Normally I'm not interested in death metal or deathcore but whoever wrote this solo and played those sweeps so fluently is immensely talented. It inspired me to pick up my guitar last week and practice sweeping, and now I'm a lot better than I used to be.
The sheer complexity & musicality of those sweep passages is intense enough (let alone being able to even remember all those notes!), and here you are, owning it like a boss! Fantastic work here, mate!
Thank you so much for doing this lesson! I've been practicing off this lesson for a month and I'm finally starting to get up to the speed. I'm also using "The Amazing Slow-Downer" software to practice with the song. I about got it down to 80% of the song speed and I recommend it to beginners. there's probably free alternative software out there too somewhere.
Awesome !! :)Better than me, and you are such a blessing... Finding guitar opeo just now was a blessing with u !! 😠I already kinda figured out how to work it, but what exactly the ups and downs of it !!??I guess I kijnda mean ..... ?? What's thee catch !!? ;/
Sounds amazing dude, and I've been trying to learn this but i can't find any tabs that are right/ the links for your guitar pro tabs aren't working. Do you think you could just like write up a regular tab and send it to me? Or maybe upload a tutorial where you go through the whole thing and break it down note by note i understand if you don't want to but it would definitely help me and probably a bunch of other people out.
@@BorjaMintegiaga I tried to find this hoodie for 3 years, I decided to write and you answered very quickly !!! Why didn't I do this sooner? You are the best!
Pure badass dude. I can only wish to sweep. How long did it take you to learn the technique and where do I start first? I consider myself a intermediate player since I can't shred only chug.
What's the best way to set metronome? Should I play 16th note triplets (ie group of six notes per click) or something else? I find playing 6 notes per quarter note click very hard to do consistently, even at very slow tempos.
Akis Mylordos I dont have an account. So I pulled up the written, I spotted a mistake on the first line, haven't gone through it all but ill match it up with this video and post anymore mistakes.
Ryan Merriam You don't need an account lol. I don't have one either. You just search the tabs section on ultimate guitar for "xiv solo", you will get 2 results. Click the second, the type is guitar pro. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the grey "download guitar pro tab" button. I looked through most of it and there are no mistakes.
Hey how did you go about practicing this? Like I know how to sweep but ive never tried something this hard. At what speed should I start with the metronome? and when should I speed it up?
I remember "Tornado Of Souls" solo seemed so hard back in the day...
It is a hard solo :)

This is melodic metalcore, not deathmetal or deathcore. Deathcore has no solo or leads really and death metal does but it's wayyy heavier.
BoO is deathcore.....
Jason Richardson! He even has a solo album recently dropped that includes the updated version of this.
Thanks again, Borja. This is one of the greatest covers i've seen. And I'm having lots of fun learning this.
Thanks so much mate! Glad you are enjoying it
So how much did you sell your soul to Jason Richardson for?
guitar volume is way too loud in the demonstration so i think he play it sloppy
probably you don't know a lot by Borja Mintegiaga
@@DukeOz yeah he didn't 100% nail it but its also clean enough to know its 1. The actual song and 2. You know it's him playing it

@Gabriel Gutierrez Gracias tio! La verdad es que sí, tienen un toque a Becker solo que algo más modernos. Becker es un pilar para todos. Un saludo!
Absolutely incredible. Great job man!!!!
This is may sound over-exaggerating but dude, you are a fucking *god*. I hope you get really famous man, you deserve it !
Beautiful

Holy crap that was awesome!
Borja eres demasiado bueno! menuda técnica que tienes!!!
The hardest part is memorising it really, building up tempo just takes time. Hopefully I'll get this down in a few weeks!
***** What's that? Learning in chunks I guess? I learned it anyway, seems a bit derivative now that I can actually do it.
Mac post video
Its true, with time it gets easier
That's not to say its not hard haha because it is really hard
I'm gonna learn this, it'll definitely take more than a few weeks though haha, I'd say a year I might haver down solid
Haha thanks mate! The neck pickup is a Seymour duncan Jb Sh-4
Thanks it helped me out a lot
That´s great mate! Have fun!

I know this is incredibly late but could you make a tutorial on the part after all of the sweep picking too?
-Sweeps at speed 0:28
-Sweeps breakdown 1:32
Great!!!
Thanks!
You included the two quintuplet sections, therefore this is the closest cover I've seen on youtube!

tanks for tab !!!!
So playing this with a metronome what would you set it to? And what rhythm do you use also? Like quarter notes eighth notes thanks If you reply :)
hey man, awesome! did you just removed the gp tabs from your dropbox?
Hello can you upload a tab with the ending after the sweep? I kinda figured it out but i'm not sure if its correct.
@DeathmetalMalaga Gracias!!
the links are not working :(
The link is dead. Can i have the new link, bro ?
Thanks bro!
I registered another one account to make one more like this video!)) ure amazing
brutal, técnica impecable :D
Thanks so much for the video, all is clean. What Jackson is it? :D
Thanks, glad you dig it! The guitar is a Jackson KV2 Ghost Flames
0:39 is the only one Jason actually taps, the rest he plays using slides.
when do the "two quintuplet sections" happen?
Where can I find the right tab for this? I can't find the one to match this exactly which is obviously on point.
They're on ultimate guitar, guitar pro file, 1 rating 5 stars i think. I downloaded it and it's spot on, exactly the way this guy's playing it.

Hey!
You should try this so slow at first, and when you got it increase the speed. You must be comfortable when you are playing it. Have fun!
90 bmp or 100 bpm.
MAAAAN thanks a LOT
those bends
What kind of guitar is that?
It´s a Jackson KV2 ghost flames
Thumbs up daaaawwwwggg.!!!

solos of BoO are same...

I crapped myself...
how the fuck does one simply remember every note that must be played in that whole solo in slow motion....
The same way someone remembers thousands of words in different languages, by repeating them over and over again
jesus...
Thanks!
