My daughter lives in Harrogate so i know most of the cakes there🤣 the curd tart is to die for ..... Shall we start a new channel up "The cake n bun testers"🤣🤣
Sausage rolls, although I can't remember if you've done them 🤔 happy new year Dan. novelty mini mince pies, bit controversial there, down south we like man size ones 😁 Nice session there, I had a few hours on my club lake as the rivers are too high. No frosty mornings as we use to get, just continuous rain. Had a terrific run, my rod took off & then I saw it, a cormorant popped up with my sardine! A first for me, luckily it dropped my bait as I didn't fancy trying to land & unhook it. I've invested in a new rubber net, korum snapper, have yet to christen it 🎣
I think on balance the full sized ones are better but nice to have a bit of variety, bettys for the win! Same here with the weather can't wait to get on a frosty bank by a river. I've had cormorants grab my baits before too, makes your heart burst! Back out soon mate thanks for watching
Review burgers for summer , Pack of 2 , one made into a roll with garnish , One on its own as a meat patte ,,,, So many different brands ,,, Actually don’t think I will 😂😂
Good video as always ..Happy new year... nice pike shame about its tail....bet those others were fun on lure rod..best get thinking cap on for your next review....bet you must have got soaked walking back to car ..always the worst part of a session..haha..Good luck for next trip dan
Yeah the otters are really bad in my area but just got to live with it unfortunately 🙄. Absolutley soaked in the car on the way back, full strip off at the front door job, wehay!
No catch & release for those pies... almonds are always a favourite of mine ...😌😂 BTW Dan, do you inject when re-casting baits you brought in ? Congrats on the double, and you know what, they DO look bigger when ya hold 'em without chinning ! 🤔🤓 😎👍☘️🍺
Hi Peter thanks for watching mate. No I don't inject the baits ever. I'll often poke a few holes in them after a couple of hours and then slash the bait after another couple of hours but to be honest I think it's more important to get it in front of a fish! Almonds are a favourite of mine too, cheeky amaretto
Hello Dan, Pleased ya all well, and ya lovely family with new arrival, appreciate ya vlogs outstanding as always, sorry for delays on my regular posts but had major tec issues with my phone, obviously sorted now as you can see, be lucky, be safe, regards Rob safehands Harryboy Harriman Milton Keynes Buckinghamshire ave itttt come onnnnn geeeeeezor x
Great video Dan happy new year cracking pike, have you tried bait boating a ledgered rig with chopped fish a bit more accurate and it does work, a bit carpy, 😀
Happy new year to you too mate. Nothing wrong with bringing a carpy edge to other types of fishing, I do it all the time in my barbel fishing (the purists hate it 😂). Don't own a bait boat and quite like spreading the fish chunks a bit especially on the big pit I think it draws more fish in.
You will have to do stollen review next year. Great fishing as usual. I had 2 doubles from there last time I fished for pike in the big pit. But I don't think they grow much bigger than 15 in there. There are 20s in the canal however.
Stollen, interesting.... I agree with you mate pretty sure there aren't any twenties in there now, not to sound arrogant but I think with the amount I've caught over the years I'd at least seen a big fish if not caught it. Still nice to catch a few and the odd double here and there
@@dangoesoutdoors897 my biggest have come from the marina lake which can be quite pressured now but they are still in there. Talk to the chap at AM fly when you next go by and ask him about a 25lb pike caught on the river. He has a picture on his phone. If there is o e there will be more.
@@danielbrownlie9549 I used to fish the marina a lot but also think it's a bit pressured for my liking now, prefer to find my own bit of peace and quiet. Yeah I've heard of this big river fish. No doubt in my mind if I keep fishing up and down that river eventually it'll be my turn for one of the proper big ones! Thanks mate
Summer food reviews - EASY ! Scones , jams and creams . You can then eventually decide upon your ultimate combination of scone , jam and cream … it will be tough but I think you have it in you 😬😊🎣🎣🎣
There is loads of things you can review pal, you just need to think like a angler. Think of things that angler's take fishing with them to eat. Sausage rolls, pork pie's, ready made sandwiches, soup etc etc. Keep the videos coming and happy new year to you and all you family. 👍🐊
Ooooo no didn't hear about a 20 from the river. As you'll know Colin seems like everywhere has 20s all the time and I've learnt to take it with a pinch of salt. A big 15 pounder can easily be judged as a 20 if they've got no scales. I trust you though Colin, put me on to some good little lures mate 👍
I have seen a photo of the pike, definitely over 20 Dan, a big fish. Have a look at the z man range of small lures they are very good. When are you on the pit again, we could meet up if you want.
Casts like a drunk pig! Have to do a lob or swing and then feather it really hard to keep everything tight through the air. Still can happily cast it up to about 50 yards with no trouble and i seem to catch most close in anyway
Hey up,u should review pork pies or scotch eggs in the summer dude, not messaged for ages I was one of your first subscribers, great fish and video, take care....
Nice one Dan nice to get a double as well always a bonus
Lovely stuff logan hope you're catching this winter mate

Dan will be the only YT angler shilling for pork pies !! 🙄

Don't worry Dan found it ordered it.
Sorry just replied to your previous comment. Enjoy

Great video dan how have you found your new kurum rod for perch thinig of getting one thanks
Thanks Philip. Yeah I did a fair bit of lure fishing on the canals and had them up to around 2lb. Felt good and crisp.
Quick question where did you get the 42-inh rubber net from?
Eddie Turner. It was a gift so not 100% where to find it but highly recommend it. Bit heavy but to me that shows it probably strong
Do you find this rig still casts ok with the lead link swinging and flailing on the cast?

Nice one Will thanks for your support mate really helps me get motivated to edit a video.
Looks like pork pies is what the people want and I love them
Why on this session did you fish with rods at water level? Also, how do I book a guide with you?
Hello mate where abouts are u from have u ever fished the fens
North Yorkshire Craig, not fished the fens. Anything south of Wetherby services is London to me!
It can be really good down here you should come down for a weekend and have a go I think you would like it
What’s up Dan?! You like your snugpak jacket? Them jokers are expensive. Do you think it’s worth the money?
Yeah man I've had 2 over the years. My one I got in 2008 for all the winter air cadet camps I used to go on is still going strong. Thanks for watching
Summer reviews must be pork pies
Love a pork pie it's a strong contender
which pit u on nottingham racecourse maybe
: )
Thanks mate
