On Saturday I finished undefeated in Swiss and Top 4 at the OTS Championships! Sadly, I had another OTS Championship on Sunday that I lost out the final round of Swiss to just miss out Top Cut. The potential for this deck is still there!

Would you consider playing Bucephalus and maximus at one point? One card gimmick lock can be pretty strong and having nadir will still allow you to set up a strong end board along wtih puppet
Ahh I have but let’s just say I wish the extra deck was 20 cards just for branded players LOL. I also believe Nadir + Maximus line is going to see play when Fire Kings come out (apparently at least), so I figured there’s no point benefiting my opponents since the deck comes out in a few weeks

It was 5 rounds of Swiss and top cut. There were couple Purrely and Dragon Link in there for the most part haha

without maximus, how does the nadir combo work?
Kinda depends on the situation. The most basic example is sending Lulu and add Albaz, and summon Cartesia in EP so you have access to Mirrorjade or Sanctifire on your opponent’s turn. Sometimes you may be sending Albion instead to set Branded in red, depending on your GY set up. Most times I’m trying to send whatever that can lead me to a gimmick lock if possible lol

Congrats on the top! Always love seeing deck profiles of successful Branded Despia decks. If anything, rogue status can be advantageous for this archetype. If fewer people feel obligated to side for it, there's less blowout cards it has to go up against post-board. But it still is a shame that its glaring problems were never truly fixed with its support. Maybe one day.
