the reason why they don't make the screen look like 100% real is because this is a trailer for the webtoon, and the members are supposed to look like 3D characters in a 2D world, so I suppose that's why the screen looks weird at times. That's just my opinion hahaha
Hehe it didn't really take me out bc while I do like picking out stuff that makes sense after you point it out and explained it, it's still just minor detail stuff and I still get immersed in the story bc it's supposed to be fantastical after all 😁
You should also react to the enhypen (dark moon) and txt (The Star seekers) ones. They are also great! I love your reactions and explanations. I understand more about the Musicvideos and storyfilms. ^^
It looks so good! I don't think it looks real like real life, it's more that it looks real in the same way a really good looking game would be realistic looking, you know? And those games (and this film) looks crazy good. Love the adventurous, dystopian, anime/webtoon-like vibe it has
To answer a question you said: Fans have been wanting to know how BTS do their Music Videos. So they have been filming themselves making MVs for years. You might want to check them out; especially their earlier MV Making of.....where they film on locations and in sets with very little to no green screen work.
It didn't ruined experience. It's actually webtoon so this feels kind of anime, and better version of animation with real people. I wish they could have shot all story but only promo. First episode is out. Read if you like anime.

I agree with you that it seems a bit imperfect and it is possible to tell that it is a flat screen behind them. I just think that since the Webtoon is 2D, but they are real 3D people, that unfinished look may have been intended. I could be wrong, but I think if BTS / HYBE wanted a full cinematic look with that quality in post, they could have made it happen. I can't wait for the OST! It doesn't ruin it for me but what you're saying is the VERY reason why I never watch making of any movie or animation or behind the scenes stuff UNLESS it's BTS & I watch theirs because, well, it's BTS, lol.
I don't think it looks like a screen or all that real exactly.. it looks hyper-real and stylized which it's a fantasy-future story to be told in a different medium so as a preview I buy it but a whole movie or show? .. I'm not sure if I'd like it as much. It's very pretty tho. Edit: I mean, they're posing a lot. It doesn't feel quite real because it's not an environment they're interacting with all that much. They're all relatively close to the viewer and kinda not touching anything or walking around. That's what's making it seem a bit off to me.
I agree and yet, that works for me here. Because they’re not actually actively doing anything in any scenes here. They’re presenting the web toon. For me it’s sort of like-a movie poster in motion.

there is a video where they become their "avatars" like the webtoon characters and its so good. Its all cartoon but its just sooo good.

I think it's intentional, when you look at the tree in V's shot, it looks like what it would look like in the aktuall webtoon..
