Unfortunately Shakeel Sir left us very early while I was doing my graduation. On Shakeel Sir’s departure I had written a letter to respected Naushad Saheb and was lucky to receive reply even. Shakeel-Naushad combination with Rafi Saheb and Lata Ji’s is ultimate. I personally feel that without doubt all the great singers have given their best with Naushad Saheb but I still feel that NAUSHAD SAHEB couldn’t have been able to deliver his soulful melodies without the support of of Rafi Saheb and Lata Ji. I even say that Rafi Saheb’s voice has given new dimensions to the acting of Dilip Saheb or for that matter anyone who got an opportunity to act on the screen. I had life time opportunity to discuss about Shakeel-Rafi and Dilip Sir with Naushad Saheb. Kindly accept my sincerest thanks for this presentation. With warmest regards🙏. According to my knowledge there are no songs in Resham Ki Dori written by Shakeel Sahab and in Rafi Sahab's voice. The last songs from what I can gather are: Mere Mehboob Tu Mujhko - Beti 1969 Mujhe Ishq Hai Tujhi Se - Umeed 1972 Umeed was a late release as far as I'm aware, so it's difficult to ascertain which song was recorded last..
