I was in the hospital emergency room waiting, playing duel links and 2 randoms seen my tablet who also played. I still talk to them to this day lol. Brought together by YGO.
Also, if you care about lore, the world of Duel Monsters is based specifically on the manga, not the anime, so Pegasus is dead, DOMA doesn't exist, etc. This is exemplified in the Paradox unlock event, which was basically a recreation of Bonds Beyond Time. Jaden and Yusei remember how the movie went and talk to Yugi like they're old friends, but Yugi has no idea who they are since BBT doesn't happen in the manga continuity. The other worlds are anime-based and are semi-sequels, but it varies depending on the world. GX skipped Season 1 altogether. Seasons 2 and 3 had the bad guys confirm they returned from the other characters' memories, and there's even a confrontation between Season 4!Jaden and Supreme King. The other Season 4 characters have not appeared yet. 5D's technically happens after Arc Cradle, but the game doesn't play with things as much as other worlds. Three of the Dark Signers come back, and the game skips from Goodwin straight past the WRGP to fight Iliaster. The game recently did a Duelist Chronicles (where they retell the events of the anime) showcasing the final battle against Z-One, so story-wise, that world is done. Zexal is kind of a hybrid. The beginning of the story has Yuma lose all the Numbers again, but that plot point is kind of ignored almost immediately. The events to unlock the triplets explicitly gives them their personalities after Vetrix is defeated, with Quinton's event being him training the Zexal cast (including Bronk and Tori) to fight the Barians. However, the second half of the show acts like the Barians have never invaded before, with all of the Unlock events more or less being the same story as their anime arcs. We'll actually get Dumon at the end of July. ARC-V is set explicitly after the anime. Yuya and Yuzu come into Duel Links and find that their component selves (Yuto, Yugo, Yuri, Celina, Rin, and Lulu) are actually alive again, though only as memory data, as their spirits are still inside the former two. Declan is attempting to recruit new Duelists and strategies for if (and when) Z-ARC returns, as well. Note that Yuri, Rin, and Lulu are not in the game yet, but we'll likely get at least one of them before the year ends. VRAINS is also set post-anime, and you actually start as Soulburner, who's after Playmaker. He eventually finds him and discovers that, thanks to Duel Links, Ai is reborn. While they haven't appeared as of yet, it's heavily implied the other five Ignis have also been revived and are running around Duel Links somewhere. Varis' event confirms that he's still trying to stamp out the Ignis, while Ghost Gal's event heavily implies that there will be a story event where the VRAINS cast travel to the other anime worlds. Sevens is just doing a full recreation of the anime. There's some minor changes (Luke's Pauli effect would disable DL entirely, so it's quickly written out), but for the most part it's the same. Currently, the special event running allows you to unlock Asana, with Tiger being implied to be the next Sevens character to be unlocked.
Excellent recap! The fun part of Duel Links is being able to re-experience these stories and even see brand new ones like Pokemon Masters EX is doing. It's just great to get answers that would otherwise probably have been too expensive to make a new anime series on, and with the creator of Yugioh having passed away recently, It's unclear what will happen for the creative direction of the series, just like Dragon ball is on indefinite hiatus due to Toriyama's death.
12:23 I see the video was written before May because Ancient Fairy Dragon was ignored just before May 2024. They released all the Agent support with a new skill that made Ancient Fairy Dragon abuse horrible with the field spell Summon Breaker. They also released Sherry's support with a new skill (de Fleur) that also broke it. It was limited to 1 as a result.
Yeah and similarly Nurse burn will be banned/is already banned as well. They banned Bad reaction to Somochi (I didn't know it was in the game) and are going to ban Nurse Reficule making it nearly impossible to do nurse burn simply cause "It allowed FTKs" so they are really tightening the noose on strategies that prevent the opponent from having a chance to play the game, which is good. I think it's healthier than what the TCG has become (waiting 30 minutes sitting through a crazy combo that ends the game if you don't draw ash or Nibiriu or effect Veilor and lose the coin toss). It means you just see a larger variety of strats in the higher ranks and can have some really interesting games.
To any new player here: If you play with a deck that you love, but is uncompetitice, do NOT be discouraged from using the deck you love. It is very easy to get influenced by the meta and it is competitiveness, and there is nothing wrong with being meta. However, should you play meta decks for the sake of winning and ONLY winning, then you are not truly enjoying the duels you compete in. After all, Yu-Gi-Oh is a game, and games are meant to be enjoyable and fun, not to be taken too seriously.
Big fact. I play Timelords and get stomped, but darnit, I love high-leveled guys which can appear, destroy the field or burn, then leave without explaining anything.
Amen! Duel links is slow enough and versatile enough that you can make theoretically ANY deck work if you really love the cards enough. since generic traps and spell cards are still very useful threats, a well times Mirror/drowning mirror force can end even the strongest threats. Also Duel lInks is VERY stingy about spell/trap NEGATES, so if an opponent overcommits and throws down their strongest cards, don't be afraid to drop a Dark hole before setting up your own board, the game rewards patience.
Because of that i'm always trying to stay in gold or platinum, because i can play whatever random shit of deck and have fun haha (im watching you resonators with old skill)
The only thing I'll say to this is: be aware of your tolerance for frustration when intentionally going off-meta. While there are occasionally hidden gems, expect non-meta decks to run into situations they can't deal with every so often. I have a fondness for Nekroz, and I've been playing since long before the Fleur engine empowered them. They're KoG-worthy, but fact is that sometimes you'll just super brick, or you get a Crow dropped on your Cycle summon, or they're on Mayakashi, which bypasses your entire deck's entire strategy... or Sky Scourge Invicil becomes meta and makes you auto-lose every time Agents go first.😑 But that's something to which you either adapt, or which you simply must accept if you can't adapt.
I love Duel Links because of the character unlock events and the stories of the characters that arrive. I’m looking forward to Dumon’s unlock event in July.
Yeah I like how it actually continues the stories of the anime. VRAINS and ARC-V are literally being continued so we get to see the Yu boys actually meet each other and what cool story is unfolding and they literally said Duel LInks is "Part of Vrains" as well as Playmaker finally having found AI as what happened in the cliffhanger ending. While some stories are effectively retelling the story like Sevens and Zexal (with acknolwedgement that this is Duel Links, but everyone generally acting like they did in the anime), Sevens isn't really available without a subscription world wide so this really is the only way for most of us to experience the new characters and Zexal is mostly retelling the Barian arc story. I can't wait to see Yuri added to the game. Even in the game, characters like Celine and Dennis have both expressed worry of what will happen when Yuri shows up. It was left completely ambiguous if he redeemed himself or not when he fused with Yuya. It was also heartwarming to see Sora and Dennis able to apologize to Yuto and Shay and hearing them forgive based on how they saw Sora turn around and ultimately help the heroes and Dennis's story literally is him apologizing to everyone for his actions and trying to make amends since he only managed to do so to Yuya in the anime. It's so exciting!
@@MarioMastar Yeah I agree and I’m looking forward to Yuri’s arrival to the game. I’m sure Yuri will have changed and will be somewhat remorseful for his actions just like Dennis was. Hopefully his story in Duel Links isn’t too boring
@@rainbowdragon168listen here lil bud❌️💀🔥‼️‼️i will put you on my 𓀐 𓂸 list if you yap allat 1 more time‼️🔥💀🙏 i betta not catch u lacking in these comments ever
This, masked heros and the hanzo deck are all I know, and I don't remember how I built all 3 to what felt like top tier decks all at once. Dragunity always been my OG tho.
While farming staples, you're going to pull A LOT of other cards. They might not be on your radar (say Magikey as it's in Deep Emotion and it's also where you get Effect Veiler), but because the game runs a SIGNIFICANTLY smaller deck, you can slot in a REALLY small Magikey engine into pretty much anything (2 effect tuner, 2 of the nornals, 2 of the main spell, opt. 1 recursion trap, 4 in the extra). Because the tuner and normal are also light and dark, you could slot in one copy of BLS-EoB and have a nasty board for most of the lower content, including PvP.
There's one important thing left out about Duel Worlds. You need to get to level 26 of Duel Monsters world to get the maximum amount of Duelists (10). So DM should be a high priority.
A tip to mention is that by default, the game doesn’t let you choose the zone you put your card into. You have to go into settings and change that yourself. Or maybe they changed the default since I changed it.
Still is that way, yes. And likewise, there is another setting to control Chain order of mandatory effect activations. This won't come up much for most decks, but in some cases, it can be critical. You really want to play Sky Striker with this setting on Manual, for instance.
usually almost anything is viable in duel links which makes it a very skill requiring game that requires you to know obscure archetypes. while i dont like formats were only few decks are viable, formats like the one we have rn is great for beginners to get used to the game. rn the best decks are zombie pile, blue eyes and agents. agents are getting hit when the banlist takes effect and mekk knights are getting boost which might make them take agents' place. just focus on countering those
Before Battle Chronicle and Blue-eyes Dimension... Ally of Justice quarantine was such a good counter for Blue eyes... Summon one of them, have some back row to protect it, and you basically already won..... Then they gained the power to normal summon their 3K beatsticks.
I always love re-downloading every couple of months to build a new gimmick deck to see how badly I can mess with the current pvp meta decks. Xyz are neutered by psy-frame phase banish effects. Anti-zombie, zombie mill decks made matches so volatile. Vampires, a couple of ghostricks, and 3 light of destructions. Get a board set up and you can mill a couple of their cards to the graveyard. They start their turn and suddenly their one card mill becomes 10. Its like a reverse max c. They can get a ton of advantage but they'll need to finish the duel that turn or deck out. Thunder armed dragons + ojamas + duel tags = cheat turbo out vwxyz fuse with armed dragon lvl 7 and you can usually get Thunder Armed vwxyz catapult in 1-3 turns My personal favorite, Love Lock Down. Cupid serve + negate fairies + solemn cards/counter traps + get Angel 07 tribute summoned. Angel 07's effect is just old enough to have a weird exploitable effect. Effect cards can activate from the hand, deck, or grave yard but can't activate as soon as they hit the field. No one knows how their favorite deck will react, and it feels like the game doesn't even know how to resolve half of monsters. Yubel let's them run through all their combos but don't realize their boss monsters become a 0 attack non-effect monster. Shining blue eyes can be tagged in normally only to find out it can't pop anything or tag out. It forces a deck to throw all resources into destroying Angel, and a lot of modern decks don't have a lot of ways to do so beyond monster effects. And no one really understands how their deck plays until they play against Angel. It legimately feels like some deck a original yugioh anime bad guy would play for yugi to overcome through making up rules
It's really easy to get back into it since most new events happen once a month and the rest are generally repeats with generous prize drops. It's really nice to just pick up and play and maybe check if your favorite cards/deck got an upgrade. and Rush duel is pretty fun too! It's slowly getting better as they add more cards.
I remember playing Duel Links back when it first launched. There wasn't really a way to build anything better than a slightly modified starter deck without spending a ton of gems and levelling up the separate characters felt just really grindy. The older-style beatdown Yugioh was kinda fun for a little while, but then I ran into this guy who had some crazy skill that let him start with all three Gate Guardian pieces on board that I had no way to out. Then I went back to Edopro and paper Yugioh where I could at least build halfway decent decks without relying on gacha.
One of Para and Dox's default skills is to start with Gate Guardian in their hand and the three components on the field. However, the skill is weak as they only start with GG as their hand and their LP dips to 500.
I remember trying to play duellinks after masterduel came out since I was curious about it. I heard the game had a limited card pool and a significantly weaker format so I crafted a UR Shiny Black C since I assumed 2k pass would have been good and got OTKed.
it is significant weaker, but not normal summon a vanilla and pass weak. duel links was already 5 years old by the time master duel came out, the meta had evolved passed 2k beatsticks.
I feel very nostalgic while watching this. Remembering the old meta and past times on DL. It's cool, not gonna lie, I learned how to play the actual game through DL, but the most difficult thing that become worse over time is building a new deck. My advised to new playes is invest your gems on staples and keep saving until a sale is available, cuz you gonna spend A LOT of gems.
the yellow exclamations are really important early on when you don't have any cards because they give you gate keys which you need in order to complete stage missions and is something those of us who don't use the gate very much take for granted
Honestly this video seems more suited for how the game was 3 - 4 years ago, nowadays the game became so focused on the use of clearly unbalanced skills that are borderline cheating that the game became a "who gets the skill that lets them cheat the hardest until it gets nerfed?".
Note that "popular" cards aren't necessarily always "good" cards, or otherwise not as good as you might be led to believe. Blue-Eyes is strong right now, no doubt, but its performance really isn't so dominant as to be the most popular deck in Duel Links by its merit alone. If you're uncertain about regular Ticket uses (NOT the Dream Tickets!!!), maybe grab some generically summonable Synchro, Xyz or Link monsters to fill up your Extra Deck, if you haven't got any better. Who knows, it might just come up sometime.
Aw man it’s takes me back I was so lucky to get into duel links around when vendread was added I was able to make a deck sure it was simi decent deck that was able to plus for a game back then one my fondest memories of it was banishing Odin when Nordic were added
I finally just got back into duel links after a couple of years it only took me the first couple hours had about 6,000 gems and went and pulled Luna light cards from the deck builder box a very straightforward and easy to understand deck that incorporates fusion and pendulum summoning as well as chaining together monster effects not very hard to pick up and is a really powerful deck in the mid to high tier in ranked.
Bro I lost my account after having obtained all variants of the machine angel ritual deck and reaching king of games. It made me quit for years but I think I’ll download it back now.
oh yeah duel links meta is also really good if you're looking to get some free mat and sleeve customizations that you might not know about like summoning the ace monsters a certain number of times or getting game winning attacks with certain ones of them
Love to see a Master Duel video. So, I was into Duel Links for a while, but I switched over to Master Duel because it's not as expensive to build decks. But that's just my take on it. I still hate snake eyes and 30 minutes of "I summon this, then this, then this, okay, I'm done." With just the two creatures that will negate your stuff, I'm going to summon this and this, normal set up with my own stuff on top of that. 😂 😂 I swear they need to have a two-minute timer.
Number one tip to remember during the world tournaments they generally give you around 7k-9k gems for new players plus 1 free booster of your choice and 10 ur picks, so bronze is filled with smurfs testing out new playstyles.
Maybe a Top 10 best level up card rewards in Duel Links? Like Playmaker having Linkuriboh, Yuya having Skullcrobat Joker, Girag having Fire and Ice Hands, Z-One having Timelords, DSOD Bakura having Summoner's Art and so on. Or maybe even a WORST level up rewards list, nearly all of 5D's cast has a terrible level up reward pool.
Really depends on what deck you want to build and who your favorite character is. Level grinding is either something you passively do or you pick a favorite cause since you can only get 500 xp regardless of battle you do per battle (multipliers can save time though) you really want to zero in on what you want. Vagrants just aren't worth it since you have to spend real money on them.
I just stared playing two weeks ago video helped. I grinded out and use some character unlocks but I got a pretty viable I think cyber dragon deck with the xz cyber and all fusions
Wow just what I was looking for I’m returning back to Yu-Gi-Oh played it when the very first came out back in Pegasus, Merrick and Yama Yui days what are some more tips that you would give to a new player coming back to the game? What packs would you buy with gems?
So honest Question: This Video actually got me a little bit interested in playing Duel Links, but as I also don't really know if I'd enjoy myself too much with the PvP Side of things, would the Game still be worth checking out if I go into it already expecting to play primarily against AI Opponents? I dunno, it's just, I like playing Yugioh Games for having the freedom of choice when it comes to Decks, which PvP usually doesn't gel with, since obviously, Meta Decks exist.
Battle Chronical letting you normal summon them is a bit broken....Very few decks can handle a 3k beat stick that can be summoned for free if they draw a bad opening hand, and that's just the start of the various comboes BE can do anyway. I wish they made it so they can't attack if summoned this way, but then Yugo has some BS as well with that Hane...whatever it's called synchro card that's a free Raigeki on a 3K beat stick. Totally fair....
both darklord nurse and bad reaction to simochi are banned at this point in duel links fyi for newer people looking at this video bc they had an extremely high win rate after nurse first got added to the game
One thing I'd like to say that I keep hearing about and REALLY want to debunk is the idea that Duel links is "pay to win" or "gacha" as in "expensive IRL cost wise". I've been playing this game since 2018 and I've probably spent like...$100 TOTAL since I started playing, and half the money was on Duel Pass so I could hear my favorite music during duels. NOTHING in the game is locked behind a pay wall and there's NO penalty at ALL for losing, even in PvP (maybe you'll take longer to get to a higher rank, but once you go up a tier, you can't go back down until the brackets reset and even then, your rewards is based on how many times you win and what tier you make it, with the number of wins yielding stronger rewards in general). So don't be afraid to just get out there and duel. literally the more you duel, the more cards you can get. Money is really only used to get certain cards faster, but within a month of playing PvP, it's not hard to get like 5000 gems which is enough to completely empty out some Main boxes. Ironically and hypocritically, the people who complain about duel links being "pay to win/gacha" tend to be the ones who enjoy the TCG....literally the TCG revolves around people making money off of buying and reselling meta/rare cards. There's a database on how expensive these cards can get.... Duel links is almost completely free2play and spending only gets you to your personal goal faster, and is totally unnecessary. Easily the friendliest way to play Yugioh.
You seem to have a good grasp on the Game, so let me just ask directly: As someone who's an absolute weenie when it comes to playing against other people, do you think I would enjoy the Game? The Video did get me genuinely interested, but since most of my experience comes from pick-up-and-play some of the older Games and some Playground Duels like two Decades ago, I have some concerns that it's not exactly going to gel well with how I tend to just run whatever Deck seems fun and / or interesting to me (be it either just an Archetype's overall aesthetic or their actual Playstyle) in those older Games. Basically, my main concern is that unless I do what DuelLogs suggests in his #1 Tip, I won't actually get *anywhere* in the Game, but I find that simply not as fun as simply playing favourites, and now I'm kinda lost on if I'd even get much enjoyment out of it as a result.
Duel links teach me how to actually play yugioh, when i was a kid i never learned how to play the game in any way. i will always appreciate this game because it has taught me so much and i finally got to play my favorite deck of all time wich is ancient gears, 2000 plus hours on this game was worth it obviously its not all good because you can lose to bullshit skills and other stuff LMAO don't forget to take a break from this game!
You'd be wise to pick Return of Red-Eyes structure deck at the very beginning of your adventure. Normal SR Tickets will grant you cards like Red-Eyes Insight and Spirit, and Dream Tickets can help you get 1 more copy of Red-Eyes Fusion. Usually you don't need more than 1 Slash Dragon, but there might be times your boss monster gets banished and you have no way to get it back. You can also choose to get Red-Eyes Fang with Chain. a VERY powerful card that works well with Slash Dragon. Red-Eyes Gearfried isn't super necessary nowadays, since you can use ANY Warrior to Fusion Summon Slash Dragon. Amazoness Swordswoman is usually the target that you'll be sending, but if you also purchased the FIRE Warrior structure deck, you have a plethora of options right there as well.
Not recommended to use 3x for legendary duelist. You may have at least aim for 4k assessment easily with a good farming deck. With 2x it would max out the gains.
Where do I get Masked Knight LV5? You can buy the other 2 Levels very easily, but I haven’t seen LV5 in any of the ticket options, trade shops, etc. The websites aren’t very clear either about how to get it (events I guess)
Blue-Eyes rightly deserves its own section as it's the most coddled deck in the game's history. I blame the yugiboomers not wanting to play anything else, and Konami constantly having to add broken Skills to keep the deck relevant and appease the Kaiba cosplayers.
12:15 no, you miss the mark on why is never run, the skill by pass this card effect, if this card could also lock down the skill add a card out nowhere or from the graveyeard or deck trust me it would who be meta
Just curious if "Link" summon higher tier monsters like Link 3, 4 or 5, always requires another Link monster? It seems like when I wanted to summon Link 3 or more, it always selects my Link 2 or below, even though I had enough monsters to satisfy the summon requirement. Anyone face this problem?
So, Duel Links has Skills, right? I was thinking importing a similar system into the OCG/TCG would help the game considerably… I call them *_“Boons”:_* ⚪️Boons would be a suite of extra rules/effects both players can opt into before the start of each duel, 1-3 for each player, or up to 6 if both players agree to play by the same boons. ⚪️Boons would be mostly defensive or utility oriented, and would be designed to add an additional layer of strategy to deck building and matches. ⚪️Almost NO boons would be able to directly interact with your opponent, but rather they would be focused on buffing their user. ⚪️And Boons would generally have effects that would be considered on the “weaker” if they were cards themselves, but since they’re NOT… ⚪️Also, Boons cannot be negated, responded to or ignored unless otherwise stated, and could be applied under a suite of circumstances (Before the duel, once or more a turn or duel, on command, whenever certain criteria are met, etc…) ⚪️So to name a some potential Boons: _⚫️Boon of Abundance: Before the first turn, If your starting deck contained 55 or more cards; Once per duel, you can shuffle your entire hand back into your deck, then draw an equal number of cards._ _⚫️Boon of Resilience: You start the duel with 2000 more LP. Once per duel, you can halve any single instance of battle and effect damage each that you would take._ _⚫️Boon of Regeneration: During the end phase of each player’s turn, you can gain 1000 LP. Once per turn, (quick-effect), you can negate and tribute 1 monster from your hand or field: Gain LP equal to that tribute’s total ATK/DEF._ _⚫️Boon of Normality: You can normal summon/set Normal or Gemini monsters with 1 less tribute. During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon/Set 1 Normal or Gemini monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set._ _⚫️Boon of The Heart: Once per Duel, during either player’s turn, if you control 2 or less cards on the field AND have 2 or less cards in your hand: You can shuffle your deck, then declare 1 card type (Monster/Spell/Trap): Excavate the top card from your deck, and if it’s the declared card type, add it to your hand, otherwise shuffle it into your deck._ _⚫️Boon of Resourcefulness: Once per duel, if you would deck out, and your opponent had first moved any number of your cards out from your deck by card effect: You can shuffle 15 random cards you own from your hand, field, GY, Banishment, and/or face-up from your extra deck back into your main deck (Min. 2 Monster/Spell/Trap cards each.)._ _⚫️Boon of Defiance: Once per duel, you can, while ignoring all card effects, Normal or Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower monster from your hand in face-up Defense position, OR Set 1 Spell/Trap from your hand, but if you do, that summoned/set card’s effects are negated for the next 2 turns._ And so on and so forth…
I just started playing this game and I can’t even find most of these cards in the game? Any idea why I can’t find them? Do I need to reach certain levels in order to obtain certain cards?

Tip 11: If you're a man, get your beard razor ready, cause by the time you skip all the cutscenes and pointless little daily rewards and get to actually play the game, you will have grown a massive beard.
Don’t forget the 3+ results pages after your 40 second duel which require you to tap through multiple tickets, tokens, cupons, and experience points in an incomprehensible deluge of worthless fake currencies.
If anyone here manages this game, could you please make the writing on the cards bigger or make it so I can zoom in on the cards? I can't read small writing.
If I could say one thing here, it would be: two is better than three. I learned that three will clog a starting hand so much that it would have to be something special that can come up like that or any stategy has a floodgate in the deck itself.
Tip for beginners,,,, only play meta decks with handtraps with maxx c and ash blossom and call by the grave,, and pay a lot of cash to get gems a lot quicker ,,,play nothing else except the meta,, thats what i do, and i got top rank with this method
One think I still don't get after playing about a year or so on DL: why the f... I need to basically play roulette every time I want a card from a set? Let's say I need one SR but instead I get 10 N's and R's... Why can't I just choose that one specific card, make it more gem-expensive, but let me choose, darn it... #4 - yup, still waiting for that "Scrap Iron Scarecrow" for my Yusei deck to be available again...
That's basic Gatcha Game Mechanics, it's their main way of generating revenue: Trying to goad their Players into spend real money to get the Cards / Characters / Items / Whatever (depending on the Game) they want. Most Mobile Games usually have a Mechanic where after X attempts they do let you just hand-pick the specific thing you want, but I guess Duel Links just isn't one of those then.

you need to has these deck if want to play DL for long time: - a BE deck, must up-to-date, never out meta - a stun deck like Toon, trap deck, traptrix....everyone has a bad day - one XYZ deck, one Syncron deck, one Link deck, one Pend deck. These deck for the event - one deck no need to use skill, for new character you unlock
Back in the heydays, there wasn't any forbidden nor limited cards. The now forbidden cards are so crucial to rush the storylines back then and kill off any deck that uses high level monster cards. I see where this is going. **Ka Ching!!
Around 50 000 players got qualified in Stage 2 of the WCS in Speed Duel (a bit less than 10 000 in Rush Duel WCS) If we consider that half the playerbase got to stage 2 (which is absolutely enormous I find), it's approximately 100,000 players who play the game consistently. That's not bad at all

The new skill doesnt even use afd
@@nunocarvalho6671you could but people choose not to because afd is gone in a few days now
Yeah and similarly Nurse burn will be banned/is already banned as well.

To any new player here:
If you play with a deck that you love, but is uncompetitice, do NOT be discouraged from using the deck you love.

On God and his mama
Thank you duel logs for keeping duel links alive for me
There's one important thing left out about Duel Worlds. You need to get to level 26 of Duel Monsters world to get the maximum amount of Duelists (10). So DM should be a high priority.
And if youre in need of some extra gems, it is better to lvl 30 old DM and GX characters becausw their lvl 30 reward is 300 gems instead of a card
I think the Extra Monster Zone is only for Extra Monster Deck summoned placement.
I haven't been on duel links or master duel, so this may bring me back. Thanks!
For duel links just find a friend who plays, ask for their campaign code and get yourself a free BEWD deck.
usually almost anything is viable in duel links which makes it a very skill requiring game that requires you to know obscure archetypes. while i dont like formats were only few decks are viable, formats like the one we have rn is great for beginners to get used to the game. rn the best decks are zombie pile, blue eyes and agents. agents are getting hit when the banlist takes effect and mekk knights are getting boost which might make them take agents' place. just focus on countering those
Crazy to this I've been playing this game for 8 years now. Threw me back when you said 2017
Your deck must be pretty strong by now
Before Battle Chronicle and Blue-eyes Dimension...
Thunder armed dragons + ojamas + duel tags = cheat turbo out vwxyz fuse with armed dragon lvl 7 and you can usually get Thunder Armed vwxyz catapult in 1-3 turns
My personal favorite, Love Lock Down.
As someone who is still relatively new to Duel Links despite having played for a few months (as of this comment), this vid is really helpful for me!
I just got back into duel links 3 days ago after 5 years. Good timing 😊
Best way to deal with a blue eyes deck smack them with a 10k att arc rebellion that can be summoned via raiders knight
HOLY FUCK NEW DUEL LINKS CONTENT FROM THE LOGS? Maybe there is a god…
Thanks. Haven't played the game since Tyrant Dragon dropped. Needed a refresher course before GO Rush gets added next month.
Thanks for the tips. Just started playing and I need all the help I can get
I love D/D/D deck it's kinda balanced it won't get nerfed, the deck just needs some negates it has none at the moment

oh yeah duel links meta is also really good if you're looking to get some free mat and sleeve customizations that you might not know about like summoning the ace monsters a certain number of times or getting game winning attacks with certain ones of them
Love to see a Master Duel video.
I swear they need to have a two-minute timer.
Ban IP
I remember having duel links back then with the 3 zones I use to murk with a hero’s deck
I use the Dream tickets on Ur and Sr from structure decks EX. Pretty useful to avoid using real money.
Duel Links was such a great game (might still be but i dropped off when Rush duels came out)
I just stared playing two weeks ago video helped. I grinded out and use some character unlocks but I got a pretty viable I think cyber dragon deck with the xz cyber and all fusions

As funny as it may seem, Tip 2 is very relevant. Konami REALLY loves their Blue-Eyes, so in the future it's gonna be relevant again as it is now

You can spend time unlocking and grinding characters to max level. There's over 100 characters in the game with a new one added each month.
15:05 EXACTLY. I *HATE* those freaking lizards
Duel links teach me how to actually play yugioh, when i was a kid i never learned how to play the game in any way.
i will always appreciate this game because it has taught me so much
and i finally got to play my favorite deck of all time wich is ancient gears, 2000 plus hours on this game was worth it
obviously its not all good because you can lose to bullshit skills and other stuff LMAO
don't forget to take a break from this game!
Fun fact I have done a number to Blue eyes with Aromages and Fortune Ladies if you can believe it
You'd be wise to pick Return of Red-Eyes structure deck at the very beginning of your adventure.

Darklord Nurse Reficule is a forbidden card. So not sure why its been mentioned here. Did the card get unbanned??
I was thinking importing a similar system into the OCG/TCG would help the game considerably… I call them *_“Boons”:_*
⚪️Boons would be a suite of extra rules/effects both players can opt into before the start of each duel, 1-3 for each player, or up to 6 if both players agree to play by the same boons.
⚪️Boons would be mostly defensive or utility oriented, and would be designed to add an additional layer of strategy to deck building and matches.
⚪️Almost NO boons would be able to directly interact with your opponent, but rather they would be focused on buffing their user.
⚪️And Boons would generally have effects that would be considered on the “weaker” if they were cards themselves, but since they’re NOT…
⚪️Also, Boons cannot be negated, responded to or ignored unless otherwise stated, and could be applied under a suite of circumstances (Before the duel, once or more a turn or duel, on command, whenever certain criteria are met, etc…)
⚪️So to name a some potential Boons:
_⚫️Boon of Abundance: Before the first turn, If your starting deck contained 55 or more cards; Once per duel, you can shuffle your entire hand back into your deck, then draw an equal number of cards._
_⚫️Boon of Resilience: You start the duel with 2000 more LP. Once per duel, you can halve any single instance of battle and effect damage each that you would take._
_⚫️Boon of Regeneration: During the end phase of each player’s turn, you can gain 1000 LP. Once per turn, (quick-effect), you can negate and tribute 1 monster from your hand or field: Gain LP equal to that tribute’s total ATK/DEF._
_⚫️Boon of Normality: You can normal summon/set Normal or Gemini monsters with 1 less tribute. During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon/Set 1 Normal or Gemini monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set._
_⚫️Boon of The Heart: Once per Duel, during either player’s turn, if you control 2 or less cards on the field AND have 2 or less cards in your hand: You can shuffle your deck, then declare 1 card type (Monster/Spell/Trap): Excavate the top card from your deck, and if it’s the declared card type, add it to your hand, otherwise shuffle it into your deck._
_⚫️Boon of Resourcefulness: Once per duel, if you would deck out, and your opponent had first moved any number of your cards out from your deck by card effect: You can shuffle 15 random cards you own from your hand, field, GY, Banishment, and/or face-up from your extra deck back into your main deck (Min. 2 Monster/Spell/Trap cards each.)._
_⚫️Boon of Defiance: Once per duel, you can, while ignoring all card effects, Normal or Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower monster from your hand in face-up Defense position, OR Set 1 Spell/Trap from your hand, but if you do, that summoned/set card’s effects are negated for the next 2 turns._
And so on and so forth…
I just started playing this game and I can’t even find most of these cards in the game? Any idea why I can’t find them? Do I need to reach certain levels in order to obtain certain cards?

K mostly like the game to play the strongest version of character decks possible
If I could say one thing here, it would be: two is better than three. I learned that three will clog a starting hand so much that it would have to be something special that can come up like that or any stategy has a floodgate in the deck itself.
I dropped duel links because at the time I was playing a religiously I was spending way too much money on that game

Dude scrap-iron scarecrow is already in the card trader shop for 150,000 gold per copy. You can even upgrade it to glossy and prismatic without spending gems or waiting for events reruns.

If anything, they're the only way to play casually given how toxic the TCG style has gotten.
Why all mini box become 500 gem with old
More DL content please
Darklord Nurse Reficule is now forbidden so you can't use it.
Buy Blue Eyes deck for Rush duels and climb the ladder
Do people still play duel links?
Around 50 000 players got qualified in Stage 2 of the WCS in Speed Duel (a bit less than 10 000 in Rush Duel WCS)
If we consider that half the playerbase got to stage 2 (which is absolutely enormous I find), it's approximately 100,000 players who play the game consistently. That's not bad at all
TL;DR : *YES*
Stage 59 interesting...
Nurse reficule is banned just thought to say
