- Race 2 from the Gamma Racing Day 2014 held at Assen TT Circuit in Holland. The race is also a part of the European Superkart Championship - round 1.
In this race i still have problems with 4th gear and also the exhaust comes loose to make it perfect :-(
I finish 8th in this race.
I drive a PVP Superkart 250 cc, 6 speed, 95 Hp, 218 kg including driver.
Video is made with Trackvision software, AIM laptimer and a GoPro2 camera.
Enjoy! - กีฬา
great race Henrik. Seems you have some problems with your gearbox... Traffic is cruel thing in a race. But I amaze with your 234 km/h. Excellent kart engine in a proper hands. Take care, man.
Very good driving, pity the gear change issue wrecked the race for you. PVP's are awesome under brakes and you carry some excellent corner speed :)
Great video, but we don't have the full hd ! With the other videos we can turn in 1080p and here not.
Continue like this, it's cool to see this kind of sport ! :)
i hate it when people lose coz of the car/kart...really i just dnt like that feeling..
You had the problem always in the same curve and on the start line but well done :D
Loving these vids! Still lacking a bit in top end power eh?
Great video as always
Great video as always Henrik,
Bit of a shame that the problems from race 1 were still there in race 2. The draft must be huge when following a train of superkarts as didnt expect to see you going 234km/h into 2nd last corner before last chicane on lap 1. With the EGT's they seem to be running hotter compared to other videos, is that a side effect of the upgrades to engine or just running leaner air fuel mix/lower fuel pressure? and is 650°C the hottest safe level(noticed the right side of the data logger flashing when both EGT > 650°C) before engine problems/seizures occur?
I'd hate to find out what the RPM readout of engine on lap 3 turn 1 was, when downshifting from 2nd to 1st. Sounded pretty brutal on the engine.
Regards
Scotty
Hi Scotty, Yes it was a real shitty weekend with the gearbox problems. I EGT increase is from the engine update. I had temperatures between 660-685 all weekend without leaning out the engine more than normal. It seams that i have more power on the first couple of laps but i think this is in the nature of the engine getting hot (normal temp) in the crankcase.
I think for me 234 km/h is a new personal topspeed record for Assen.
For the next round in Le VIgeant we plan to have another update...
top RPM was only 16.043 on that lap in question.....
on second last lap it was 16.267 RPMs.. but i recommend to stay around 14.000 max. but for that you need a gearbox that works ;-)
sorry top EGT was 700 degrees.. don't put your fingers on the exhaust. On the cooldown lap i could feel the exhaust temperature through the seat, my leathersuit and my ribprotector that is 10 mm thick...
I think everything under 650 degrees is absolutely safe.
Sikke noget skidt, med det gear...
Great video Henrik, I have a question, how does your cut-rpm shift works?
Its a mechanical system with a spring and a grounding of the cut off wire on the standard PVL ignition system. www.pvpkart.com/speedshift-3.jpg
Agreed great vid and vids. Would love to see some normal perspective lenses used too, as the ultra wides are used in f1 nowadays too, in old days a more standard lens was used and one could sense better how tight various corners are and therefore how even more impressively speed is carried through
best lilja !!!!!!
How old are you and when did you start karting?
Pedro Silva just google him...
when are you able to get the 4th gear fixed, its really chopping away at you time.
Should be fixed for next race. We actually changed it on the Track between races but it broke again in the second race :-(
damn thats just unlucky. well good luck at the next race when do you think we'll see any footage of that one?
That is a good question. I try to do it quickly but schedule is often crazy when i get home from a race
That's understandable Henrik. Well good luck at the next race, hope to see you up in the top 3 again: )
