Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome (PFPS), aka Runner's Knee

  • I'm on my third bout of patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS), so I felt like sharing some perspective on how to treat runner's knee, after some good and bad experiences.
    Note that I am not a medical professional and you should always check with your doctor for a treatment plan, as I did.

    Did you feel pain and discomfort in the back area of the knees ..a kind of stretching and swelling feeling in the back area of the knees ? and light pain in the hamstrings tendons

    Cant get rid of this my quads have got tight and has pull my patella up might get surgery

    I'm dealing with this now knees are burning loads of physio

      Good luck! I have been healthy for almost a year now, and will be running the Boston marathon in 11 weeks! So, you can recover and get back to it. I think this series of incidents was just a freak thing for me, starting with the basketball fall and then trying to rush back quickly. Knock on wood.
