hi Davie, lol, wee puff of reek, love Scottish expressions! now I've heard of polar fiber but not pizzly. they make a short stiff fiber? looks like it gives the fly more structure than bucktail alone. we have a friend that raises pigs & beef cattle for slaughter. but they don't do the slaughter or butchering as I've asked her for some bristles. I did get 2 pheasant and a chuckar hunting on their property. she raises them for training her Labradors, and hunting. too bad the state outlawed feral pig hunting, it was a problem in NY but the hunting scattered them and made it worse. I hear they're pretty tasty! thanks for doing another tube vid. easy to tye and very popular. smart method of fishing too. hope all is well Davie, all the best to you.

Davie, you have probably answered this question before but I would like to know what tying wax you have on your finger and how do you keep it there? Curious in Nova Scotia :-)

      Hi Salar Fish,
I do get asked a lot what wax I use but I don't mind anyone asking...It's made by a wholesale company called Veniards and it's called Prepared Fly Tyers Wax so any shop and online company that stock their materials I'm sure will be able to help you...What I do is warm it by holding it under the warm water tap until it softens, then I'll pull off a small piece the equivalent of small button and then I work it between my fingers until it becomes tacky enough to stick to the side of my finger ready to be used when needed..
      All the very best Davie

      Hi robert andersson,
It is Wild Boar and the whole pig is covered with hair though I prefer the longest hair which I believe runs along it's neck and back..

I love all your turns of phrase +Davie McPhail. Some I recognize from my Morrison side of the family. Some seem characteristically yours.
