@@clmcmusic Dr Pink, No Time To Dye It Pink, From Panther With Love, Pinkfinger, Panthers Are Forever, the unofficial Never Say Never Dye It Pink and of course Pantherpussy. 😁 Great work and it's amazing how well they mash up.
While the cartoon doesn't exist per se, the title sequence / credits for the Pink Panther film franchise usually features PP up to all kinds of things within the Bond setting.
WTF? I was always confused between the two when I was a kid and I considered Pink Panther theme to be "funny'ised" version of the James Bond theme. I can't even imagine that there are people who don't consider these two to be "twins".
YT has been less than brilliant the last year and especially more recently. It appears that they hired some software personal. that can't hit their ass with both hands.
The perfect pairing of those series entries! Also... Pink Panther cartoon shorts also appeared before James Bond showings in cinemas in the 1960s and 1970s.
It never would have occurred to me that those two themes could mesh so well. Before today, the only connection between James Bond and the Pink Panther that I could ever think of is the 1967 version of Casino Royale.
That's exactly what I was thinking. When I saw the title I went "Mancini is sacred... just... don't." By the end I was literally thinking that these two were in heaven, looking down like proud papas.
Now I want an Inspector Clouseau and James Bond crossover. Can you imagine the hilarity of that kind of team up? Clouseau keeps accidentally giving Bond an advantage by knocking over something.
"I know your every move before you think it Mr Bond!" Lights go out for a few seconds, when emergency lights come on again, villain is wrestling with Clouseau, who in the dark he thought was Bond up to that point. James meanwhile is busy stopping the evil plan at another console. "Monsieur Blofeld, you are under arrest for the theft of the Pink Panther Diamond." B: What?! Who are you?! Bond: Not me. Which puts rather a damper on your little scheme I expect. *To Clouseau* British Intelligence wants this case with the encoder back, but the Diamond *Places it in Clouseau's pocket* is all yours old boy. When Interpol breaks in 30 odd seconds later, James has cleared out, leaving Clouseau to take the credit.
Spy hunter (bond inspired games) used the music theme from Peter Gunn by Henry Mancini who also did the pink panther theme. This connection always made me think of Bond and Pink Panther as well

That is fantastic. The transitions are absolutely faultless between the two tunes which are very identifiable in their own right. I love the way that the 'Bond heme' sits nicely under the 'Pink Panther Theme.' Beautifully composed.
This combo of two iconic movie themes is beyond epic. Really well done & snappy ! Also like the pink lighting on the keyboard to set the mood ... a masterpiece !
That "3 notes up & down" base line of the Bond theme actually makes it ripe for playing lots of things over it. Love what you did here. I wonder if you've also done a "James Bond theme/Inspector Clouseau theme" mashup? (The Clouseau theme is heard most prominently in the second Sellers/Clouseau film, A Shot in the Dark). :-)
Actually - don't get confused. There seem to be two (or more) themes that people refer to as the "Clouseau theme" on TH-cam! The first one that features in A Shot in the Dark is the one, not the other other one from the later films that's used, for example, when Clouseau's trying to break in to Dreyfus's Castle in Strikes Back, which is a nice interlude tune, but isn't the Clouseau theme! Actually, the Clouseau theme was used for the Inspector Clouseau cartoons that appeared in the Pink Panther TV show as well). Sorry, I'm something of a Sellers Clouseau fan! ;
