Awesome video, John! Thanks for sharing your findings.
You can add more countries to target, but you have to request access. And we've found it depends on what countries you target to increase performance. US and Europe are expensive and offer less results. Whereas third world countries offer better results, more followers and long term follower engagement, but no conversion to Spotify. They will listen on TH-cam and other music services. Also avoid choosing Pangle and other platforms while creating you TikTok ad.
Love it! Thank you for sharing!
Happy New Year John-Great video , you just gave me the layout of Tik Tok ads.
My experience was that Tik Tok still need a lot of work with their targeting, also you are locked down to particular regions based on your location, so there is a lot of tweaking in the back end to target other regions.
This is really helpful! Thanks!
Great info. I think with TikTok, ads should be of something featuring a scenery or people. Even if its juist royalty free videos. TikTok audience doesnt react to static videos.
I would be interested to see how these same songs would compare in performance with a different type of ad.
These are NIGHTMARE numbers! And a waste of money.
love your videos keep it up! :)
Thanks for the great feedback!
hey John! I'm having running ads because I don't know music about the tiktok copyright authorization. Would you know anything about this?
I Have a question, I started launching tiktok ads these few weeks, I got loads of clicks to my Spotify (20.000), but none of that converted to actual streams. Do you know what's going on???
did you tried with non static video ?
Very helpful video. I subscribe now! Hope you make a similar test with snapchat ads.
Thank you
Is the ad cost more using this system like an ad on fee? or you only make $9.99? No upcharge? Do you get cheaper click cost by amalgamating the clicks together? So cpm same with or without you?
Great question! Most marketing agencies charge a percentage of the advertisement fee. No us. It's currently a free trial to get started, then just $9/month - no matter what our ad budget is or how many campaigns you run.
The cost of Tiktok ad conversions are a joke compared to meta and they also do a poor job of evenly distributing ads to multiple countries. Definitely not worth it at this time.
Yes, agreed on he conversion ads. To clarify what I did for this test, which I should have mentioned more clearly in the video: these campaigns all targeted the US only - no other countries.
I think with tik tok unless the videos stand out it won't work, I think also tiktok might be better for marketing playlists
Will TikTok Ads be integrated into Hypeddit campaigns?
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Thank you, Mickey! Great feedback!
so show how does it work, how do you do this?? this video didnt help nothing
Tiktok ui looks v Facebook-y!
Yes it does :)
I would of boosted an already viral or organically high performing tiktok vid instead of a bland boring cover art vid creative. i think that alone would of drastically changed the results, no offence.
Totally! 100% agreed! No offense taken at all. The better the video, the better the results. So I'd look at the results of this campaign as a floor with lots of upside.
Great test, but I would say the result is a complete failure. You get too little of overything compared to the enormous amount of money paid. You can pretty much get that amount of views likes etc by for free posting just a video every few days. And the most important, you don't get paid by Tiktok for views, likes or any other types of engagement, you get paid for the amount of videos created, that have your music in them. This is from personal experience: one of the video (an absolutely dumb btw) with my band's song got relatively big in Brazil some time ago with people starting to react to it, so video creations per week grew by thousands of times, and it directly affected the cash inflow, and it was without any input from my side, because we're banned from Tiktok. Too bad it didn't last long. So you probably need to encurage people to make videos with your song, to challenge them somehow. If this could be addresed in some of the future tests, it could be awesome. No idea how it can be done though. You probably need to dress up and dance silly.
CONGRATS on your success with your song on TikTok, Vladimir! That's awesome! I 100% agree that there are different ways to get exposure on TikTok. What I LOVE about ads is that it's instant + guaranteed + doesn't require my time. In a perfect world, I would be making TikTok content all the time, connecting with creators, etc... but the truth is that I don't have the bandwidth to do any of it. I literally have just minutes I can spend on music promotion. And making a video, then crossing my fingers that it goes viral is too small of chance for me... like playing the lottery. If content goes viral, it's amazing! And I LOVE that you got to experience this.
@@Hypeddit Thanks! Even if it wasn't really a huge sucess. I see your point in trying ads the way they work on Facebook and Instagram, but it seems just not worth it. Still a great test, gives a lot of info about this platform.
scam and boot likes. this is the same shit as when you did soundcloud boots........
Boot like? Lol
