  • "Evil" stars Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson, Mike Colter, Katja Herbers and creators Robert and Michelle King ("The Good Fight," "The Good Wife") examine the very roots of evil in their new CBS show. The Kings leave the grounded world of political drama for the supernatural mystery: "I would say this show is the continuation of a conversation Robert and I have been having for 30 years," says Michelle King. "We both think evil exists in the world, but we don't see it coming from the same place." The cast and creators previewed "Evil" (premiering Sept. 26 on CBS) at the Los Angeles Times Photo and Video Studio at San Diego Comic-Con.

Kaja and Michael’s character’s dynamic reminds of Mulder and Scully’s dynamic. They are different but it’s there. :)

A good drama draws us in, makes us want to understand and protect the characters ourselves because they are relate-able. Evil qualifies for this kind of dynamic we seek from drama. The play between good evil is a powerful struggle to root for. Most of the Universe is unseen or not accessible with our ordinary senses. We have much to learn about the battle which rages on both in the world we experience and the world we have yet to grasp consciously.
