Very nicely done. You can tell that you adapt and problem-solve naturally. That is always evident in the way you explain yourself, and it is one of the hallmarks of a successful entrepreneur. I don't do clothing, Goodwill, or much in the way of eBay, but I always learn something from your videos.
I wish we had bins, we have family thrift outlet. Everything is $2 on Thursdays and goes down by .25 each day after that, up until Wednesday it's .25 and by then it's pretty much picked through. They open at 7 and I'll get in line 10 minutes before they open. They say the same thing when they open the doors, no running or pushing... and that's the first thing they do lol, it's ridiculous.
I noticed people there pick things for the season. All the stuff people leave behind are like north face and patagucchi. So I have to pick for the next season, for example, right now in the summer I get my coats, long sleeves, and snow pants. Around early September is when I post all the winter gear. During the winter is when I get all my summer clothes and post them in late March.
I have made a number of trips to the Goodwill bins in St. Louis and have scored some pretty amazing items for my own use. Maybe one of these days I will use my "bins" experience and become a reseller.

Thanks so much been watching many sellers talk about bins and I get what they as I've seen some of clothes bins but the other stuff bins. I live in burbs in Chicago so no bins near me. But I hit goodwill on half off days
My teenage daughter and I went for the first time to Goodwill clearance 2 weeks ago.It was definitely interesting and fun digging thru bins. Sadly, this place is an hr. away so I won't be going there often. I had two separate women ask me how old my daughter was cause they had an item they thought would fit her. One lady said she has a boutique which I kind of knew by the amount of clothes in her cart. LOL! I am curious what are your prices in CO? Here in Cali they are going to raise their prices. Notice paper on the door. It was $1.79 lb. and now it's $1.99 and shoes will be $2.00 as well as other items which I can't remember.
i dont have bins in my town but am lucky enough to have one in my state capital so its a day trip (im like a litttle over 2 hours one way ) but it can be worth it to go and get both hard goods and clothing for a good price.
I was in TS once and found a very rare vintage mug in superb condition it's very sought after. I turned with my back to my cart was talking to an employee just for less than 5 min! I turn around and my mug from my cart was GONE!!!!!!! I mean GONE!!! There was nobody around! Nobody was running from my direction. It's like as if it vanished into thin air! I think , well I am pretty certain another reseller saw me taking it and they followed me throughout the store and when I wasn't looking they stole it from my cart! I could not believe it. I now never leave "good stuff" unattended. I may look like an octopus in regular goodwill at times but I know that I have my bread and butter stuff in my hands. I've seen people at the bins leave carts unattended then they complain when someone takes their stuff away from them.
Sure you might not be competing with other resellers but it's also about hoping the people who shop for themselves don't pick up your goods or that they don't know that obscure label is worth $$$ online. I haven't seen a reseller often in my thrifts, but most people that take good stuff or any stuff are just regular people. Most people don't realize you can make side cash or more selling used clothes. But there is still a lot of good stuff to find because of all the stuff people throw out, but it's also a matter of visiting the bins/thrifts often.
BTW, I have described my visits to the bins the same way the fox describes his visits to the chicken coop "Some days you get chicken, some days all you get are feathers."

I love bin thrift shopping, now that I have a baby I miss it sooo much 😫😫 but luckily I go thrift shopping where people are less rude and not shoving me for stuff lol but oh how I miss getting good deals 😫😕♥️

I live in the Spokane Wa area and we don't have high end brands most of the times... what people say "bread and butter" I say it's my high end sales lol. Love your comment "I'm convinced they will kill me" and I feel the way at mine.
In New York they say no pushing, biting or punching. They empty a table in two minutes in big bags and then go to a corner and sort what they want. Worse than a locust swarm.

I have been pushed and stepped on when they bring out new bins of shoes. I have a disease called crps and my left leg/foot is affected by it, so when someone steps on you over second hand shoes, that's crazy. it's like the black Friday at thrift stores. I want to scream chill out sometimes.

This weekend i was working out of town googled the GW outlet go to it its a regular GW but just clothes no electronics. I ask where the bibs are in another bldg. I walk in little room with maybe 5 or6 tables of nothing no bins. As i leave i glance in the warehouse and there are tons of those big gaylord containers. They should just open a section of the warehouse.
your lighting is so much better there than my bins. I swear I find new stains every time I get home. If I try to stand by the door the security guard acts as though I am trying to steal. I am thinking I am spending hundreds here womans. I am here every weekend. lol...yeah you get banned from ours if you try to take stuff from others carts. I watched a dude walking down the wall just looking in people carts as though he were shopping in them.
Hi Bethany! Love your videos! I recently found out that there is a regular goodwill in Colorado ( I’m assuming Denver) that gets the most donations of any store. On Mondays they let people go in the back room to ‘shop’ for .99/pound, like at the bins. It’s raw donations... any thoughts? I’m hunting for it, and I know there is plenty for all of us so maybe you could share with your followers if you figure it out? Thank you!!!
I always wish someone could see how people act at the bins - I always compare them to a bunch of wild animals! Last time I went, I forgot my earphones and that was a big mistake because I had to listen to all their nonsense. Thanks for sharing - found you on IG and this was the 1st video of yours I watched. Great upload Bethany! Everything you stated in your video is spot on. I go through the same thing at my bins. It is like the wild west. People do not listen. At all. Adults behaving like children. Pushing, shoving, and grabbing. Taking from other people's carts is very common at my bins. I learned to just cover my cart with a blanket. Has worked so far. It has got so bad at my bins, that Goodwill will not hesitate to call the police and ban you for life. I have seen it. Despite all of this, i still go daily because i will not allow ghetto people to deter me from making a living as a reseller. Looking forward to your next upload. Continued success!
No One They have an armed security guard at our bins. Ours consists of third world customers hoping to find clothes to send back to their countries. You have to watch your stuff because they will take your stuff. Lots of grabbing and can be hot 🥵 here in Miami. Wear latex gloves or lightweight garden gloves for the search. You can always take them off when you are doing your final check of items. Bring a plastic bin to throw everything inside your car, don’t lay it on your seat. Bring hand wash and use immediately when you get outside. Don’t touch your hair or face. Good haul.

Eclectic Betty our store makes us cash out when we fill a buggy. We can return and shop more but we have to check out otherwise you could have to wait 2 hours to check out waiting for others. Maybe different where she is though.

Haha! I always go to Denver area bins and everyone I meet is friendly, helpful, talkative while waiting for new bins to roll up. Once I had a lady bring me the matching boot I had been looking for haha it was awesome. Met a bunch of resellers there. My favorite is the old dude with the pink Mohawk going through the books lol hey I hope I will run into you one day soon, i Love your videos. I'm eBay full time for the summer. Ha ha I loved your comment on the Flax top "super ugly". No one ever says that, I personally think all the grey clothes and things that look worn out (but aren't) fit that category. People like fairly fugly things nowadays I feel.
This is very helpful to see, thank you! But the driving and filming really bothers me, it's so unsafe. For that reason it is actually illegal in many places to use a cell phone while driving, including where I live.
Recommend keeping big totes in the back of your car to keep the clothing in (exclusively for GW hauls) :)

I like to feel the material too! I bring hand sanitizer though and use it before and after.

Your bins are huge! We have an outlet in town but we only have about 14 bins and they are only about a 1/4 full!

The jacket your wearing I literally found that at goodwill and I'm selling it!!!!!!! Instead of pink and blue it's like a tan and blue colorway.
