Correct, but his death is the key, which is what JMac pointed out and everyone ignored. They didnr look at his 60 years of ministry to what he says on the topic and twisted one thing said and made it out of context. A long time ago, I got saved into the Charismatic Church. I was constantly defending “spirit filled” pastors, gifts of the spirit, a messed up eschatology etc. Not because the WORD, or Holy Spirit were leading me there, but because worldly pastors and my own lack of (or misguided) study caused me to be misled. You may like your pastor. You may think that he is professing right doctrine, you may defend certain people and their activities, but you NEED TO study the WORD yourself. You need to study, then promulgate the truths of Jesus. Your doctrinal understanding may be in error for a “minute”, but keep striving to know Jesus. Holy Spirit will guide a heart after Him. Any doctrinal misunderstanding caused by errant teaching that you think is sound doctrine… I gotta tell you, that is borne out of complacency.

I think part of the reason that the Bible tells us to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling", is because while there is nothing I can do of myself to get into Heaven (all my best works are like filthy rags to God), I actually do need to use my willpower to abstain from sin to the degree I am able; "no temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man, but God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what YOU are able, and along with the temptation will provide an escape that you can endure."- 1 Cor 10:13.... I'm no bible scholar or expert, but this is something I have been grappling with for myself lately; what is my part in following Jesus? He said "if you love me you will keep my commandments". And "he who loves mewill keep my word, and my father will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him". I appreciate John McArthur's preaching a lot. I think it's dangerous that so many churches in the US where I live are preaching that basically if you said a prayer 15 years ago you're good, no matter how you are living now. I don't know that I would feel comfortable debating anyone with lots of education on either side of this, however, I definitely am approaching my salvation with fear and trembling, and taking it to God!! God save us all from this wicked world.

John MacArthur is a true man of God. I've listened to most of his sermons several times over and I can tell you that he backs up everything he says with scripture. He doesn’t go into detail about his sins because it’s not about him, it’s about preaching the word! It’s not so much what he said about John MacArthur … it’s how he said it! That’s not what I call zealous … bottom line is the gospel is to be preached … John MacArthur does just that and has a huge following whereby he’s opened the door to many who weee and are able to receive Jesus Christ in their lives. Furthermore, he’ll probably always have a lot bigger following than this guy. When he disparages John MacArthur it’s far different than how John MacArthur goes after others. John MacArthur points out what’s being said by the preacher and how it is a twist or slant on the Scripture. Show me where John MacArthur has stepped out of line on that point! So as a result of the way he has presented himself about John MacArthur’s past sins and mishandling of money, etc. … where is the acknowledgment that John MacArthur has recanted from those sins? Jesus Christ will deal with John MacArthur’s sins as He will with all of ours, who we are also not without sin. I’m not saying it’s not the truth of the gossip he’s spewing out … but his ways of bringing this to light are not Christian-like at all … and this critical-spirited pastor needs to take a good look at himself! The lesson I take from all this is we’re not infallible but God has mercy and we have until the moment we pass to repent of those sins, for forgiveness… but there are still consequences to those actions. Another important thing is to be careful how you judge your brothers and sisters in Christ … it may not fair well for you if you behave in the manner that was displayed in this video! It’s important how things are said … I too am guilty of religiosity, which compassion tends to be omitted in most cases. This is not a preacher I wish to learn from, if indeed he is a pastor. I feel your passion and righteous fury though some restraint is necessary. It's hard enough looking up to someone like John only to find out that he's one of those wolves among sheep, abusing their position and squandering that gift. Ravi's scandal was a punch in the gut for me but i guess no one is safe and corruption is a thing especially when money is a motivator. Jesus simplistic life sums it up. Being unattached to the material leaves you more room for spiritual wellness and attunement to God's will. Getting attached to money is a sure way to lose your way.

In other words, this Asian man is creating division by spewing hatred, gossip and un-factual statements. I actually think he is bi-polar, which makes sense; as he does speak rational at times. The state of California started a bully campaign against John MacArthur after Macarthur sued the state for not allowing churches to worship during COVID. A long time ago, I got saved into the Charismatic Church. I was constantly defending “spirit filled” pastors, gifts of the spirit, a messed up eschatology etc. Not because the WORD, or Holy Spirit were leading me there, but because worldly pastors and my own lack of (or misguided) study caused me to be misled. You may like your pastor. You may think that he is professing right doctrine, you may defend certain people and their activities, but you NEED TO study the WORD yourself. You need to study, then promulgate the truths of Jesus. Your doctrinal understanding may be in error for a “minute”, but keep striving to know Jesus. Holy Spirit will guide a heart after Him. Any doctrinal misunderstanding caused by errant teaching that you think is sound doctrine… I gotta tell you, that is borne out of complacency.

I'm no bible scholar or expert, but this is something I have been grappling with for myself lately; what is my part in following Jesus? He said "if you love me you will keep my commandments". And "he who loves mewill keep my word, and my father will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him".
I appreciate John McArthur's preaching a lot. I think it's dangerous that so many churches in the US where I live are preaching that basically if you said a prayer 15 years ago you're good, no matter how you are living now. I don't know that I would feel comfortable debating anyone with lots of education on either side of this, however, I definitely am approaching my salvation with fear and trembling, and taking it to God!!

John MacArthur is a true man of God. I've listened to most of his sermons several times over and I can tell you that he backs up everything he says with scripture. Everyone else will pale in comparison and will be known to commit sins. I’ve only heard John MacArthur preach the Gospel and explain the Scripture in its context and what it means to apply to our lives today. He teaches about discernment.
I don’t hold John MacArthur on a pedestal and I know he’s a man who is broken like the rest of us, to which he admits he is guilty himself of committing sins, from the pulpit no doubt. He doesn’t go into detail about his sins because it’s not about him, it’s about preaching the word!
The only thing you have managed to succeed at and to clearly demonstrate is what it’s like to be envious of others and spreading gossip and rumours of your brethren … another child of God. Just remember as you spew anger out of your mouth and think you are so righteous for exposing someone:

This guy is zealous for the truth of God. When someone is a teacher, your life is under much criticism. The Bible clearly states that that if you’re gonna preach the word, you have to be almost blameless, and they recommend to not even to become a preacher.
Jon MacArthur has done some questionable things that do not line up with the word of God.

It’s not so much what he said about John MacArthur … it’s how he said it! That’s not what I call zealous … bottom line is the gospel is to be preached … John MacArthur does just that and has a huge following whereby he’s opened the door to many who weee and are able to receive Jesus Christ in their lives. Furthermore, he’ll probably always have a lot bigger following than this guy. When he disparages John MacArthur it’s far different than how John MacArthur goes after others. John MacArthur points out what’s being said by the preacher and how it is a twist or slant on the Scripture. Show me where John MacArthur has stepped out of line on that point!
So as a result of the way he has presented himself about John MacArthur’s past sins and mishandling of money, etc. … where is the acknowledgment that John MacArthur has recanted from those sins? Jesus Christ will deal with John MacArthur’s sins as He will with all of ours, who we are also not without sin. I’m not saying it’s not the truth of the gossip he’s spewing out … but his ways of bringing this to light are not Christian-like at all … and this critical-spirited pastor needs to take a good look at himself!
The lesson I take from all this is we’re not infallible but God has mercy and we have until the moment we pass to repent of those sins, for forgiveness… but there are still consequences to those actions. Another important thing is to be careful how you judge your brothers and sisters in Christ … it may not fair well for you if you behave in the manner that was displayed in this video! It’s important how things are said … I too am guilty of religiosity, which compassion tends to be omitted in most cases. This is not a preacher I wish to learn from, if indeed he is a pastor. I have come across several of his posts and have ignored every one of them … sorry but I have little respect for this man. There are too many preachers available who can role model more Christ-like behaviours to which I can learn from, without having to put others down, so as to lift oneself up! I pray he comes to see his own sins … as the log in his eye is huge!!!
