"While I know I'm not the best at it, I'd like to try to get better at it."
This is what keeps me coming back to Jazza over any other artist that have perfected their niches. I've been watching Jazza for almost 15 years now. He has helped me grow as an artist. He has made me unafraid to try new things and make mistakes and still be proud to show them off. I know he deals with imposter syndrome, so I hope he knows that his value isn't just the skill visible on his artwork, but his personality and attitude as a whole. Jazza is always refining his skill and trying interesting things and I think that's a far more valuable legacy than artists who are scary good at one specific thing. If you happen to read this, Jazza, I've been watching your content since I was 12. I am now 27. You've shaped my adulthood, my career (I'm a graphic designer and I use many of the skills you taught me), my art and even my attitude toward it. Thank you!

So the interesting thing about Beholders (At least in D&D 3.5) is that they canonically come in all kinds of different designs. The variety in appearance can be quite massive and each beholder considers itself to be the one true specimen of beholderkind. So your design would be completely canon!

Hear me out, I would just absolutely love if you did some Brandon Sanderson sketches based on book descriptions. He has some amazingly unique monsters in his novels. Here's a couple,
The Steel Inquisitors from Mistborn series:
    -the ultimate fighting machine
    -black-robed
-tall man with a strong build
-a thick metal spike had been pounded tip-first through each
of the man’s eyes. With shafts as wide as an eye socket, the nail-like spikes
were long enough that their sharp points jutted out about an inch from the
back of the man’s clean-shaven skull. The flat spike ends shone like two
silvery disks, sticking out of the sockets in the front, where the eyes should
    have been.
-intricate eye tattoos-mostly black, with one stark red
line-that marked him as a high-ranking member of the Canton of
    Inquisition
The Chasmfiends from the Stormlight Archive
-crustaceans monsters, carapace is dark violet and extremely durable
-largest known land animals on the planet Roshar
-at least twenty feet wide, six times the height of an adult man at their peak
-long and narrow, with a flattened, split tail reminescent of that of a crayfish
    -eighteen legs
-head is triangular, narrowing down to a point like an arrowhead
-circular mouth, surrounded by several rings of teeth
-eyes set above the jaw, glassy and gree
-nostrils are located at the very end of the maw, while the ears are bare holes slightly behind the eyes

Love this series, love watching your process, seeing how you think and work and being creativity and fun. Enjoyed the indepth explanation of how and what brushes and clipping masks use you. Entertaining, inspiring, informative and just a joy to watch you work and wonder along side you. Helps expand my knowledge and good recommendations for interesting characters and stories

Jazza, just thought you should know the illustration of Willy Wonka is actually not done by Roald Dahl, but by Quentin Blake, the legendary British children's book illustrator who illustrated all of Roald Dahl's books and brought his characters to life. He's 90 years old and still illustrating children's books to this day!

13:13 Jazza mentioned that this reminds him of Mike Wazowski. I then realized it looks like Mike and Celia’s potential kid, with the eyes.

Ha, I originally thought the last one was a beholder. Then when he started talking about Monster's Inc, I thought it was going to be Mike's girlfriend. It would be hilarious if his team throws in a couple of curveballs of describing child friendly characters in horrifying ways.

Roald Dahl's illustrator is the MIGHTY Quentin Blake.
Check his stuff out. It's glorious.

The art style of Willy Wonka that you created, @Jazza, is both interesting and brilliant. Some may believe it to be a mixture between Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp's portrayal of Willy Wonka, and although this may be true, it gives me a feeling reminiscent of the musical adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The few descriptions you provided in your drawing were enough to elicit this response from me, and I must say that I thoroughly enjoy it.

I found it fascinating that Jazza couldn't guess this character just from the description! 😳 Roald Dahl's books are SO much an iconic part of childhood reading down here in Australasia... or at least, they were!! Maybe they're getting pushed out in recent decades by Potter, & now people are only seeing the rather weird movie interpretations. ..?

Fun fact: No two Beholders are alike, every one looks different and believe themselves perfection incarnate
Anyway my suggestion for part 5
    -A large white reptile
    -wings like a bat
    -a lightning ability
    -cerulean eyes
    -both sharp edges and smooth
    Blue-eye White Dragon (Yu-Gi-Oh)

*I would take a bullet for Jazza's Hopkinsville Goblin.*
I love that little gremlin so much oh my gosh-
I think the producers may have unintentionally limited Jazza by putting someone of these in the "character" category instead of the "monster" category - he couldn't seem to get past more anthropomorphized ideas, because he was imaginining them as actual characters that might walk and talk and speak in a book or game.

    2. Damn! I actually got this one right… at least a bit! I thought of them, and then I dismissed the thought, because I was also thinking more in terms of „character“! X-D Still love the picture! Awesome interpretation!
    3. Well, no chance here. Didn‘t even know that was a thing! But great illustration!

There is another, more obscure, creature from D&D that I would love to see Jazza's take on. The Kenku.
    SETTING: Medieval high fantasy
-Wear ill-fitting rags, cloaks, or robes
-Soft, sleek feathers that end at the arms and legs
-Talons made for grasping on hands and feet
-Pointed, black beak indicative of an insect-based diet
    -Wistful, brown eyes
