    A big thing about Doc and Deestroying is that they’re both entertainers. The both of them did little to nothing in college. You can post a ton of workout videos on TH-cam with an inspiring message, but it’s clear neither of them really have what it takes and that’s okay! It’s incredibly difficult to make it to the league, you have to be incredibly talented and not being at that level isn’t something to be ashamed of. They both found a niche that worked for them and they’ve found success from it.

    Just watching his tape, the thing that jumps out is that he’s slow. He’s got decent short area quickness, but he’s got no acceleration. He looks like he’s a high 4.6 to 4.7 guy.
    If you’re a big bodied WR who can be a possession receiver and a red zone mismatch, you might get a shot with that speed. An undersized guy who’s slow, only if he’d had a really productive college career. At 28, he’s gonna have to try an alternative league and go off if he hopes to get a FA tryout in the NFL.

  • @Kleshayjay
    @Kleshayjay 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Everyone saying he’s trash I can see why you say that but it isn’t warranted. The coach that gave him his chance got fired and because of that he didn’t play much. You can make the argument that he didn’t play because he wasn’t good and that’s understandable. But some coaches like “there guys” and when a new coach comes in and brings players he likes into the program and system, players that were there previously from the last coach can be overlooked and left out. If he actually got a chance to play a substantial amount of time and the stats weren’t up to par then I can understand. All he needs is one opportunity to make a break the debate. Having a bad pro day doesn’t help either that’s on him. Btw I’ve never even watch this guys channel or even knew who he was but this video was in my recommended and I thought it looked interesting.

    @brendan9868 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Sorry to hate on him here, but the answer as to why is simple.
    1. His ceiling was a d2 receiver, maybe depth receiver in d1. During his stay at a bottom feeder Oregon State he caught 9 passes in 3 years.
    2. Physically he’s far below the NFL standards for the position. He’s only 5’10, but ran a 4.69 40 at his pro day, which frankly is way too slow for someone at his size in the modern nfl. On top of that he’s also injury prone and over 30 now.
    So no it shouldn’t be surprising that he’s never made an nfl team, guy barely had a roster spot on a weak college team and wasn’t even invited to the combine.
    I can already hear someone trying to bring up his Instagram catches and using those OBJ, Juju and Seahawks connections in a argument for him, but all of that means nothing tbh because all of those connections were due to his social media presence not his performance on the field. His trickshot catches ≠ nfl talent, there’s more to football than making spinning 1 handed catches with some friends.
    I’m glad he still found a way to make money off the sport, but he was never a nfl caliber player and it’s just silly to twist his story to make it seem he was just because he makes some pretty social media catches and has a large following.

    People don’t make it to the NFL bc they’re uber athletic and can do acrobatic shit like catch a ball one handed whilst doing a backflip. Sure that shit looks cool and wild for a VIDEO, but everyone in the NFL is just as athletic (if not more) they’re just as big, fast, strong, hungry, and smarter than you are (if not more) bc experience is a big thing, something Dockery doesn’t really have. People make it to the NFL bc they perfected the little things like (for example as a WR) they perfected route running and footwork, keeping both feet in bounds, how to get open using their hands, how to read a DB etc. This shit goes on forever and you’ll never be a master of all, but that’s the point…put in the work and learn, which is what ultimately separates good NFL players to Hall of Famers (work ethic) natural athletic ability is just something they all have, but that shouldn’t be your only one defining factor as a player.

      Honestly, about this comment, I definitely gotta say something. He was very very very good when it came to high school, but as soon as he went to university, that’s when things went downhill. He may have the craziest and coolest catches, but in reality, he really didn’t do that much on and off the field. I respect him for his grind, but for real for real, I hope he makes it too the nfl

      He did blow up on social media and that’s it literally. He got respect from thousands of football fans, but it seems they were blindsided

      Same time tho I wish all luck for dockery, but this comment is right, he didn’t rlly do much on/ old the field. His highlights are very little too.

      Not now, but if he smart with his money and continued success on social media, he'll never have ti work at Amazon or home depot for rest of his life. Not a bad deal.
