After watching this, makes me glad that Anthem brought TNA from Carter and Corgan. It took some time but TNA is becoming a great place for wrestling again.
TNA may have seen the writing on the wall and booked themselves into becoming the dark horse/best kept secret/alternative to WWE while somehow working WITH WWE and coming out looking Great 👍🏼

@whyphy2213, couldn't agree more!! I LOVE the current product!! My only gripe is the current state of the knockouts division. It desperately needs a reboot.
Oh wow, you really did watch TNA longer than most of the rest of us did. I tuned out in 2014 when The Menagerie thing went nowhere. At that point I felt, that they were really starting to give nobodies TV time and Crazzy Steve really stood out to me. It wasn't really his fault, as his run turned out to be worth something, but for some reason it is his name I tie to my tuning out the most. But sticking around for 3 more years is truely masochistic. :D
@sickboy703, I know, I'm still angry at just how he never seemed to be able to crash through that glass ceiling!! Though he came close a few times. Also angry that he only got one very short-lived world title reign!
Wow, yeah thank you for the reminder. You can kind of see AN effort, but not THE effort required to keep the magic alive. LOL And by magic, I mean that limp wizard sleeve kinda hocus pocus that had frayed from the once-magnificently assembled from top to bottom TNA. Your commentary was hilarious as always...I can understand how you wouldnt wanna put up with any of this shift. Prichard is just the creepiest.
The fact that March 23rd, 2017 was the day that you stopped watching IMPACT Wrestling means you were a die-hard rider. I stopped watching IMPACT Wrestling on January 9th, 2014 because AJ Styles was mistreated in his last match. I watched TNA from 2005 to 2014 along with WWE and that episode of IMPACT Wrestling (January 9th, 2014) caused me to leave and I stopped watching WWE in mid-2015. By late 2015, the only wrestling I was watching was Ring Of Honor & New Japan Pro-Wrestling up until 2019 when AEW took the third spot in my wrestling companies to watch, then ROH was done for me by early 2022 when Tony Khan rebooted it and made it AEW lite. From March 2022 - current times I have been watching WWE again and it's much better since Triple H took charge of running it and booking the shows. I still watch AEW and NJPW as well.
I can't remember when exactly I stopped watching, but I know it was sometime in 2017. I just stopped caring about TNA entirely, none of the storylines were interesting to me, I didn't care who was champion, I'd just forget what happened the previous week cause I was so disinterested when I was watching, I just couldn't care. Only wrestlers I remember liking in TNA at the time were Bobby Lashley, James Storm, Eli Drake, and EC3. I don't exactly remember who I disliked, but I just remember hating Eddie Edwards. I've never been a fan of him as a solo guy, and seeing him now I can only assume hes gotten more unbearable
@@dwightyboy5324 Eddie Edwards is a really good wrestler under his Die Hard character and moniker in Pro Wrestling NOAH. Really wish he used that version of Eddie Edwards in TNA as when he used his Die Hard character and moniker he was the GHC Heavyweight Champion.
What turned me away from Impact was the title run of Bobby Lashley that went on forever. He would drop the title briefly and then get it back soon after. I found Lashley extremely boring back then.
Man, you last a lit longer than me. I tapped at the MEM forming, and watched a few episodes of Monday Night Impact. I understand where you're coming from though, TNA was the only alternative to a sh!t being shovelled down the throats of WWE fans, and I desperately wanted TNA to get it together and start competing with Vince.
We stopped watching TNA around the same time. I had been watching TNA for a long time at that point, even carrying on watching through the hogan stuff which was bad.
I had no idea Bruce Prichard's first move was to put himself on TV. You could have been watching wrestling for 15 years and never heard of him if you weren't lurking on the dirt sheets. Imagine if Brian Gerwitz started cutting promos.
I'm glad i wasn't watching during this period. This was terrible! Lmao, i forgot all about Reno Scum! The oi boys!! They were still around when i started watching again in 2020, but thankfully left, not long afterwards. Me, i usually try to focus on more of the best of what TNA has had to offer, over the years. MarkyD, you were a true superfan to still be watching in 2017! I'd love it if you did a career retrospective of Deonna Purazzo, so far, especially her run in TNA. I know, you're one of the only wrestling channels i know of, that would consider doing this video, which is why i ask. Damn, i miss Deonna in TNA, & hope she returns when her AEW deal is up.
I remember my wrestling schedule: Monday Raw, Tuesday ECW, Thursday TNA, and Friday Smackdown. TNA was my favorite by far. I started to phase WWE out other than SmackDown, but never missed an episode of TNA, until Hogan arrived. Hogan's time in TNA made me quit watching wrestling
2017, damn, I stopped watching in 2016 because I was tired of wrestling, I started lifting weights, and I started playing sports. Oh, and it was hard to catch them because the channel station was frequently changing.
Honestly this is when I gave up on TNA. I just didn't care for most of the people they were showcasing. Only people I really remember liking around this time we're Bobby Lashley, James Storm, EC3 and Eli Drake (Now LA Knight). It also didn't help WWE had a massive makeover and reintroduced the brand split, and it was pretty good from mid 2016-Mania 33. It just became to hard to care about TNA during this time.
I gave up and stopped watching TNA after Slammiversary 2017 I was so disappointed with what I just ordered & watched. I didn’t watch another TNA show until April 2020 because of the pandemic (I believe TNA did pandemic era wrestling better than WWE and AEW) I’ve just haven’t stopped since and I’m so happy for all the attention. TNA is getting right now.
@@KZ-mo2rz im definitely tuned in again as theyre doing their best to make a good product im invested in their youtube clips the partnership with nxt is a winning move
Man, you were in it for he long haul. I stopped watching shortly after the conclusion of Aces & 8s. Nine months of wasted time, and a silly payoff. Even though I've heard good things about them in the last few years, I can't bring myself to watch anything more than a clip or two. Maybe if they get on an actual TV station, I would check them out, but that's a big maybe.
I gave them a chance when they moved to Destination America. I dipped around the move to POP. Several factors contributed. Besides the drastic dip in quality TNA/IMPACT was going through at that time. There was like an indy boom during the mid to late 2010s. Lucha Underground was making a lot of waves. NJPW was staking their claim in the American markets with the Bullet Club. Lastly, NXT was basically PWG/ROH but with a WWE budget and HHH was poaching off all the indy talent. I can't give you a precise time, but around 2017ish I basically came to the realization that TNA/IMPACT was not "the alternative" anymore. I haven't seen the brand the same since.
I swear I’m right there with the Hawk. This episode broke me when I watched it and I stopped watching TNA. Plus ROH was a better alternative to watch at the time.
Yeah, is he even still married to Karen?? Despite no longer having any kind of dealings or ownership of TNA, Jeff still watches & still wants to see his creation succeed.
I liked Davey Richards better too. I was so confused when Davey left and Eddie stayed. It made no sense. Like keeping Jannetty and getting rid of Shawn.
Oddly enough I have absolutely no image of Bruce Prichard outside of a WWE production, pretty weird seeing him pop up in this video. Never realized he was in TNA at some point. 😅👍
I stopped with TNA during AJ's last match with the company. WWE was when they Ruined both the Fiend and Seth Rollins in one match. Thankfully both are back to being fun again in my opinion
Marky, I just watched RAW from September 5, 1998... It was so bad and the first thing I thought about when it was over was "Marky needs to see this!" A top "How Bad Can It Be?" contender!
I liked Davey a lot more than Eddie too. It sucked when he left. I liked Josh. When he went and the black guy was the main commentator and you could barely understand him with a British ear i couldnt stand it 😢
I gave up around this time too as the shows just got gradually unwatchable. I was probably watching a little longer than this since it was the only wrestling on free TV here in the UK at the time and I kind of just recorded it and just stopped watching after a while and deleted the episodes
The booking 😂 i was a heroin addict at this time and i can remember justifying it to myself that it was understandable it was bad when it came back from the enforced breaks. There were still characters i liked Eli, ec3, Decay, James Storm, Lashley so it was still worth watching. It was only when i couldnt get the show on freeview anymore I stopped watching. Even bad tna was better than other channels at 9pm on a sunday 😂 Velvet ❤ they still had sexy women too.

Just for the record, I said that I was watching all tnas ppvs, thanks to you
Now I'm in 2007 watching the Impact episodes too (James Storm's theme is a banger)
2007 the year of comedy. It’s a great year enjoy!
@Jajanken98, MarkyD's channel is what got me watching TNA, then Impact wrestling, again, in 2020. I'm still watching & am loving the current product. 2007 was a great year for TNA, & the year I first started watching.
TNA gave up on me back when they move to Destination America with out telling me 😢
After watching this, makes me glad that Anthem brought TNA from Carter and Corgan. It took some time but TNA is becoming a great place for wrestling again.
TNA may have seen the writing on the wall and booked themselves into becoming the dark horse/best kept secret/alternative to WWE while somehow working WITH WWE and coming out looking Great 👍🏼
@@Digital_Pissidk abt darkhorse but the tna wwe arrangement def seems to be paying dividends. Give nxt guys a place 2 wrestle and get their name out their even more while tna stars get 2 see the big lights every Tuesday
Anthem does not care about tna lah
The day AJ Styles left TNA, that was the day TNA became an absolute joke.
That "Oi oi oi" shit is legit channel changing stuff
Josh Matthews was unbearable in this era.
Total go away heat.
Yeah, so glad they took him off tv!
Lol i like the music in the back it goes well with the rest of the video
Davey Richards always gave me Chris Benoit vibes, in that he is a great worker but doesn't have much of a personality.
Ripping up a Velvet Sky poster should be punishable by prison time or worse!!!
I love her bc she was hot
Punishment should be locked in a room with Wes Brisco watching his old matches for 24 hours.
@@Wolf813921whoa there, that’s a bit extreme
James Storm had the potential to be the long term face of TNA...
Loved everything that man did on TNA television.
I just finished watching Kurt Angle's debut in TNA through the end of that year. Really fun wrestling, I'm having a ball.
I dont think i saw this show. I would have been absolutely furious and disgusted at Decay losing that match 🤢
TNA is in resurgence Slammiversary 2024 was great. Worth watching its starting to grow again.
@yussafmalik7712, I couldn't agree more, & this is an awesome comment!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Amen to that. I stopped watching the sane time.
@@idlersshooter Grammar error, but I feel you.
Nobody needs the life story mate
@@dwightyboy5324 Eddie Edwards is a really good wrestler under his Die Hard character and moniker in Pro Wrestling NOAH. Really wish he used that version of Eddie Edwards in TNA as when he used his Die Hard character and moniker he was the GHC Heavyweight Champion.
What turned me away from Impact was the title run of Bobby Lashley that went on forever. He would drop the title briefly and then get it back soon after. I found Lashley extremely boring back then.
TNA was desperate during this time. Bobby Lashley, James Storm and Abyss were the shining points during this time.
Been a true TNA fan since 2002 and never turned my back on them. Tonight TNA put on a phenomenal ppv
Agreed, & wish I could say the same. I'll say one thing, I'm sticking with TNA, from now on, no matter what happens!
Also love the pokemon Karen Jarrett intro
The Hawk wins with Karen's intro. BitchNuts is a new insult I'm using from now on.
Can anyone find the video of Tyrus debut in TNA and botched his promo in like 2014?
They were Impact long before then. They turned Impact when Hogan was still there.
I wish I had the brain power to recall what exact episode I stopped watching but for sure it was during the Claire Lynch storyline
The Monday Night RAW formula
I remember my wrestling schedule: Monday Raw, Tuesday ECW, Thursday TNA, and Friday Smackdown. TNA was my favorite by far. I started to phase WWE out other than SmackDown, but never missed an episode of TNA, until Hogan arrived. Hogan's time in TNA made me quit watching wrestling
“the man that enjoys taking his own life…” 😂😂😂😂
You stayed longer than I did. I quit watching in 2013.
Bad TNA just gives me nostalgia to WCW in 1999-00.
im watching loads of wcw 2000 at the moment it moved from an obscure channel late in 2000 in the uk from TNT.
1999/00 WCW was shit!!
TNA hasn't been this good at least since 2013.
I gave up on TNA after Slammiversary 2017. I did not watch another episode of TNA or even watch it on TH-cam until 2019 and that was only on TH-cam.
You should watch it now its good
@@KZ-mo2rz im definitely tuned in again as theyre doing their best to make a good product im invested in their youtube clips the partnership with nxt is a winning move
@@KZ-mo2rz I did when January but after Scott was fired I lost some fate in TNA!
@@williamwhite2830 Good to hear!
Same. But TNA is back bay bay!
My episode was so bad, it had to be disqualified! Fair enough though, it didn't have any wrestling in it, so it was operating at an unfair advantage.
You’re a real one. I stopped when AJ left.
Thornstowe was honestly a really talented competitor. Reno SCUM wasn't bad but they were directionless and had potential
Laredo Kid was a star in Mexico so you're wrong about that one.
Sheera was a star in Ring Ka King, what’s your point?
@@jtizzle124This is honestly a dumb reply, there at 37 million Mexican Americans. You sell to that audience. You're genuinely so dumb.
Laredo Kid's Digital Media title reign was way too short-lived!
@@jtizzle124the point is in the statement
I pretty much gave up on TNA/Impact when Galloway and Lashley were gone
Same time i did actually
Basically 🎯
I didn't come back to Impact until they were on Twitch. That's how bad it got.
I swear I’m right there with the Hawk. This episode broke me when I watched it and I stopped watching TNA. Plus ROH was a better alternative to watch at the time.
Weirdly, this was shortly before the very excellent Slam 2017 PPV.
Man to say Laredo Kidd is someone no one knows is suspect
I stopped watching wrestling all together, when AJ left. i didn't want TNA without him and i didn't want him in Super-Cena WWE.
Damn i quit because of dixie carter becoming an integral part of the show. I salute anyone who survived that lmao
@Pedro-jy6ev, yeah, Dixie isn't missed at all!! She caused them to lose the deal with Spike, & start spiralling for a long while, after that.
we know what makes bobby happy... his sisters 🤣
Aces and eights was a good story line
I must admit I popped when you said Karen Jarrett because I knew that Slapnuts couldn't be far behind.
Yeah, is he even still married to Karen?? Despite no longer having any kind of dealings or ownership of TNA, Jeff still watches & still wants to see his creation succeed.
Davey Richards looks like Gollum before the ring.
Karen Jarrett and Jeff Jarrett trying to be Hunter and Steph was awful.
Funny because this was around when i stopped watching TNA as well
I liked Davey Richards better too. I was so confused when Davey left and Eddie stayed. It made no sense. Like keeping Jannetty and getting rid of Shawn.
The guy who got the pin in the 2nd match is the star in OVW series Wrestlers on Netflix
Oddly enough I have absolutely no image of Bruce Prichard outside of a WWE production, pretty weird seeing him pop up in this video. Never realized he was in TNA at some point.
😅👍
He’s been fired by Vince at least two times that I can remember.
2011-2013 then 2017-2018
This channel is awesome. Subbed
“A Wild B!+
I stopped with TNA during AJ's last match with the company.
WWE was when they Ruined both the Fiend and Seth Rollins in one match. Thankfully both are back to being fun again in my opinion
Great video
I am from Croatia and I never knew their was wrestler who was coming down to the ring with our flag, lol.
He isn’t a hero in your country then? 😂
i stopped watching tna back when Lashley won the X-Division belt while holding the world belt
Never been so early to a Video of the Hawk
I get you here, big hawk.
TNA After AJ Styles & Sting Left Was A Dark Times For Them
😂😂 remember this episode
Dang show was everywhere
Marky, I just watched RAW from September 5, 1998...
It was so bad and the first thing I thought about when it was over was "Marky needs to see this!"
A top "How Bad Can It Be?" contender!
I liked Davey a lot more than Eddie too. It sucked when he left.
I liked Josh. When he went and the black guy was the main commentator and you could barely understand him with a British ear i couldnt stand it 😢
Velvet Sky ❤❤❤
How was heroin?
@@Big_talks. Addictive. 😂 Been clean 6 or 7 months now. 👍
Edit: it probably makes bad TNA more watchable though 😂
@@arostwocents congratulations bro, stay clean 🙌🏾
I really commend you for watching into 2017, i was way before that but i kept up with things up u til AJ left then i was done lmao
Remember those God awful, one night stands & Joker's wild ppvs??😁
First warning sign this is going to be crap is when "the lone wolf" has someone accompanying him to the ring.
Hahahah
That jake Holmes looked good just seemed to be missing a certain...SOMETHING
That episode was on my birthday. Glad I didn't spend it watching TNA
Josh Matthews was the worst. He was literally everywhere. Nails on a chalkboard
On no other TV show would the entire cast of characters change and the writers still expect you to care?
Don’t even have to look outside the wrestling bubble to see this happen in NXT 2.0.
