Hi Keith, beautiful and succint as usual. These little drills helped me nail the technique both on my right and left. Now I am trying to find your telemark turn video. Keep them coming. Regards Steve
Search you tube under Telemark turn on cross country skis...that should do it
its so easy to understand with the way you explain it, i hope my body follows along once our snow comes back again, looking forward to learning and this helps, thank you!
Bill you do such an excellent job on your videos. Thank you. Wish you lived in Wisconsin as I'd hire you as my coach!
Actually the name is Keith and I do on line coaching via video -- if interested contact me at k2nicol@gmail.com
Thank you!!!❤ very helpful tips you share, so appreciated!
Glad it helped
thank you 💓
Would it be easier to do parallel turns and stop with combi boots with ankle support? I read that combi boots give more control when going downhill, i wonder if that’s the case
Yes they do...skate boots give most control for this sort of thing but I only have combi boots and they work fine
Good explanation! Thanks!
I guess as well as flexing you also weight the downhill ski to progress and pivot for the turn?
Very helpful
Is this like snowshoeing and is it harder than snowshoeing
It's very different from snowshoeing. It's harder!
soo much fun being FAT (Ma called me husky) and learning all these BC skills. Once you get that first fall out of the way, it's all downhill!
I don't use groomed trails, its purely in the woods. What kind of skies do I need? Can I do 'skate' style with those type?
dragon0085 you can do skate but it is a lot easier to do classic skiing in the woods
look into back country skis, I think you'll be happier
@@alphayeti7774 I know it's a 5years old comment as I disagree classic is way harder and also thougher in strength and needs more skills than skating needs. That's why people have started more skating than go classic as I love classic and going for many years of it just that style as it's more challenging than skating.
Can you stop like this on classic skis?
Yes- I am using waxable classic skis in the video
Can the way by using a parallel stop be applied to classic XC skis?
Thanks, I will try it next time I'm out.
Let me know how it works
