Hi Rob, I’ve followed you for years and have benefitted from your videos enormously. Two years ago I had a stroke and am unable to use my left hand/arm, if fact the whole of my left side is affected. However I’ve just about got enough balance to try a one handed swing(right hand) I so want to hit a golf ball again! When I was a single figure handicap player (a long time ago)I used to do this as a drill very successfully with a 7 iron, it taught me to hit the ball really solidly out of the sweet spot every time - I loved it and it helped my ball striking with all my irons. I’ve had a HackMotion device for a few years, but now want to use it on my right hand/wrist to see if it will help me develop a one hand swing. Do you think you could do a video with the HackMotion on the right wrist, I’m sure it would benefit all golfers as well as me. Whatever the outcome thank you for your great tuition and guidance.
    Keep up the great work
    AJ

I'm not in the position to be able to buy one of these devices, but just from your explanation, I think that I might be able to cure my hook. I've had this problem for years and have tried all sorts to figure it out , but I have been looking at it wrong all this time . Thanks

Great content but I have one question. I currently only have the core version so only get ext/flexion data. That means that when looking at wrist movement on the graph the X-axis is adjusted to the values you get from that data. However, looking at this video the X-axis also has to share rotation data which makes the range of the X-axis much larger meaning that the extension/flexion line looks really flat. Is there a setting in the app that allows you to switch between data shown in the graph or can you only see all 3 data points at the same time?

I’ve upgraded to the new version including going from the core to plus which includes the putting. However it only records address, top & impact. Do I need to upgrade again to get the other positions eg P6?

I find a strong right side leg/hip motion through impact and follow-thru maintains the Flexion, resulting in a 'smoother/ flatter' curve in the graph. Not such a big 'deviation' from top thru impact and finish, while maintaining Flexion thru impact, (say -5 /-10) to (+5/+10) slight Extension in follow-thru.

Wow. In theory this is a solution to many a swing issues.. now i can intergrate thes controls..i often try to see the blur of the arch, feel the timing of the sequence, the positiom / angle of the shaft, my weight shift and bottom of the swing, feel, etc.. most of which happens naturally..

It pleases me to see an intelligent discussion the 'the wrists.' EVERYONE dodges this and, with the Scottie Scheffler recent star performance, we have to endure a superb player who uses his hands/wrists in no clear pattern! It looks 'armsy,' but I doubt that it is. Still, every player has to come to terms with hands, feel, acceleration, proper position on the back swing , and so on.
One little thing: to use the wrists efficiently, the grip has to be held how? Lightly? More in the fingers? Coordinating the left and right hands? Please elaborate.

You are correcting your assessment! The grip has to be extremely precise in order for the wrists to function properly. The lever system will succeed or fail based on how you grip the club. So do some homework and really learn about the grip.

Having this tool for a few months I will say for any higher handicap golfer this is likely to have a negative effect on you. The information/feedback I’ve gotten it wants my wrists at a 90 degree through impact no matter the setup. I’ve had my friend who’s actually great at golf try it and he too could never make the extension at impact even in a yellow condition. One giant mind game and unless you’ve been to perfect I doubt this will have a positive impact

Hi Gary, This definitely sounds like a real issue and a genuine support case. It's great to see you've already reached out to support; we will make sure to answer there as well.

Your friend might be good at golf but he might not actually hit the ball well. There are a lot of people with very flawed swings that can be good at golf. Also what do you consider very good at golf? What type of swing speed what is his handicap? Something to consider it I don't know if you talk to support yet or figured out if it's an actual technical issue with the device but if it is your mechanics more than likely it's probably your grip. The way you grip the club will have a huge impact on what you can do with your wrist

good instruction on use of this device. inside on carpet,no pressure a good demo.
would like to see this outside in a game/pressure situation.ball flight should tell if the wrist positions make a difference.
feel isn't real I agree ,but as I see this, this is still not real.
    just my opinion comment.
