Awesome video. I myself like casting the long surf rods for halibut. A way to keep your bullets frozen is to pack them in salted ice. It keeps them frozen solid. Or get some dry ice from the store but the salt mix works perfectly. Cheers.

I appreciate the support man. That saltwater trick seems pretty legit. As much fun as it is to fire that bait cannon off I am quickly getting obsessed with kayak fishing. I think that from here on out I will be attempting most of my fishing expeditions on the kayak.

I was thinking it was muzzle loader season there for a second when you were stuffing that thing.

I need to get back down and do some more surf fishing. I built a cannon as well, my issue was the bullets melting too fast as well.

I feel like you need to have them under some dry ice or something but then I worry that the plastic PVC pipe will shatter. When I drive down with my camper I am Glamping I have a the luxury in the RV shoving the bullets in a freezer

@@907shots9 I made my molds out of PVC pipe and it was kinda my fault they melted. I pulled them out because I thought they would come out of the tubes better.

I’ve got a acquaintance that’s used a drone to drop bait off the Texas coast. Have you considered using yours instead of the potato gun?

That’s a good idea. I have looked into it and Alaska has a weight restrictions on how much a drone can carry. Unfortunately it is not a whole bunch of weight. The bait launcher is super fun to use but I think for the sake of production of fish the best bet is to just get in the ocean kayak and head offshore a little bit.
