Do you know if the USB port has power output or is it data only? My tv is old and lacks USB port, so I was planning to power a fire tv stick of that port and I want to make sure it does before purchase it. I'll be gratefull if you could test it for me! Regards!
I bought this for £22 (manufacturer refurbished), it arrived today & I love it. I can now play music & listen to podcasts in my bedroom with clear non-frazzled loud sound instead of the speakers from my phone, or from my old laptop which was terrible to listen from. Good VFM.

Prefect. We just use a big monitor dumb screen in the bedroom with no speakers but has an audio out. We just use it with a Google cast dongle and a Bluetooth sender connected to the audio, it can send to two sets of Bluetooth buds at once but this will be very handy in place of the Bluetooth sender. I do believe we have finally crossed paths at the same time by red brother. Sold! Many thanks.
Watch out! Bowfell sells open-box "Majority" speakers, without the manual, and, without 2 AAA batteries to fulfill new orders. And, they pose as if they are market place sellers to add confusion when the complaint starts. And, Amazon will strike them for submitting the open-box damaged packages for a new condition price. Just don't expect you will be supported if you get the used item or lemons.
Apart from some blinking lights there is no display on the sound bar to indicate what the buttons on the remote are doing. I just have it connected to the tv using the 3.5 lead, though I'm not sure that would be enough to use sound bar to full effect.
Gave up on this as a possible purchase because not one review talks about the speakers, how many, what size, are they at end of bar or is one at end and one in middle, without that info am not interested in buying.

Most likely it's a second aux input. Let's say for example your TV doesn't support HDMI-arc nor Opt digital, but has aux out and coax digital out then you have to use an aux cable to connect this soundbar to the TV then if you want to connect like an older mp3 player to the soundbar that's what the other aux input is for. I might be wrong, but that's what I expect is the reason.
is there a way to set it up were you would just use the cable box remote, looking at it for my parents and they don't want a lot of remotes to deal with.
any ways to control volume from keyboard instead of remote as this does not seem to work as it should. I can mute it using keyaboard but it does not reacting for diffrent volume inputs
I purchased a 1080 Sceptre 24" TV from Walmart and the sound is terrible. I was thinking of sending it back but saw this small Sound Bar on Amazon and took a chance and just ordered one before coming to this You Tube Video. Will report back to this post and let you know what I think if it worked for me.
Got it today and can’t get it to work in my TV. Directions are terrible. Tried all 3 cables it came with and got no sound out of the sound bar. I was hoping a 800 number was included but there isn’t any. Only email when you go to their website.
Replying to my own post. I finally got it working. Once again Instructions are not the best. Read somewhere else about Soundbars and changing some settings inside the TV for them to work. Saw no indication in the Bowfell instructions to even push me in that direction so I wasted a few hours of my time today because of it. Hopefully my post will help someone else who I am sure will have the same problem at some point.
@@markshirley01 The TV settings in order for the Soundbar to work with my TV. It been well over a year ago that I did this in order for the soundbar to operate properly. I can’t remember at the moment exactly what I did but it was in the TV controls of the 1080 Sceptre 24” TV to except the soundbar. It worked so well I purchased 2 more of the same Soundbars from Amazon. To use outside on the enclosed Deck for a louder sound when needed and also for its Bluetooth Capabilities for music going through it from my iPhone. Did the same in my 42x60’ Pole Barn where I have a TV to watch while out there if I choose to. The area is so large that the sound of the TV wasn’t large enough for the 2500 Sq.Ft. Space out there. The soundbar made all the difference in the world and also for its Bluetooth Music Capalbility it was a no brainer to set one up out there also.
I don't know but I don't trust an unknown brand call me picky or concited but I only buy Sony, Panasonic o Lg soundbars maybe Vizio or TCL I still have my 2015 Sony soundbar I'm upgrading to a Samsung brand I just seen one for $87.99 like new with a subwoofer 2019 model at least is newer than my soundbar
You can replace your smartphone speaker for light music and gaming with this, but definitely can't be used for home theater as advertised. The sound is just too weak for that.
Yes it is mate. That's actually a big thing for me which I never mentioned in the review I don't think. Lots of films, the talking is too quiet or you struggle to hear them. This sound bar does help with that.

As a rule, a soundbar has never really been my thing or ever really interested me in the past, that would be down to being a bit of a surround FREAK! and watching movies via my Blu Ray player and AV Reciever. However, having recently purchased a Samsung Q60A 50 Inch 4K QLED Smart TV from Amazon the sound on these things are really tinny which is down to them being a lot slimmer than my previous Samsung TV. To be honest, it's only really watching Blu-rays, DVD's and streaming Amazon prime that I will always use my AV Reciever for and for normal celestial TV channels I don't bother having it through the Reciever. My previous TV was pretty much fine watching TV that way. But this new TV is honestly dreadful soundwise and is a complete tin box. Having read some of the raving reviews for this product I thought I would give it a whirl and it was cheap enough to do so. However, having done that I can honestly say that the Majority Bowfell Bluetooth Soundbar only produces the same tinny sound as the Samsung Q60A 50 Inch 4K QLED Smart TV and the extra 40 bucks I paid for it was a complete waste of time and it left me no other alternative but to return it for a refund. To be honest I think the product is very well built and gives you a lot of features for the buck. Its sleek and elegant design even sat nicely on top of my centre speaker underneath the TV that is mounted to the wall. I would even say that it looks like you are getting your money's worth. However, their decision to put EQ settings on it instead of bass and treble controls is what may very well have let it down. The 3 EQ presets they give you are also hardly distinguishable as well. I agree wholeheartedly with the many 1-star reviews on Amazon of this product and even though it looks like you are getting something for the money the sound quality is not worth any more than a couple of quid I am afraid and it's nothing but a Tin Box on that score.

Again cos there's no hdmi, you have to power off the speaker separately from the source device.
That doesn't bother me at all. Different things suit different people, you're obviously harder to please so you'll more likely have to pay more for those extra features! Remember, this is a budget soundbar for most people.

Just to let you know, I am watching the above video on my dumb monitor with audio coming through your recommended sound bar that got delivered yesterday. It really is well worth the very useful price. I too get the static noise when changing mode and using the Toslink. I am pretty sure it's only static but it's not an issue anyway is it? I have a convoluted set up but useful for us. Firstly we cast from our devices to the Google Chrome cast in the back of the big monitor. We have a hardwire connection from the monitor audio out to our dual Bluetooth sender/receiver input, then the Toslink out on the BT sender is connected to Toslink input on the soundbar. The BT sender/receiver has a 3 way switch that I set to bypass, this allows all physical inputs and out puts that are hardwired into the sender/receiver to connect up. So, job done but it also means that when either of us wants to throw some earbuds on we are not disturbing the other, it's just a case of changing the 3 way switch to tx output for the BT to turn back on and connect up. I bet your scratching your head now? Lolol. Many thanks my fellow red. :-).

I’ve just ordered one from eBay for £21 look for a refurbished one from the velocity store. I’ve bought from them before and the items have been spot on.
Guys don’t buy this. First, sound is really bad, you can always hear something like thunderstorm coming from subwoofer and second after two or three months l can’t connect it with my tv via bluetooth or cable not even with my iPhone or samsung
So if you connect it through Bluetooth with tv, do you still need to use the sound bar special remote to volume it up or down? Or you can just use the tv remote only to do that?
Optical gives the best sound; unfortunately, I have to use two remotes. I cannot find any universal codes that would work with Xfinity remote. With Bluetooth, I can use my TV remote, as well as Xfinity remote, to control volume. Bluetooth's sound volume is lower than optical and is not as good in my opinion. The worst choice is the RCA cable; sound quality is not good and requires two remotes.

The best sound is via an HDMI ARC port. This soundbar doesn't have one.
