I love that Gigi calls her “Blue nana”. My kids differentiate their nana and papa as “nana and papa with the kitty” and “nana and papa without the kitty”. They still do it at 11, 8 and 7!!! Hahahah.

My father did musical theater in his youth and then when he retired he returned to it and fell in love with it all over again and got so much joy out of it- I imagine that there will be a time you may want to perform again. I got so much joy watching my dad- he’s no longer here but I have such sweet memories of him and his performances.

As someone who's been a vegetarian for almost ten years, you have to press your tofu for at least an hour. I have these little green and white tofu presses that I got on Amazon and they are so easy. Each one hold a block and I stick them in the fridge in the morning and when I get home I have tofu ready to go. Another option is to buy the vacuum sealed tofu.

I do security at the Stephen Sondheim theatre. There was a memorial for him there tonight before the show. I know Jessica said y’all might go to NYC for a trip before baby. Mrs. Doubtfire is an amazing musical. Rob McLure really does that part justice.

I remember when you edited the same night. We didn’t get as much late night silliness though!! I’ve definitely missed your vlogs around your house. Welcome to the Cutting board has definitely been missed as well as “Watch the Garden Grow”, what books you’re reading, and helpful items for Gigi. They’ve given me so many helpful tips. Gigi has grown up so much since we saw her last and poor Pinocchio’s probably still trying to figure out how she keeps changing!!They’re only little once. Please remember that work will always be there but your kids change and grow everyday!! I have three girls, 28, 27, & 23. The older two are like day & night. My oldest is quiet, middle is loud, and my youngest is a bit of both!

I was also very surprised and moved to hear Tyler playing piano again! Our mother was a pianist and we girls (4) went to bed listening to her music. She played everything from Beetoven to honkytonk :) I finally realized as an adult I had heard her play Dave Brubek's "Take Five" so much it became a haunting favorite I couldn't identify until later in my life. I am moved to tears hearing you are self taught, good on you! Nothing like the joy and emotions of music can possible compare. Vlogmas is a pure joy, Jessica you are beautiful and moreso with the baby (!), we love you and your family and your sets of parents and the brother from New England, the recipes, your puppitah, sighhh... Tyler playing piano was so amazing! One of my big regrets is never learning to play the piano and also never pursuing musical theater because I was too embarrassed! My advice as an almost 40 year old mom to all the young people out there is to follow your dreams and don't worry so much about what anyone else thinks! ♥️
We used to differentiate my grandparents by their dog’s name when we were little.. so it was Grandma and Grandpa Ben or Silver.. it’s funny what you decide to call people when you are little.

If you try using the tofu again, I recommend making off the tofu crumbles on a sheet pan to remove some of the moisture. This is what I’ve done in the past when I’ve made tofu shepherds pie!

If you try using the tofu again, I recommend making off the tofu crumbles on a sheet pan to remove some of the moisture. This is what I’ve done in the past when I’ve made tofu shepherds pie!

I say all that, to say I completely understand why you keep GiGi out of most videos but it’s so stinking sweet to see her personality during some of these. My son Hayden would chat to his animals, read them books, play Lego’s all while he should have been sleeping , he always go up in the am , he just chilled out a bit before falling asleep .

I have health issues and trying to juggle that and raising two young kids myself ontop of dealingwith depression especially during the holidays with no family around..your videos bring me so much comfort. Love that Gigi calls them Blue Nana and White Nana. My best friend's kids call their grandmas "Pancake Grammy" and "bingo Grammy" even now that they're 8&11. I call them that too and one time at a party I heard my husband call one of them "Pancake Grammy" to her face (which was hilarious because he's an adult and not related to them)
