Thanks, Baptiste!!! :) We're actually out in a suburban part of Tokyo here, and the night view is less dramatic neon than the city centre (I used to live very central, but it's better for the kids out near the parks here). I'll have to try and get some shots of some of my favourite city centre streets next time I get a night off :)
That's such a smooth groove. I also really enjoyed looking at your gear, most of which I'm unfamiliar with but with which I find fascinating. It's also nice seeing the process, watching you create. In the 1980s, I took a basic course in electronic music. We worked with a Moog synth. I remember all the patch cords and experimentation. You must do a lot of experimenting to get the right sounds and create new ones. Much respect!

You've genuinely made my day :) I am actually planning on starting work on a track in this style next week - hopefully with the aim of releasing it on Bandcamp. Fingers crossed I can come up with something worth sharing! But, yeah, Vector Space is amazing. As its most very basic, I treat it like a CV expander (e.g. using it to expand the possibilities of lfos from Batumi, Pam's, or Ochd. But it's so much more than that. It can even mix audio signals. And with all those ouputs, you can be really creative. One nice thing is to send lfos to the inputs, then send some of the outputs to a switch and use that to create a melody.
@@yassokiiba Don't stress, I think that dude just doesn't know how to count a beat; this grooves in all the right places, but for some folks a locked 4×4 with a short guitar loop is all the complexity they need! ¯\(ツ)/¯ C'est la Vie - this little jam was massive, gloomy & lush as hell. You clearly know your way around a patch! 🪢
