This is the server where Ketmit the Frog was our teacher, we had a coalition called the Buttersworth Family of like 20+ people then the admins kicked us because we kept asking to go on a field trip to Voldemort's house.
The best thing about this is that, while all of this was going on, the _hardcore players_ on the server were sat in their make-believe classes in silence waiting to receive a spell book.
The funny thing is these players aren't failing RP at all. It's just the admins being overly rigid. Protests against sorting is something not that improbable to happen at some point within the Hogwarts setting
Ive never read the books, but I would be surprised if sorting is not at least a little controversial in them. I know some people were upset with their sorting, it only makes sense that some unsorted wouldnt want to be.

RP is usually the embodiment of chaos in mmos, you never know what you're in for. Rolling with the punches and making it work is the mark of someone whos actually rping for fun, not to have a power-trip fantasy. I think a lot of people use RP as a way to live their fanfiction, often disregarding other people's agency. And get mad if things don't go the right way. I've gotten into a lot of problems with people cause my character didn't like theirs, and called them on their shit. They'd resort to meta or ooc crying about it. Rpers are so cringe, I feel second hand embarrassment.
