A little advice! Making the entire elevator move instead of just part of it will help a lot with maneuverability. Also on the delta wing mirage i noticed when taking off the plane would squat down a lot and drag the drop tank. I would stiffen the suspension more so this doesnt happen. Also, i suggest trying to use a controller or i think the game even has a mouse flying mode. Youll find it a lot easier to fly, especially with landings :)

The sticky forwardy bits on the root of the wings is called a “dog tooth” leading edge extension and is used to induce turbulent flow over the wing to prevent stall at high AOAs
Even the f-15 has them on its elevators

i do like the fact he used the same swinging pylon system that the F-111 uses, just shows how smart of an idea it actually was.

That buggy wing turning backwards gave me an idea for the next episode. Try to make forward swept wing jet like X-29 or Su-47
You need all moving elevators if youre going to be manuvering at or above mach. Those tiny ass elevators just are not going to cut it. Remember, the air is being pounded into a massive shock cone, so theres less effective 'mass' flowing over your control surfaces. Hence you need a way bigger surfaces to maintain any authority at or above mach.
I think an all moving tail plane would help in higher mach numbers.
Look at Any super sonic jet and nearly all of them have the elevators move fully not like traditional prop elevators.
Heavily depends on the fuselage for the plane, some fuselages want a to put the elevators on top of the tail to reduce drag and such. But yes, adding it to this fuselage would help severely.

Could you install some sort of fly by wire system to make it slightly less dangerous to fly as it's great but maybe a little to responsive and unstable at times although loved the missile hardpoint system way cooler than just putting them on the fuselage although with the elevators make the entire elevator move up and down not just part of it this will improve supersonic handling.
The game does have fly by wire, but I don't know how to set it up yet.
You could add deployable glove vanes like the early F-14's had. At high speed they deployed to improve stability and *reduce the airframe nosing down.* They're basically like static canards
They also allowed insanely high turn rates above Mach 1 (about 7.5G @ m1.5 iirc?)
Most of the F-14 fleet had Glove Vanes since the majority were still A's by 2006, they were just welded shut since they didn't provide a big enough benefit to warrant the even higher maintenance hours. The B and D omitted them since the Navy welded basically every Glove Vane

Flyout seems very hard to get into, which kinda minimizes it's appeal for some, but the things you can do in it even this early on is incredible.
I’d recommend making the entire elevator move rather than just the trailing edge which is common in modern fighter jets and will improve maneuverability. Increasing the surface area on the control surfaces is always recommended for better maneuverability. This applies to the wings as well so adding leading edge slats that engage at low speed to increase low speed maneuverability by creating more lift on the wing’s leading edge by increasing the surface area. I’d recommend some research on it I’m still learning myself lol
Needs a bit longer wings, a bigger all moving elevator, and a few more degrees of sweep

There was a french plane being developped that had variable wings and was based on the mirage even before the original mirage 2k came out. Think it was the mirage g

I believe that these pre Korea War elevators you used aren't doing the work. Maybe if you use some full moving ones the result will be way better. I also believe that you can position it higher (almost at the wing level, as the Mig-23) and do not angle it, just level with the wing.
Overall, this plane is unbelievable fast as it goes way past march one almost at sea level, with the wings extended and with that huge fuel tank.
Can you set the wings to angle automatically with this game?

I think its fine as it really follows the mirage f1 style or even the mirage G. It gives originality to the aircraft unlike what we see on the 14 and 23

The joint should be more at the shoulder, ie at the forward tip of the wing where it meets the fuselage.

To fix the leading edge poking out when the wing is swept you should move the pívot point fowerd petty much as far as you can

I'm curious. ( i'd doubt anybody would read this, but) Could you try to build like a Ground strike aircraft that has air intakes that can angle up or down to maximize efficiency when executing maneuvers? the odds of an answer are against me.
(and if you do intend on making this, don't put the engines like how they are on the A-10.)
Umm, probably, yeah. You'd just have to bind the axis to the pitch keys. It likely wouldn't be perfect. One other option might be a control surface motor as a mount, which would allow perfect control, but I think they flex under load

Having your wings swiped out at high speeds isn't going to rip the wings off, unless the structure is poorly built 😆.
Even if they are built “well” going over Mach with them not swept in will cause internal stressing, and unnecessary damage to the wings as they deal with overloading. The amount of pressure generated from the shockwave is massive. Sweeping them back “delays” the shockwave and makes it more gentle on the wings. The wings might not “fall off” but it will stress the structure which can cause cracking/ or worse catastrophic failure if not spotted. There is a reason you don’t see any supersonic aircraft with fixed straight wings.
