Thank you, you explain it so well, if you just allow me to give my understanding of the spiritual selves in forms,
I see Gyanesa or Vinayakar, or Ganapathy or Pillaiyar - the names we adorn are the Conscience and of the Cosmic light - the Vision & foresight
Pranav, Aum, Om the sound of life and the breath is Skanda, Velan, Muruga, Kumara and such other names we adorn in the sustenance of life
Ayyan Ayyapa and Sastha is the embodiment of both Shiva (immobile) and the Shakthi ( mobile) in the nature of creation. The one who culminates in bringing new forms to life
The Shivam remains in absolute silence and peaceful in tranquility., in true consccience
While the same in the act of living and life cycle, the Vaishnam takes care.
Some philosophy believe that Coming together of the above two is the Sastha,
Ayyappan., probably you come to know the purpose of your life
I'm so convinced with these impressions that I never want to go for a conversion.
" Light travels faster than Sound " the principle doesn't change

Shree Ayyappa is the 9th Vishnu avatar. The British govt and their agent BR Ambedkar told false stories and falsely established the Buddha as the 9th avatar.
Ayyappa is NOT a son of Shiva... your information is wrong. Shiva and Parvati are cosmic allegories...as well their sons Ganesha and Murugan (Kartik). Whereas Ayyappa was a mortal human being... just like Rama and Krishna. All the 3 Vishnu avatars ( Rama, Krishna, Ayyappa) had a purpose of guiding humanity and then all died like other humans do. But Shiva Parvati Ganesha Murugan are cosmic allegories and hence they cannot die.
