Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip are probably one of the greatest live acts I have ever seen and more importantly, they're genuinely nice guys. Any time I've been to their gigs (either as a duo or individually, in Pip's case [side note: get your behind to Ireland, Dan le Sac!]), they've always taken the time to interact with their fans (Pip even signed something calling my friend a c*nt, which my friend was more than delighted to receive!). It's rare to get acts like this and hope they never change!
Dan_from_the_internet As it turns out, Stephen Fry is a supporter of fox hunting and Pip and Dan recorded another version replacing Stephen Fry in the lyrics.
Darren Wright Stephen Fry said sexual assault victims should 'get over it'. Yes, there's a bit of context behind that quote, but it's still pathetic that a guy who dedicated an entire series to his own mental health issues would tell sexual assault victims something like that.
"Another rogue for the gallery. When challenged, Stephen Fry says that he doesn't support hunting, however his writings suggest otherwise. In addition to his "rat-faced weasel" diatribe, he also stated in another book, "I have no quarrel with fox hunting"" facebook.com/stop.the.cull/photos/another-rogue-for-the-gallery/686327758139595/
I remember skipping class to go around my mates to rip a few bongs. He shared a room with his brother and put his iTunes on.. safe to say I was ducked after a 2 ciggy mix. I lay down on his bed listening to music. This came on and I was like ‘what the fuck is this?’ Must have played in about 10 times in a row. Shit was nuts. Good times. Been sober 4 years now but look back on those days with fond memories even if it all did put a little strain on the mind.
I love this song so much it was shown to me like a decade ago and I cannot forget it because it’s so different. It left memory in my mind so that I can find it forever.
ok., it's Friday. This song went for a couple minutes on a playlist I have especially made for... Friday. I open the door to my car in the driveway, which happens to be on a heavily foot-trafficked path between a college and a park (two minutes into the song). Wild, uncontrollable dancing occurs on the street. It becomes so infectious that I have to freaking keep my car running while putting groceries away. Thanks Dan Le Sac, you killed it.... in my driveway tonight.
This whole album is brilliant, I love it. Although I must say that I like his delivery on this version of the song than on the album version. Also, I wish there was an explicit version of this video.
From ever since I heard this track, another level I knew it even at that time. After the whole discography it's defintely true whatever Scroobius made solo or collabed with Dan le Sac it's great and must listen. A smart man with something to say. Dan is interesting as well with greasy beats and creative sampling. Peace out!
I always wondered why they bothered to re-record this vocal. It's just fine! This was the first one I heard on the radio back in 07. It was an indie station that didn't last long but they played amazing music. Can't see why they didn't last long.
What was the station? I am curious. I was introd to Scroobius Pip on xFM that was an indi station. Before the station changed to RadioX the even had him doing a shoe.
I was playing this video while staring out my window, once this line came up I turned to my monitor to give it a nod, and saw you'r comment. Feelgoods were had.
This reminds me of my philosophy teacher who was this badass rebel and used lessons to have fun. He would ask us questions to provoke thought and to make us double think about what he was saying, as an example: "Is all love the same kind of love, or are there different types of love according to the different people in your life?"
Nostalgia trippers! How many hours have the hundred references in this song added to your night's binge? TH-cam just reminded me that The Streets exist! Now I've got to go through all of these again as well?...going to be a long night.
Have thought of it too, in fact I'm my playlist comes first lcd and then this, they go well together and it's a bomb for references that take you to listen all those other bands and so on, it's great
I really like this video, and part of the irony I relish is that when he's listing all the bands that we should not put on pedestals, the albums he's throwing are all inside protective covers so they're not damaged when he throws them. From the way they bend, it seems likely the vinyl isn't inside, either.
Thank you for uploading this. It really is so much better than the censored version and it allows us to get back to the message rather than being obsessed over a few stupid blurred out logos & album covers. Props to both of you!
Scraping together three thousand bucks to go see you is ... feasible. Especially if I hock a kidney. I mean, it would definitely be easier on me if you guys could make it to the US and play a show in say, San Francisco, but the whole kidney-selling-flying-to-the-UK-in-luggage scenario works as well. Love the vids!
This song is amazing, how have I not seen this until 2015, Scroobius Pip you look like Borat in that suite, seriously but your talent is amazing, so glad I stayed up all night drinking and came across your stuff.

One thing I never understood about this video... Pip says to never put musicians on ridiculous pedestals, but doesn't he kinda do just that with Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer, Johnny Hartman, Desmond Decker, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and Syd Barrett (plus Steven Fry)? :p
Scroobius Pip's lyrics and vocals are very good can't deny,. But the instrumental is in my opinion 24 carats pure, perfect gold. And i'd like to listen to it by itself, but unfortunately, I can't seem to find it anywhere on the remarquably large whole internet. If anyone..
Adam Chmielowiec I always thought that was the "slang" use of the word kill: to go out and "kill it", as in 'be awesome'. But thinking about it, the literal 'kill' makes a lot of sense in that context too.

When I first heard this song I pictured Richard Ayoade rapping.
now thats all I hear.. thanks
Daniel Kinsella lol
When I hear this song, I always visualize Richard dean anderson rapidly putting on pants, over and over, with a look of confusion in between.
For me, it was Romesh Ranganathan but Ayoade works too.
Yeah it’s awful
I love the way the video loops itself, ending when he switches off the tv to walk out of the door at the beginning of the video.
