      @@AKLECTURES Blood from the IVC and SVC do not mix in the Atrium. They only mix at the level of the PDA. Please correct me if am wrong

    I dont understand one thing. In the left atrium, we have oxygenated blood. In the right atrium, we have "mixed" blood (or partially oxygenated blood). The blood goes from the right atrium to the left. Arent we supposed to have mixed blood in the left atrium ?? (I know that its oxygenated blood in the left atrium but I can understand why). Thank you for your help !!

    sir, why pressure in the right atrium is higher than the left so that foramen ovale is opening in that particular direction?

      left sided pressures are weak in the fetus because circulation to the and around the placenta is super easy, almost no resistance. so left sided pressures are really low making the slight pressures on the right side higher
