I was jist reading my school book and came across the organic semiconductor. I suddenly thought when its organic then we must be using them now instead of silicon or germanium based semiconductor. Then i came across this and now i know how far the research has been gone.
Bioelectronics?! sounds like a key technology to get humans to a whole new level (harvesting energy from our body, implanting sensors or even a screen as you showed with OLED).
At the end of the film the voice-over says Prof. Leo is being called "The leading light" of organics in the press. The original German text actually says he is called the "Organik-Papst" which means "the Pope of Organics". Apprently the German press is not woke enough, according to the EPO....
This is super exciting!! And I'm thankful to be able to take his lectures and learn all this in much detail from him at TUD!!
