for me it helps to close everything else I have open while I edit, but it definitely got pretty laggy trying to edit once I got closer to finishing the video

@@skizziler Make proxies and only render the section you are working in. Usually lags because its rendering every single thing you have at once. You cans see how this would be problematic with a 3-4 hour long video.
