You have quite a different understanding than I do, though we do agree that we are justified by our faith and also that works as it pertains to the law has absolutely no place in in our salvation by grace. The only difference I can see is your understanding of the true meaning of repentance and mine are vastly different. I'd enjoy discussing this with you on your livestream sometime in the future at your convenience. I think it could be a positive experience I have no interest in any kind of disrespectfulness I just wanna hear you break it down with your scriptures and then allow me a crack at it that's all. I like Justin Peters. But I don't agree with him about cessationism. It's good that he doesn't place a condition on God only to believe Him if he gets healing though.
But, I remember riding back to my hometown on the bus after being gone for 2 years. I was 16 when I left. I remembered thinking that I was probably taller now than before. I was pretty sure I was going to be taller now because it made sense that I would have grown in 2 years.
Hadn't really thought about it till then but I think it happened right there sitting on the bus. The guy sitting next to me was a whole head lower when I looked over at him. What I remember most distinctly the wide eyed look of amazement he gave me. We didn't speak for the rest of the ride.
When I got back and boarded the city bus, I hit my hat on the door jam boarding. Granted, it was a cowboy hat, but I didn't know I was that tall. The people on the bus whispered to each other, "He's too tall." When I woke up the next morning I was taller than I was before but I wasn't that tall anymore.
They also said I'm near sighted. And I have to wear glasses to pass my eye exam at the drivers licence office. But, one time I sat reading a book and noticed it had drifted farther away from my face than usual and I could still read it. I set it on the ground and every word was still legible. I stood up and read the words on the page clearly as it lay on the ground. I then stood on the bench and could still read it. I'm trying to figure out how despite of this I still haven't been able to pass my eye exam without corrective lenses?

Thank you for having Justin on this video. God has used him greatly in my life. I have learned so much from him and did not realize how much error I had received until I started listening to Justin Peters, Paul Washer, John MacArthur, Steve Lawson, Phil Johnson and other sound teachers. Bonnie Fiddes, following all these so-called "men of God" without examining their statements compared to Scripture, is inherently dangerous to your relationship with Christ. Please examine what is said in scripture about repentance.
Wow!!! This just gave me the answer to my question about my salvation!
In the past, I had tried to be a "good" Christian, but never accomplished much. I would say I would go to church and read the Bible but ultimately things never stuck.
It was a few years ago when I was so broken, so disgusted with everything wicked and horrible I had become, that I was finally done with SIN. It was then I became born again. I was no longer seeking escape from hell; I was seeking forgiveness because I knew I had insulted and hurt my Holy Father.
Wow oh wow.... I now know how to articulate why this time was different and I am a completely new person in Christ. This will help me in sharing the gospel to others and my testimony.

Calvinism is a false doctrine that has tremendous unbiblical complications. I urge you to compare the thousands of biblical verses that imply free will to the handful that imply predestination.

@Romeo Allen Yes, I do need more biblical evidence because you didn't provide any. Of course I iagree that man is not good enough to enter heaven- he needs the sacrifice of Christ. However, I contend that the Bible teaches that man has the ability to accept God. Many of the passages you even quote imply that.
And the 4 of the first 5 are the same verse just repeated. Pretty bogus evidence. It is about how man is not righteous. It's not about total depravity, which is doctrine from man, not God.
The opening sequence is well-worth the entire video. Watch it all, but, the discussion on repentance and true salvation is so rich and so needed today. Like Justin -- and I'm sure like so many others -- I was a so called convert at 16, lived a life thinking I was saved, until I was soundly, graciously saved at 35. I had plenty of assurances from church leaders/members along the way, but, I was indeed lost. I knew when I passed from death to life, darkness to light. And it wasn't walking an aisle at 16, promising to live like a Christian with all my might, in a SBC church.

Love Justin peters! He is so great at explaining things.
Having been delivered from Calvinism, I find the teaching that we don't have the ability to believe in Jesus unless God supernaturally gives us an effectual faith to believe is just not taught in the Bible. Calvinism teaches the opposite of John 20:31 - "but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." God did not predetermine who would be saved (Calvinist "Predestination"), but rather those in Christ (those who come to Christ) are predestined to be holy and blameless before Him. In other words, God did not predetermine who would be the Elect and thereby predetermining who would go to hell. He predetermined that all those who believe in Christ would be the Elect, and all those who reject Christ will go to hell.
That's not what John 6:44 says... it says no man is ABLE to come to ME UNLESS The FATHER draws them...all who are given to the SON BY THE FATHER are drawn and raised on the last day. Your problem is with GOD'S WORD. You're the objecter in Romans 9.
The Lord finally brought me to this kind of repentance. I now just hate sin and hate that I have offended God. Everytime my mind falls on a memory of a sin i had forgotten I feel such sorrow of hurting the Lord and I repent of it in tears. I am thankful that the Lord has done this. I no longer miss my old life at all. I struggled with missing parts of it for a long time but its gone. Glory to God for this. I feel closer to God and thank Him for never giving up on me. I know ,finally, that I am saved. I had to just throw myself on His mercy and trust Jesus.
Oh, wow, I am stunned to hear this! I thought I was one of extremely few who had this testimony! When I was 14, I decided that I wanted to be a Christian, so I went to the altar in an Arminian/Pentecostal camp meeting, but when I heard my mother there beside me, I got up and left. The next day, I talked myself into thinking I was a believer. However, I learned at the age of 57, quite unexpectedly, that I was not a believer at all when without even thinking of my own salvation, I suddenly realized I was repenting of my sin with profound horror at how evil my soul was! It was shocking, and I lived in complete wonder at what was going in me for several weeks! I am 70 now and still both shocked and amazed. Just keeping this short . . . .

I don’t think he does. I think he loves his religious identity. Calvinists believe you are predestined for heaven or hell from conception. That’s not loving people. That’s the worst of all condemnations, that some people were just born to burn in hell forever with no choice in the matter. Don’t sound like love at all, sounds depressing, condemning and hopeless. Why even be a preacher if its all set in stone? Makes zero sense.

Thank you so much for this wonderful discussion. Pastor Peter's, I discovered TH-cam just a year ago, (I'm a seniorcitizen) then I found I could have Bible study online during the Covid lock down. I knew very little about the New Apostolic Reformation, or Bethel or The likes of the Faith healers/heretical churches except when I was deciding what to watch. Copeland scared the wits out of me, he has such crazy ideas but his downright evil stare/smile/laugh was downright frightening. I had seen Joel Osteen on TV and knew in my heart he preaches something that is NOT the Jesus I know and love. Then Jesse Duplantis is just crazy, I've watched almost all of your videos exposing these false preachers and he is playing with fire, hell fire. I too pray they repent before it's too late. I have learned so much from you, and I watch Pastor Jack Hibbs and His Glory programs. Thank you so much, you definitely speak the truth in love!

It was a heart hurt worse than when my dad passed, I really loved my dad
I am not one of Peters' flock but after listening to him, I want to hear more. His demeanour, sincerity, his calm approach presents him as being believable and worthy of being heard.

What an immense help & blessing to hear this. I cannot begin to tell or even attempt to explain the agony of just not knowing. Not knowing if I’m truly saved, the feverish scrutiny of my every word & every deed. As Justin said he’d preach & return to his hotel & “lie awake” due the not truly knowing or grasping actual repentance. If I beg enough, if I promise everything; all in hoping I’m forgiven. Hoping God will have mercy on me. Hoping that somehow, amid the multitudes, he’ll notice me. But I now have far better understanding, I now know I’ve been gifted from God & can see, hear, feel much of what Justin described as true repentance from our God. The problem I have with using Bethel, Hillsong, and Elevation music in church is that all their songs are licensed and you need to pay to use them. I am so glad that Justin brought this up. Most people don’t even realize this
They only pay for the sheet music once. Only copyright fees not a license. The license is for public performances on tv .Just like when they were buying hymnals, it is only a small fee for sheet music. It is fair to pay someone for their work. That being said, churches not using hymnals anymore has truly hurt the finances of those who still own the copyright on a few of the old hymns. Even the preacher and secretary at the church gets paid.
@@RepentfollowJesus I'm fine with people being paid for work. I am not fine with giving any money to dangerous heretics. even if it's only once. Even if it's only five dollars or five cents.

If God is the One whom ultimately does the work of repentance in people there would be no need for Him to continually deal with Israel to turn back to Him as we see depicted in the story of Hosea. Why call people to repent and turn back to Him if they have no part in choosing to do so?
Thank you to both of you for having Justin peters on. I believe he is aman pf God's truth. We need more like him. Lets all pray for revival across American that maybe the Christians in this naton will get serious about serving God and spreading the gospel in hope that our chrildern and grandchildren might have a chance to worship Jesus in freedom.
One of the reasons perhaps your discernment and Justin’s ministry gets more hits on their TH-cam is because a lot of Christians have teachers we subscribe to for devotional type ministry but there are so few voices out there saying this person is false. Thank you for standing for truth
So in 1 part he is saying that predestination is a God honoring doctrine. How is God purposely not ‘selecting’ someone for heaven and sending them to hell God honoring? The doctrine in Calvinism of predestination is as bad as any heresy out there. And it’s so easy to disprove in the Bible.

Hi guys, thank you for doing this video I do watch a lot of Justin Peters videos. I want to ask about an experience that I had around 20 plus years ago and it goes like this: I went to a church one weekend with my wife and there was a guest pastor from I think California, I was living in a suburb of Toronto Ontario Canada at the time. It was I think our second time at this church but we did not have any friends or even acquaintances there nobody knew us and certainly not the guest speaker. We did not fill out any prayer requests forms or give anyone any information about ourselves. As he was finishing preaching he approached me and asked me if I had an ear problem, then he TOLD me that there was something wrong with my inner ear but it was not deafness. He then proceeded to tell me that God just healed me of this condition. Only weeks prior to this I had experienced a lot of dizziness and went to my doctor to see what was the matter and after some tests I was diagnosed with vertigo. I had been praying that God would take it away so that I could continue to work and serve at my church. I have not had any dizziness since that time and it was quite a few years ago. I know the Bible talks about word of knowledge Word of Faith gifts and even healing gifts. I do not believe that there are any modern-day apostles. But I can't help concluding that based on the word of God this was a word of knowledge and a healing. I don't want to be wrong in my assumption so what do you guys think happened that night? can you please give me some feedback? I am incredibly grateful that this problem went away. I look forward to your comments.

I was terrified about my salvation for a long time because I thought even though I was repentant (I went from enjoying my sin to honestly hating my sin) but I thought for some reason maybe the Lord didnt draw me because I know I'm awful ,maybe I hate sin now because I want so badly to have a relationship with Jesus etc.....because I was unable to stop my sin immediately .I thought if I repented right that I would get up the next day and my 10 year addiction would be gone. I didn't understand that the Lord would work on me
The basics of the Gospel? John the Baptist and Jesus both taught "Repent for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand." Peter, on the Day of Pentecost said, "Repent and be baptized....." None of them said, "Let God grant you repentance." They told the people they had to repent.
And in the book of Revelation, Jesus was still saying, "Repent" to the churches He had John send the messages to.
Proper repentance: understanding that you were made for God's image and can learn to walk like Him through Holy Spirit.
What lots of people (even pastors) don't (yet) understand.
For the fall of man a perfect atoning sacrifice had to be made.... that is what God did in Christ.
He paid the debt for the fall of man for us to be indwelled by His Spirit again and finally receive the divine life of the ages back, the first Adam let got of in the fall of man.
That is what you see happening in Christ's first disciples. They too healed all.
And yes.... that is still avaible today. The holy blood is in place, the Holy Spirit is here to give us understanding and transform us back to origin.
Not to be debated about, but to be embraced and be-come.
So: The Kingdom of God already came. Through Christ, in Spiritform, in those that understand.
Hence the divine healing miracles we experience.
God manifested in Christ to give us back the divine life mankind lost in the fall of Adam.
Christ, the exact image of the invisible God.
The image we were created after in Gen 1.
The image we lost in the fall of man.
The image that can be freely restored by Christ's blood and Holy Spirit working IN us.
What a plan. What a solution. What a love. What a God. Jesus is amazing.
It is the ultimate conclusion of the word and plan of God. God came full circle.
He Himself stooped down from glory to restore us back to original created value: Christlikeness. Walking in divine healing power and unselfish love.
Jesus, born of the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God. The "Son" of God, the incarnated word, God in the flesh.
For three years He healed all, raised the dead, casted out demons, controlled nature, spoke pure divine truth.
He said:
"Follow Me. If you see Me, you see the Father. The Father and I are one. The glory I have IN My Father, I give to you. It pleases the Father to give you His Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature. I will send Holy Spirit, the same as Me, He will be IN you, guide you into truth and give you explosive power. The same miracles i do, you will do too, because you will understand that the Father is IN Me and I am IN you. Freely I give you My Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, freely I give, freely share" Etc, etc, etc.
I have experienced thousands of beautifull healing miracles through the power of Holy Spirit IN me already. Broken bones, cancers, covid, all kinds of infirmities healed in seconds. Demons manifesting and casted out by a simple "get out, in Jesus name".
Jesus. De name above all names. In Him all power and wisdom is sourced and.... He calls us one with Him. God in man and man in God again. C'mon Jesus!!
So.... again: God stooped down IN Christ to restore us back to Gen 1:27 were He said: "Let us make man according to our image and likeness and let them have authority.....": walk as Christ.
Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after and being restored to by His atoning blood for the fall of man and indwelling Holy Spirit.
You are free to receive this original divine life of the ages by Holy Spirit of Christ/God. Ask Him to guide you into truth. Read the Gospel of John and fall in love with your creator.
You are not made for the fall of man and its effects, but for the image/glory of God and to walk like Christ. Holy Spirit is the guide and transforming power that will get you there. Amazing grace.
A big leap in faith can be made when we start realizing we are already IN Christ, IN the last Adam.
Free from the fall! Loved! Growing into awareness of our new (yet old) godly identity. Changing by Holy Spirit. The most fullfilled life ever.
Paul healed all on Malta. He understood and wrote:
"As in the first Adam ALL died (lost the divine nature), so also ALL were made alive IN Christ to walk in Zoë (= divine life) again".
"IN Christ (the last Adam) we are co-cruisified (dead to the fall and its effects), co-raised (justified/made righteousness, holy, blameless, above reproach), co-seated (one with Him)"
"The fullness of deity dwells in Christ and YOU HAVE BEEN MADE COMPLETE IN HIM, who is the head of every principality and power".
So.... thank you Jesus! Thank you for redeeming me from the fall of man. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that makes this new (yet old) divine life come alive in me. You are amazing!

Ten years ago i thought I received salvation, but ten years later I still fall into the trap of sin, I have to literally go into my modem/router settings to block certain websites so even if I am tempted it is impossible. I fear God has never picked me and I am delusional to believe he picked me that he will never pick me. When I realized the truth of what Calvin had said years ago, I fear God did not make me one of the elect. This new understanding of Christianity is depressing and it makes everything so hopeless. If God doesn't want me there is nothing I can do about it, then what is the point of even living? Why even create me if he just wants to destroy me?
Suki suki luu read and study the Bible for yourself. It is helpful to listen to preachers sometimes but more important to read the Word for yourself. In that and through that God speaks to us. If you believe in Christ you are saved and He is the perfector of our faith. He is our hope. Keep your eyes fixed on the work that was done on the Cross ! God bless.
Prayer is a must. We need God by His Holy Spirit to give us wisdom and discernment to understand what we are reading. I have known of devoted so called believers that have read the Bible cover to cover more than 5 times to end up denying God and turning atheists at the end. In the book of Acts 8:26-40 the Ethiopian Eunuch was reading Isaiah and Phillip was sent to him by The Spirit to explain The Scripture.
You also have to be super careful not to listen to just anybody. People twist Scripture to adjusted to their own beliefs
God didn’t create any of us just to destroy us, that’s crazy and it’s the enemy. Jesus promised to NEVER leave us or forsake us and to go with us to the end of the world! Say that everyday and don’t live by your feelings, live by your faith, worship and praise God for sending Jesus to die in your place, spend time in prayer and Bible reading everyday even if it’s only 15 minutes. This is probably one of the most important discussions on repentance, I’ll ever come across. And only from an outsider. The labels and theology group names has not served me well; i.e., “Calvinist”, “Sovereignty”. The subject is repentance. The contextual point of reference is 2 Corinthians chapter 7, verse 10. Justin Peters spoke of a duality of Godly repentance. This is new to me. It’s also a bit troubling. My hope is that Justin will read this and respond directly on these comments. For quite some time now, I have seen, read, listened to his ministry, (Peters), on a variety of topics in the tight circles of sound Christian doctrine. This man has won me over. This video is not settled.

Where in the Bible is cessation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit stated?
This seems to be a fundamental question.
I have in my life been to revival and healing services as young as 17yrs old. I have seen real healing’s verified medically.
A church I attended back then also had individuals speaking in a language they did not know witnessed by one who’s language was native to the other speaking in “tongues”. That man was brought to salvation as a result.
Just because you have not seen or experienced such does not preclude the reality.
Did not Jesus say “ you will do works greater then I” ?
That with faith one could move mountains…
This is not to argue nor criticize but is as a genuine question concerning the gifts of the Holy Spirit present in today’s world.
I agree that False teachings are evident as you pointed out. Olsten, Meyers, Johnson etc.
We are here for one reason: to glorify God. If A song does not adhere to scripture no one should sing it or listen to it

The same way God commands us to be joyful in suffering - which we can't do on our own. The Holy Spirit enables us and our God-given will must choose to submit to Him and obey.
It comes from the heart. God knows.
The Bible says these signs shall follow them that believe they shall cast out devils they will speak with new tongues they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover explain that one
My guess is that the explanation would be something along the lines of, "that was fulfilled by some believers in the first century, and then closed/sealed/ceased."
They don't believe that those promises are for today.

A "church" is a building with walls with seats filled with sinners. It will never be perfect.
I really hate the false prophets that are getting rich and sending people to hell with their theology but I wish people could listen more about those people and find another church to go to or listen the correct videos so they can escape hell. Please Justin spread this information so people will get saved
I'm 60 years old and I'm just realizing that I need to repent from a few things, but there is a sea of churches that are teaching error. How do we find one that sounds like or close to Justen? So tired of sitting in churches that are off point, please help, thanks.

So, a false belief, then, is any theological position that differs from his own; I would respect Justin's perspectives if he applied them consistently - and equally - to the beliefs and practices of those he respects but differs with on some issues (RC Sproul and the like, etc.).
10:03 godly sorrow over sin.? So have I missed something with having regrets of sin but no remorse . I try not to willingly sin but I am still stuck doing sin as I have that sin nature. However I do not feel the sin being to the point Justin claims.
The only thing we will have covering us for salvation will be the righteousness, life and death of Jesus Christ our Savior. Not our good works of His laws, not our sufferings of persecution for our beliefs,, nor repentance ,baptism ,preaching the gospel, nor correcting the wrongs of others, nothing but, Jesus redemption and grace for us. All we do as saved believers are not counted for our salvation, they are counted for our sanctification, also received by the help of the Holy Spirit. All false churches,preachers, doctrines, music, actions , blasphemies done, will be judged and destroyed by our mighty God!
Speaking of error, where is the book chapter and verse that says we spend eternity in heaven? Also, where does it say the gifts ended. There is a false ministry of famous preachers not found anywhere in Scripture.
All the churches in my town play that music except the Catholic Church as far as I know I live in Australia Hillsong culture is everywhere what should I do not go to church I’m not sure and I’m struggling with it.
Go to the pastor in private and discuss it with him. Take this video and a couple others to give him to listen to to back up your concerns.
I find some Hillsong songs very inspiring. Make your own decision on it.
Im in Tassie Australia im not attending a church yet but if you google Reformed churches in Australia it gives you a map of them, im not saying this means they are sound churches but i think this is the best starting point as in it culls out obviously heretical churches as mentioned in video but from there you can research, contact and ask questions directly to them about thier statements of faith to see if it suits yours. Dont be afraid to have a list and ask them direct questions and just because they say they take Gods word as true and sufficient that they mean it ask questions.

I just don't get what he means by repentance? Does repentance initially take hold of us by the sovereignty of God and then afterwards we actively play a part in it? I think the spirit of God is constantly guiding us into repentance but I don't see repentance as a work, more of a reaction to the grace of God. As an example, if a husband has been mistreating his wife for years, and as a side note he incurs a financial debt which he is struggling to pay back, but his wife has been secretly paying back over the years, and he walks into the bank to try and settle only to find out his wife has paid it all, then his reaction to the overwhelmingly loving grace of his wife would be repentance, wouldn't it? So it's a reaction to something that has been accomplished, thus, the husband would find his wife with eyes full of tears, hug her intently and cry out his pleas of forgiveness for how he's been treating her, and there after would he exhibit fruits of repentance, such as love and tenderness towards his amazing wife.

And unless such reaction of repentance take place then there is no reconciliation that takes place, but if the husband never hears about his wife's wife's wonderful deed, then how can he even have a reaction of repentance? So, people need to hear the goods news of the gospel and then upon hearing it, they can react with repentance which brings forth it fruits. Its the gospel that produces the work of repentance and its not a work of ourselves but that of the spirit working us.
Of course the cofusing part of a message like this that says base your assurance on your, desires, afections, sorrow etc, is that we still have a adamic or sinfull flesh that still is atracted to sin, worldliness, selfishnes etc. So basing asurance on introspection like this can certainly cause doubt or confusion. Ive always been confused by somone who says they were a believer for years but say they were not saved until had all these changes in thier life. The christian bases assurance on Christs finished work and that imputed to the believer. A mesage like this is closer to catholic theology wich teaches " infused" rightiosnes instead of " imputed" for justification before God.
Reaching out for help...I would describe myself as a conservative calvanist, And believe if you want to hear God speak (Read the Bible) A Pastor friend of mine is of a free grace Theology and education and believes Jesus speaks to us directly and outside of scripture but not in contradiction to scripture. He is always saying "Listen to Jesus, and do what he says" I love him, but know I frustrate him...I am also frustrated with the continuous mental mind twist of this theology. Is it possible to work with him, to be a part of that local body of believers, or should I just agree to disagree and keep an arms distance as far as being part of that Church?
I hope you get the answer you need. This is sneaking into our church also. For some of us there is no better option of another local church.
This is a difficult position to be in, though I'm a little confused. You identify this man as a "pastor friend" but then ask if its okay to be part of that church. Is that your church and you're asking if you ought to leave? Or are you part of another church and then wondering what level of fellowship you should have with this pastor friend and his church?
In either case, it's not an easy thing. Ultimately we cannot make a decision for you and you will have to work through the issues. There are times when even secondary disagreements can rightly divide brothers and sisters into different churches while maintaining an attitude of charity toward those with whom you disagree. Could it not also be considered a 'work' to come to the intellectual conclusions of calvanism and 'attain' such understanding?
In essence, if making a humble, simple choice to believe the gospel can be considered a 'work', equally, if not more so, couldn't making strides intellectually to comprehend a certain doctrine, that is obviously not easily accepted, also be considered a 'work'?

20:57 I love this. Personally I would also disagree that continuationism is automatically charismatic. Yes, going by the definition and word itself charismatic is one thing. However how it plays out in our culture has no limits, and that version is wrong. But to say just being a continuationist or even in the open but cautious camp is somehow at odds with the sufficiency of scripture is not right. Maybe the gift of prophecy, depending on how you mean it, could be.

The truth; your plea, if not from God the Holy Spirit, will fall short of your heartfelt desire and intent. After all, can we love a human being more than our God! repentance is a heart condition. when one genuinely seeks and longs for Jesus to come into their life and save them, it is because of the recognition of their sins. the natural response from the believer from that point on, is the evidence of repentance that grows from the seeds of faith that have been planted. being born again, is the salvation, through faith and repentance. Jesus made it clear, to love me and know me, is to obey me, believing in me, loving me and sinning no more. he clearly is saying, it is a personal desire in wanting to repent. it is the evidence of understanding and devotion to God. without display of turning away from sin, then faith is just a belief in God, but with no real love or wisdom of God. God knows the heart of every person, no matter what they profess or believe, what they do or don't do. the grace he offers is when one chooses to do rightly, becoming convicted of sin and seeks forgiveness, because without personal sorrow...God is just recognized but not glorified. thank you Justin for your ministry.
I wouldn't use the arminian and calvinist paradigm so when I say I don't believe Calvin to be true they would argue that I'm an arminian. I believe what is written in the bible so when a man interprets the bible, writes a whole different theology about the character of God then accepting it as true, concludes that they were determined by God to be deceived. They themselves didn't choose to believe calvin.
