillette AS Gel. Great to see the channel growing and new content coming, have a great 4th!

Clubmen is my favorite, with Fine American blend being my wife’s favorite to smell.

The problem with all Fine (and PPA) aftershaves is that they have no skin conditioners. I am surprised that Whiskey Woods didn't rate higher.
This video is going on four years, and if I did another I'd revise several things. It probably does warrant another video when I have time. Thank you for the info!

Can’t go wrong with Clubman scents, I’m a real old school guy. Love Aqua Velva Musk and Ice Blue. Stetson, English Leather,and even the newer Old Spice are good too. Nice video. Thanks

Thanks for doing this video for me I was more or less wondering if the were things to look for in an aftershave besides the scent. But I am assuming that they all are going to disinfect and help sooth razor irritation. I just received the Proraso aftershave lozione dopobarba rinfrescante. It has a soothing effect as well as smells great in my opinion. $14 on Amazon. But always great information and thanks for sharing.
Sorry about that! The Proraso aftershave has menthol, correct? A nice cooling effect. As far as what to look for in an aftershave, it depends on the person. If you get irritation from alcohol rich aftershaves you'll want to stay away (obviously) and only use alcohol free splashes or balms.
Personally, I enjoy strong scents that are musky, deep, and mostly complex. Alcohol doesn't affect me negatively so that broadens the range I can choose from. I enjoy balms after a "rough shave" so I avoid the intense alcohol burn. Other times, I have a very smooth shave and enjoy a little tingle of the aftershave. It's all subjective and personal, as scents and base preference is. Anyway, I hope I've been helpful enough and please don't hesitate to ask me any questions.
Thomas the Shaver that was more like what I was looking for thank you. I do like the tingle and burn, but I would also like a nice balm. You you keep telling us there are so many good artisan soaps, aftershaves and balms our on the market. I am excited and truly looking forward to shaving. I just want to ask about a perfume which was available in the nineties, I can’t remember it’s name, but I recall its package, the package had windmill with British rural home with British flag , and it looks similar to silver Lapidus perfume , if you have any idea about such description, please notify me,

Very nice, BUT can we really trust your olfactory sense? Lol. The Pinaud original definitely reminds me of talcum powder. And the Aqua Velva musk smells good, but the opening at the top is way too big. Haha. My first aftershave I've had since middle school - the Old Spice-; just now getting to use it properly. I've looked at what some people do for their after-shave routine, and I've settled on this: cold rinse, apply alum block, after about 1 min rinse off, apply Thayer's, let dry, apply lotion/balm, let dry, apply splash, let dry. It works well, and it's fun. 😃
That after-the-shave routine would make for a 40 minute video! I may try it one day .. lol
Except that most after shaves are intended to be a sanitizer and will break down the balm and dry the face if put on after balm. Aftershave first then balm.
