@@touyube8146 No. I'm fairly certain thats not how it works. Death by collision and death by covid are entirely different. This point is not only entirely irrelevant, because if you have covid symptoms, why the fuck are you in a car. In fairness the Tories devised the furlough scheme which is the most generous in the world. Paying people 80% of their wages for 8 months off work. I know plenty of furloughed people who’ve taken on part time jobs during their furloughed time and have made a fortune as they’ve made it on top of their free furloughed cash. I don’t cry for them too much now they actually have to get off their arse and find other full time employment like everyone else
10 years? No, since the 1980s friend. Thatcher started it. I agree with the rest of your comment though. Intergenerational poverty is tough and the people at the bottom always get shit on the most.
Thatcher liberated a generation from the vice of greed by telling them it was a virtue called ambition. This has become the new moral bedrock to the majority in England on which future generations are indoctrinated. It'll take significant hardship to bring back long lasting compassion and empathy to the masses. Sure, a managed proportion will get a taste of hardship off the back of this government's failings, but it won't be enough to change them, they'll still turn out for their Tory masters in 4 years time.
@@177itchell It's sad but true. Unfortunately the great chasm dividing the rich - _who have the power to make decisions for everyone_ - and the poor - _who have no power except to vote_ - is getting to the point where it is almost insurmountable (despite the desperate masses clinging to *The American Dream* ™) and the rich love the Tories because of all the perks they give them. So the rich spend a _considerable_ amount of time and money convincing the poor that the Tories are alright and the best people for the job. There would be no such thing as unemployment if this was an intelligent world that made it financially worthwhile to share the jobs we need people to do and work LESS....no more working and doing anything FOR money but everyone sharing in doing the work we NEED to have done.
To do that, you need to remove money/exchange from the economic system. Create a natural resource based economy, with knowledge sharing for no return, moneyless society. But that would eliminate wars, poverty and powerful groups and people. So it won't happen for now. Money today are just a tool to control population and negotiate with the competitors.

The government's definition of a "viable business" is one that can still tick over while keeping on at least one third of its staff. So, let me get this straight. If I own a trendy cereal cafe in rural Yorkshire that does fuck all business, but my rainy day fund is flush enough that I can continue paying one third of my staff to turn up and do fuck all; then my business is "viable" and the government will help me. On the other hand, if I own a popular theatre in a town centre that used to get rave reviews and pull in loads of dosh, but I can't put on any plays at all at the moment because of social distancing regulations, so I can't afford to pay one third of my staff; then my business is "unviable" and the government will let me go bankrupt. Never mind that the former example is an unviable business and the latter example is a viable business by anybody else's definition! This is Toryconomics, where we always give money to people who have loads and we never give money to people who have none!

@@frysebox1 If it isn't covid 19 that is killing the additional thousands of people than seasonal normal for months, what is it? It has to be something.
The problem isn't that, for the majority, is that it is no more deadly than the seasonal flu, the problem is that it is vastly more tcontagious. The after effects are far worse than the flu for healthy people and there is no gurantee that, like the flu, you can get ot over and over.

More like for the last 30 years
Instilling a fear of socialism/communism is their current weapon of choice.

Except that Chernobyl only ran for 5 episodes!
