Dude! I ran the NewYears Day Marathon here. I was running late and showed up 5min before the start. It massively thinned out once the halfers finished. I agree it was less like a race and more like a supported long run. I also PR’d it which is always a plus. I wouldn’t fault your watch either for the distance. My Garmin showed about the same. When I looked at the map it was wonky under that tunnel. So I think that was the culprit.
Nice work on the PR. That's great. It's definitely a PR friendly race. I was going to see the Day marathon as well, but, well, you'll see my excuses in the next video. :P I've showed up late before. Never fun, especially for something like that!! My watch always seems to run long. That was the highest % long it's done, but it must need to be calibrated or something. But it's good to know someone else had the same issue.
