But so many scalpers and bad actors have infected all kinds of hobbies now because people have become obsessed more with the monetary value of something than actually enjoying the hobby.

We just opened the EX Violet box and clearly it was tampered with. We got 4 hits from the whole 30 packs. I just returned from Tokyo and EVERY Pokemon store including Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo had sold out. All the wholesalers there are stripping the stores and selling them online for triple retail. Japan is shooting itself in the head for Pokémon. It will all fall over very soon…

I've heard rumors of jpn boxes with two SRs but cant confirm if these are error boxes or something randomly intended. which means if you pull a SR then no SAR Im afraid. These new pokemon full arts look like they have a bit more going on with the background. Im digging the design much more than sword n shield era full arts.
False: korean booster boxes are literally $22-$25 each. I bought 5 eevee heroes myself physically. Prices are twice as much when brought to our market for some silly reason.

So basically by us paying the ask prices from Korea in USD they are making 78,300W before fees and currency conversion from USD to KRW. thats a 2 to 2.5x flip on their end 😅
Love Japanese boxes went so far as to sign up for a tenso account and figured out all the pokemon Japan stuff to enter the lotteries for a chance at being able to purchase 1 box. Would never be able to afford these crazy secondary market prices on my extremely limited budget. No luck in my first bunch of attempts since Scarlet and violet began. Fingers crossed with these next 3 including the special iono box with both boosters in them. May have to sell a few things if im one of the very blessed few however it would certainly be worth it and im also not really counting on it 😅
I feel like if your a streamer or content creator, go ahead & spend the premium. But for regular guy/girl it's best to pay $60-$80 tops maybe close to $90 for japanese. English $60-$70. Ofcourse $90 or more --> $130 $170-$270 mite be the new normal for japanese. Judging by how much new English Grey/silver boarders cost $60 for etb, I'd pay japanese $80 to maybe close to $90 but no more. 😅 it all depends, if your chase is in there & you love it, then take one crack/risk at it. I miss buying japanese that's for sure. What yall think..?

It’s funny, people like this poke retro guy below, are happy when stores like pokene get boxes for $50 and then sell them for $57 Becuase they get a good deal. But when the same store still has a business to run and has to pay $105 for a box, and puts the same sub 15% margin on it, people act like they’re intentionally screwing customers over and that’s simply not the case.
I would buy dozens of boxes to sell packs to my followers who couldn’t get them for cheap, or for big giveaways. Like I said, I have stopped since this has gotten so crazy.
