All very well,unless like me you are just past retirement age, still working to save a decent amount while I can. My saving goals are getting further away. I don't have the luxury of being in for the long haul. The need for me to access my (rapidly dwindling) Kiwisaver funds will be upon me in very near future
Don’t despair Elaine, but call your adviser or the team at AMP to check that you have the right settings for your tolerances for the ups and downs of investing. Generally people don’t need all of their savings at once when they retire - they need a regular stream of income or drawdowns from their savings to supplement their income. Again, your adviser or the team at AMP can help you with this. We know the markets will settle down and start growing again at some point - we just need to get through this tricky period.
