I've had the Beta Fish color in my basement for a few years now. I love it with the dark 80's (but nice) paneling and I have black closet doors and furniture with it as well and a wall with white and black wallpaper. Love it!

While watching this I wasnt sure a bed in the centre or a dark wall would work for a small room till the very final reveal. You have such a great eye for composition and colours, as a painter I love how it came out🎨 Very inspiring.
It looks lovely! Two things I would have added would be a throw blanket in yellow and a small floating shelf for some books. It would be nice to have a few photo albums, and some books for the guests to read in the room. :) I loved how it all came together and that pipe wrap is such a great material.

Tina, I didn't think I would like the dark colors but with the lighter furniture and the accent wall wainscoting I love it! The room is cozy and functional, as well as beautiful.
I made over my mom's kitchen last year, and also had to take down one of those wallpaper borders! I did it the same way, peel off the top layer, wet, & scrape. It took so much less time than I had feared it would, AND I actually got to just throw all the paper on the floor as I worked and I made my big brother sweep it all up when I was done and it was a really great moment for me lmao.
I only found your channel today and can't stop binge watching through it, seeing all those old pieces repurposed into this final result is a trip. Amazing work 👏

I really love that accent wall that wood on the bottom is so cool. and the placement of the bed and the tables and lamps on each side really looks so great, that standing lamp in the corner I really love and I actually have one myself and it gives me asian vibes for sure. I wasn't crazy about the paint color, but it looks amazing in the end! My room is also small, so I went from navy blue to white to make the space look larger. I love that you spray painted the bed frame because now it's like that popular black metal bed frame. I would update the sheets too and the mattress cover/protector. I'd probably get a larger rug but i really love these budget makeovers.
Love the teal colour you used. My favourite colour and variations are used throughout my home. Just need to do my bedroom and then I'm finished. Lovely room and very inspiring.

That green paint color with the brass bed would have looked exactly like everyone’s bedrooms in the 1980s so cute how the trends return. brass beds will definitely make a come back.
I have to admit, I was with your mom on this, I thought the color was a bit too dark considering the lack of natural light in the room but the end result looks amazing! Awesome job!!
