      @jimmyvega3735 probably like 100$ like what is says in the video + this cost like around 5600php maybe because 1 usd = 56 php something like that now X = Times it to 100 so it will be 100x56=5600 well actually very expensive tbh.

    You know what I like most about Ali compared to other travel vloggers who have been to the Philippines? Ali is different because he truly made the Filipino people the true stars of his show! How many times have we heard other travel vloggers praise Filipino hospitality and resourcefulness and sense of fun. But Ali really focused the limelight on it by experiencing it himself...he really immersed himself with the people!
    It is not just our beaches and rice terraces and other landmarks, it is really our people who place value and meaning to the places. The Filipino people are the tourist spots in themselves.
    Maybe because Ali himself is a blend of East and West (Iraqi-British), so he really connected with us Filipinos because we are a blend of East and West as well. Like us, he can speak English but he has that Asian sense of respect and camaraderie. Marunong siya makisama.
    More power to you, Ali. Thank you so much for allowing our people to shine. You are always welcome to come back so we can watch more of tour videos.

    One of your top fanboy here @GoWithAli. I see that you've visited the famous criminal seafood vendor's so-called "Dampa". I named them like that because those shop owners are the worst of the worst. Whether you are a tourist or a fellow filipino who just got back from working abroad, they will literally suck every penny you got for their self-declared "fresh seafood". Don't ever come back to that place for your pocket's safety because that's how much I admire you. You help people, you treat everyone with respect and some Filipinos don't deserve you like these ones. It always breaks my heart and angers me when I watch or hear news about good tourists like you being scammed by my kind. Always take care and keep the vibes, Ali.

    One thing I love about you in your channel is that you always reply to your viewers whenever they comment. Hoping to see you soon actively doing a vlog. Try going to Aklan - More seafood mukbang especially the Oysters and in Bacolod City - Chicken capital.
    Those prices were reasonable. Seafood here in Manila is expensive especially the fresh ones. It's hard to get those at sea in an urban city. I lived here in Manila for 10 years but was born and raised in Wester Visayas and I could really say that the seafood here in Manila is expensive. They are freshly shipped from other provices as well. With the gas price sky rocketing as well as oil, the 1200 cooking fee is actually pretty decent. That elephants shell is reasonably expensive too. They beed to dive deeper for that. But honestly I wished you bought Aklan oysters instead. But the great thing is you had the best experience so far. ❤

Not all Filipino's are trusted, sometimes they are overpricing it because you dont know the real value of it. Just a friendly reminder because i dont like people getting scammed. Anyway thank you for being kind to all of my fellow Filipinos i didn't expect you to be that kind. Imagine inviting people to eat when u just bought it from them. My huge thanks to you. Keep it up:)

    Pretty expensive! You should go to Batangas near the sea or in Albay if I am not mistaken. Here in our area, large fresh oysters can be bought for 120-150 per kilo. And for crabs it is 300-500 per kilo. Mantis Shrimp in our area the big ones are 1500 or less depending how big they are

    • @Bryle_
      @Bryle_ ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, because rural and urban.
      Batangas is rural part, a countryside where people were mostly local and urban a cityside where there are variations of people, middle class, upper class. Usually, dampa customers were artists, businessmen, and high profile people which is why it is expensive there.
      I remember dining there with a celebrity which I'm not familiar with.
      Also the gas prices for fisher men were high so everything now is expensive but still negotiable.

    • @RielleApego
      @RielleApego ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Bryle_ I agree. And I must admit prices are cheap here because we mostly buy from fishermen or from middlemen not at the market.
      It is still cheap at the market but cheaper from people we know and yes people here knows everyone even the problems of the neighbors so they can't really overprice 😅
      fair enough. Probably they are selling what they have bought from Albay, Cavite or Batangas, that is why it is expensive and the rent is also very high in Manila.
      In the province I live at a bungalow house and it is very nice, bigger than a standard condo in Manila. With office/living room, kitchen, hallway, own bathroom and a terrace for my ducks, and it is only 5000 per month. This kind of house might be around 20000-50000 in Manila. I can only imagine the amount that they're paying for their stores in the market. Now that I think about it, you are right.
