As a person with low vision, my frustration is lack of large print books. Bookstores seem to presume that only the “newest bestseller” needs to be in large print.
She needed to go to The Half Price Book Store, a great used book store chain that was very much around during the taping of Designing Women...you simply won't find a better group of people anywhere who are knowledgeable...and NO, I have no connection to them on any level except as a grateful customer...
I love the way she says "with little suction cups." The bookstore clerk looks like the same guy that played the temp that took Charlene's place in the office so she could take care of her daughter.

Once again Karen Sigarbaker presumes to render a fair and appropriate judgment of bookstores with her highly selective and questionably valued recitation of aspects of their business decisions that she seems to think are inappropriate and worthy of ridicule from her prejudiced viewpoint. Now imagine that book clerk going to her office to find good interior design and products... "But when I decided to pay for and entrust you with a skilled and worthy and artistic offering of classic design principles in creating my homes library, I clearly failed to see how well your designs are served by the myriad of cute cat throw pillows for everyday of the week, or some other silly, needless and cloyingly cute accessory that no sofa worth it's upholstery would tolerate!"
