Big difference. Obviously the one that has less kg's is gonna have an easier time beating the one that has more kilos, he is gonna be faster than his enemy which is a huge advantage, he can tire the fatter one easily etc. In my opinion the only disadvantage the one with less kilos is that it's gonna be harder for him to throw the fatter one on the ground , unless he has a lot of strength in him.
Gunny Akdo i've just started 2 train karate a few months back and i'm only 16 so take this with a grain of salt but -if you're a kid you may not hit hard -if you're an adult you can hit preety hard on smaller turnaments -if you're on massive televised turnaments you can't hit so hard. Aparently they have to make it look safe(so no trouble is made with the law and karate gets in the olympics faster) P.S. there are also other styles with diffetent rules(like kyukushin)
@@randomguy-wz5ud I would ask the same thing when I saw your answer. Is it real? He did not score that point because he hit too hard? This rule really sounds stupid.
Pessoal...
Point fighting is such a dull sport I never enjoyed it.... to busy not attacking because they are to worried about counter attacks. Still its better to watch that TKD hahah.
@marianagai9045 congrats.... I've studied Shotokan Karate (JKA) for 18 years and am a 4th Dan black belt I am also 2nd Dan in Judo and blackbelt in TKD..... and never once did have I danced around like these twats.....I fought full contact for about 3 years but its no good for your body I now study for my own learning and never disregard any martial art...
I hate those rules. They make karate ineffective and bad habits are perpetuated. Karate should have similiar rules as K-1 but with undercuts being allowed.

Rather, it is a huge blanket category that covers a variety of styles, many of which are sports and many of which are not. Most effective martial arts are competitive sports. That includes basically every combat sport such as boxing, wrestling, BJJ, judo, taekwondo, muay thai, kickboxing, real karate, and others.
this is our Brazilian idol Wich you don't have respect because of patriotism, if someone you like loses doesn't give you the right to offend other people
Cause they're just playing tag. Where the power that Kyukoshin is all about? Not to mention blocks and counter attacks? No wonder they won't allow them in the Olympics.
Albert Caballero You have got to be joking. If you really think that kumite is just a game of tag, then I'm sorry, but you are laughably wrong. It requires technique, speed and quick thinking. You will always find boring matches in every sport. You cherry-picking. Karate, along with skateboarding, surfing, baseball and climbing, has been officially approved for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Imo, all these shitty rules especially the full body contact removed were just to tickle the stupid Olympics wannabes idea which will guide sports Karate the Olympics Fencing way - empty halls, no attraction, media coverage mainly in the background, and world unknown champions that no one knows except their coaches and clubs. Karate as a martial art is great enough and doesn't need any Olympics rules that make it look ineffective and boring.
With all my respect, I can't understand point fighting, let these guys fight 3X3 rounds in full contact, they'll find out after the first round how ineffective their punches and kicks are. Let these guys punch the makiwara 300 times with each hand then move to the sand bag for 3 minutes without a break then push ups on the knuckels. I'm a Kyokushinkai black belt and WTF Tae-Kwon-Do and won several competitions, but these guys here...sorry. Oss!
Brose fazendo história no karate !
TheVosDaronnesEllesBoiventDuSpritSaMere 78 shut Up. VERDADE, ele é fd.
Ele é minha inspiração no Karatê
Good to watch Brose's Kumite, he's amazing.
wtf is the referee doing? Has he forgotten how to shout yame?
My maiden surname is Brose, I typed it in the search bar for YT many months ago and found this guy. Unique.
Luta demais Douglas brose
06:00 Did Berens see that coming?
Considerado falta

I see a lot of competitors getting their chins clocked from celebrating early on points
hhhhh limada?
Traditional Karate > KWF
Luis Molina é WKF
Kkkkkkkkkkkkk mas ok
Noooo
5:59 Excess of contact ? You must to be fucking kidding me.
What does it mean "excess of contact" in a fighting sport ?
The Brazilian shows unsportsmanlike conduct by celebrating before the match is over. This is not the way of true karate-do.
karate competitions here in Brazil are more aggressive, most of them allow this kind of things, wkf has forgotten the Okinawan karate
06:00 this guys is a bad actor. Just accept the defeat with honor, man!
