    What is the difference between the QLX-D and ULX-D?

    • @shure
      @shure  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      QLX-D and ULX-D share the same audio performance specifications and essentially have the same wireless performance. ULX-D has some more advanced features, however, and also is available with multiple-channel receivers.
      Here is a tech bulletin from the Shure website that outlines the differences in detail: www.shure.com/americas/support/find-an-answer/qlx-d-key-features

      ULX has Dante, Dual & Quad Receivers
      QLX doesn't have those features

    Does this system work with the Shure ULXD8 Digital Wireless Gooseneck Base Transmitter ?

    • @shure
      @shure  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A QLXD4 receiver will work with a ULXD8 transmitter if both devices have the same operating frequency band. Group and Channel settings within the frequency band are the same for ULX-D and QLX-D.
      The Group and Channel number for each device have to be set manually, as the InfraRed sync will not work. Also, the encryption feature is not available with this type of "hybrid" system.

    I heard you explain how the QLX-D can networked scan for clear frequencies, can it also networked sync to transmitters?

    • @shure

      Each transmitter needs to be sync’d individually to the appropriate receiver, via the IR Sync function.

    And if I have 2 QLXD at an event, do I have to network them to use both of them?

    • @shure
      @shure  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It isn’t necessary to network multiple QLXD receivers to use them simultaneously. Just make sure they are set to the same Group and different Channel numbers to ensure compatibility between the two frequencies.

      Ah, makes sense. Thank you! I appreciate the quick response. I'm about to use my QLXD for the first time tonight for a wedding

    Will the counterfeit QLXD receiver pair with the real QLXD transmitter or vice versa if I buy them separately, anyone would know?
    Thanks,

      Why would you want to buy counterfeits?

      @TinoSchulz1990 no, I don't. Just wanted to make the one I will buy on ebay could pair with my oem receiver.

    How do you network 2 QLXD receivers? Just connect both of them with an Ethernet cable?

    • @shure
      @shure  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s possible to connect the two QLXD4 receivers with only an Ethernet cable, which would allow you to do a “network scan” and set up both receivers with a few button presses. To connect the two receivers to a computer running Wireless Workbench, you would need a network switch or router, however.

    Hi, can anyone tell me how to disassemble one of these? My battery compartment is broken and the part is only $7 but I can’t seem to disassemble it in the way that most shure mics are disassembled.
