I think what makes him so astounding is his perfect technical abilities in combination with the expressiveness of his performance... the combination of athleticism and artistry. His skating is pure and passionate in a way that makes people like me who are already jaded want to cry. When I watch him skate I have a feeling of being thankful or lucky to witness something special that not all people in history have been able to see.
His skating is just beautiful. I loved watching him lose himself in the ice, and put so much passion into his movements. He's my favorite in the skating competition, and that's with no bias from me. I can truly see his dedication and it makes me so happy.
It was slo beautiful. There is just no other way to put it. He looked so free and careless. He completely lost himself there. I'm actually crying because it triggered some emotions.
I think his asthma was bad. He did not seem to get enough air. He did well to rescue two of these jumps in such a spectacular fashion! Never saw him fall out of a spin before. Gasping during interview. How I wish he did not have asthma. Kudos to his courage ❤🎉

I love his skating. He's the best skater in the field right now! But this choreo is just so empty! The music is good, but there's a lot of standing still and random moves... He can do better, as he did last season.
There's always a pre-run at the Olympic city a year or two ahead. So this time, the Grid Prix Finals were held in Sochi in 2012, and then the Olympics were held in Sochi in 2014
