Because while the videos talk about Knull saying how he’ll destroy the world and how he’s a god of darkness, it obviously doesn’t seem to faze the slashers because they believe that he’s just all talk. While Pinhead does acknowledge that he’s a dangerous person, the others for the most part think that if any one of them were to ever come face to face with Knull, they’d kill him. Alex ends up being cornered by soldiers, and knowing he was dead, decided to release the virus by breaking the vile. Soldiers gunned him down and Alex was dead, but he falls on the puddle of the virus. He wakes up in the morgue and discovers that he has lost his memories, but also discovers that he has powers. The powers include super strength, speed, durability, endurance, running on walls, jump extremely high, his body can create bladed weapons, his body can create blunt weapons, his body can create a whip, can create a shield, can cover his entire body in armor. He can also consume people, and when he does, not only will he gain the memories of the person he consumed, but he can also disguise himself as that person. There’s a few more but it’s hard to explain. Throughout the story Alex tries to remember what happened and make who is responsible pay. At some point Alex finds a woman who was infected with the virus the first time the government tried there experiment and accidentally releases her in New York and she infects the city. Monsters and zombies like creatures spread through most the city but he stops her. Though Alex stopped the virus, the government thought New York was a lost cost and tried to nuke it, but Alex saves New York.
