The fight inside ubw with Gilgamesh makes you wonder if Shirou is really a human. Fighting toe to toe with a servant and almost beating him is really just unbelievable.

To be fair, all the heroes from their legends (the ones that actually existed anyway...) achieved what they did as mere humans.
If they can reach that level, so can Shirou, even if the modern day makes it hard.
